STYLE DIRECTION:
Laidback Coastal This casual decorating style is all about easy-breezy living. Think a cleverly blended mix of coastal elements, tropical hints, whitewash timber, natural stone and fun patterns to give your home a relaxed yet luxurious look and feel, whilst maintaining a super family-friendly atmosphere. If you’re the type who doesn’t mind sand beneath their toes and likes to throw their feet up on the coffee table, this style is for you! The quality of our furnishings can take a little neglect and won’t demand delicacy or excessive maintenance; they’ll stand the test of time and the test of everyday, real-life living. It’s casual but it’s also elegant, creating a comfortable and inviting space with laidback vibes that feels like home.

CHANNEL INSTANT CHILL
The Entry Your home may not be an entry to sea, sand, sun, salty breezes, shore birds and treasures washed ashore, but that doesn’t mean it can’t evoke these feelings and channel instant relaxation, ease and fun. Your Laidback Coastal Entry is an opportunity to create a calm and easy-going space that beckons relaxation beyond, while also helping to keep your casual lifestyle ordered and on track with functional furnishings and décor. You’ll need a place to dump your bag at the end of the day, a bowl to stash your keys so they can be found tomorrow morning, and some chilled-out lighting so you don’t stub your toe as you kick off your flip-flops.
Because your entryway sets the tone for your bright and airy home, you'll find our curated items in this style particularly fresh with a very clean aesthetic that includes natural fibres, light-coloured wood and plenty of woven elements. You're a casual and breezy family, so your home is too, and it's going to show from the very moment you walk through the door with this fabulously laidback furniture package.

ENTERTAIN LIKE IT'S SUMMERTIME
The Dining Area Yes, summer in Australia is long and wonderful, full of cold drinks with friends, balmy evenings around the table and steaks on the grill on the regular. But in the depths of winter we barely think about sun, sand and surf anymore. With a Laidback Coastal style at home, however, you can capture some of that summer charm all year round! Bright, cheerful and casual, our modern coastal style keeps things simple, close to nature and filled with plenty of light. Of course, in true ML Home style, we always add a touch of modernity to give it a fresh, contemporary twist.
You’ll love gathering your family around the table throughout every season with this stunning curated furniture package, set to create memories around the dinner table that bring laughter and stories for years to come.
ML HOME TIP: Break the expected colour of blue and introduce sweet sage green tones for a modern take on Coastal style..
