Poem of the Month: Entry can be from any pupil from any year group Usually, ideas are sent out to stimulate imagination and creativity, but there will be plenty of room for students to express themselves and interpret each month's suggested title or focus. Entries are judged by an editorial team made up of students and Mr Cobb. Poems can be entered via an English Teacher, delivered to the English Workroom (opposite Room 27), or emailed to Mr Cobb. Winning poems will be published outside English classrooms and in the school student magazine.

Writing competitions During the year, there are several opportunities to be entered into writing competitions, where students can have their work published and win prizes for themselves and the school. Look out for the posters around school, especially in the English work area.
