Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society would like to extend their appreciation to all those who helped make our biennial garden tour such a huge success. Thanks to David Bruce Johnson & Tracey Kolowska, Paul & Charolette Vorstermans, Gord & Patti Cunningham, Lani & Charlie Moses, Brian Koturbash, & Andrea White, Dale & Michael Gee, Robert & Marilyn Chenier, and Catherine Morrisey & Steve Loewy for sharing their beautiful gardens. It is because of their generosity, along with the dedication of the organizing committee (Maureen Quigley, Lani Moses, Jim Harkness, Susan Hough, Gail Caswell and Nancy Falconer), the assistance of over 60 volunteers and the enthusiasm of more than 330 attendees that we were able to raise about $6,000 for local arts and heritage initiatives. The winners of our Mad River Draw are M. Stewart and Mark Thompson - each of whom won a golf pass for two. To find out more about this active volunteerrun registered charity go to PHAHS.ca

The family of the late Rhea Alderson would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to those members of the staff of Creedan Valley Community Care who lovingly cared for our mom, grandmother, and grandma-great, over the past 3 1̸̸2 years. The care and compassion shown, particularly in the last few days before her passing were above and beyond. You have shown us that there truly are "angles among us"`; we will never forget your kindness. Linda Mills, Ron and Larry Alderson and families.

They had a sense of humour And a sparkle in their eye A helping hand in a time of need On that you could rely Maybe we can’t touch their hand Or see their smiling face Maybe we can’t hear their voice Or feel their warm embrace But something we will always have Tucked safely on our hearts Our love for them, their love for us Will never let us part. Always loved Never forgotten by Joan, Stan, Marlene, Wayne, Brenda, Heather, Jack and Robert.
