Audition for a part in Tipling Stage Company’s first production of the 2016-2017 season, No Sex Please, We’re British, a 1971 farce by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, which ran for 16 years in London’s West End. Try out for a part on Thursday, August 18 at 7 p.m. at Grace Tipling Hall in Shelburne. Six men and four women will be cast and, those new to theatre, may be interested to know that there are some small parts ideal for anyone 20-plus wanting to gain some experience. There are two principal parts for young men, one - originally played by Michael Crawford, then David Jason (both of whom were young in the 1970s), which will appeal to 25- to 40-year-olds who love to show their stuff in comedic roles. Other parts are for a young woman, a middle-aged woman, a middle-aged man and two male parts where age can range from 30-60. Denis Stephenson will be directing. Check out the Tipling Stage Company website for more information at tiplingstagecompany.com.
