THE WISE MEN OF EL POMAR 2018 Sextant Kamal, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Sextant Night Watch, Proprietary Red Blend From our Reserve Estate Grown Series, these wines are exclusively crafted with fruit we grow on our perfectly situated estate RBZ Vineyard in the El Pomar District. The Kamal has become a regional emblem for the expressiveness of Cabernet Sauvignon. This 2018 vintage is elegant with tiers of cherries, figs, and plums emanating from its core. Fragrant rose petals, cinnamon, and cedar add dimension. The velvety mouthfeel across the mid-palate from smooth tannins and brooding acidity enables incredible versatility with food pairings. Bold and full-bodied, the 2019 Night Watch is an intricate and seamless composition. Ripe plum and pomegranate are accompanied by chocolate covered blueberry and a dusting of strawberry creamsicle. Glossy tannins and vibrant acidity lead to a nuanced and persistent finish.

WE THREE KINGS 2018 Sextant Octant, Bordeaux Blend 2016 Sextant El Pomar, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Sextant Genoa XIX A gift that’s sure to please even the most discerning palate; the three reigning kings of our estate RBZ Vineyard. The 2018 Octant Bordeaux Blend was hand selected from the best barrels of the vintage, comprised of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 15% Petit Verdot. The 2016 El Pomar Cabernet Sauvignon shows off rich complexity, with cranberry, cherry and dark plum, along with notes of lavender, rose petal, cocoa powder and sandalwood. Our Genoa XIX is an introduction to complexity from the very first tug on the palate.

Expressive cherry, blackberry and fig are layered with a contoured texture and refined tannins.

STELLAR STOCKING STUFFERS 2020 Sextant Chardonnay, Central Coast 2018 Sextant Zinfandel, Central Coast Wildly popular and perfectly food-friendly, these two gems are classic characters year-round, but especially during the holiday season. Notes of fresh mango and guava immediately open in the 2020 Central Coast Chardonnay, along with hints of Meyer lemon. Bright acidity on the front palate slowly transitions to wonderful flavors of lemon meringue pie. On the other end of the spectrum is our 2018 Central Coast Zinfandel. Dark in color and brooding on the palate, this wine explodes with brambly boysenberry and black cardamom. Rich, full tannins add weight and texture while bright acidity brings balance. Dark fruit flavors of plum, black cherry, and wild fig add a juicy core to the mid-palate leading to a luscious finish highlighted by sweet vanilla and hints of clove.

RHÔNE FOR THE HOLIDAYS 2018 Caverio, Sextant Founder’s Collection 2017 Portolan, Sextant Founder’s Collection Bring a French flair to any holiday table with these two elegant Rhône-style reds from our Founder’s Collection.

Crafted in the distinct New World style of Paso Robles, while incorporating a bit of Old World Rhône tradition, this pair is truly a treat. The Caverio is our Grenachebased GSM, the 2018 blend is 85% Grenache, 9% Syrah and 6% Mourvèdre. Aromas of red plum and strawberry are followed by notes of fresh potting soil and red clay.

The 2017 Portolan is 100% Syrah, and full of vigor and intensity. Brooding notes of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate are accompanied by boysenberry and dark plum.

VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS 2019 Sextant Wheelhouse Zinfandel 2019 Sextant Holystone Zinfandel A gift for the Zin-fans on your list! This pair pays tribute to Zinfandel, the quintessential California variety. The 2019 Wheelhouse Zinfandel is bursting with aromas of vine ripe strawberries, Bing cherries, and red plums that scream Paso Robles Zinfandel. Hints of cocoa powder and fresh vanilla bean add layers and depth, while raspberry-like acidity provides the perfect framework.

The 2019 Holystone Zin is bold, stylish, and captivating.

Strong notes of dusty cocoa powder and mint accent flavors of fresh strawberry and ripe cherry. Smooth and supple tannins enable a finish that is steady and expressive.

Made perfect for the holidays, in the French Méthode Traditionelle style, our 2019 Sparkling opens with notes of fresh white peach, cashews, and cantaloupe, accompanied by subtle hints of fresh bread and clarified butter that rounds out the aroma. In the front of the palate, nectarine, green apple, and citrus zest are followed by notes of slate minerality mid-palate, complimented by a slight nutty finish. Bright, fresh acidity presents itself upon entry, and a smooth exit finishes off this delectable wonder.

2018 Paris Valley Road Sauvignon Blanc 2017 Paris Valley Road Merlot 2017 Paris Valley Road Cabernet Sauvignon These three wines aren’t hens of course, but they were inspired by the French! This trio of classic Bordeaux varietals is a delicious compliment to any meal, making it a great gift for just about anyone – even for yourself.

While the Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and elegant with enticingly bright citrus flavors, the Merlot offers integrated oak and a profile of deep dark fruits. The most complex of the three, the Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and smooth with a good tannin structure. Offer these as a gift or at your table with an avocado-orange salad, potatoes roasted with fresh thyme, and a juicy grilled steak.

2019 Paris Valley Road Sparkling 2019 Paris Valley Road Chardonnay 2017 Paris Valley Road Cabernet Sauvignon The joy these wines bring to any occasion is immeasurable.

The 2019 Sparkling is our bright new release, just in time for the holidays. It is full of yellow stone fruit notes, accompanied by green apple, citrus zest and cool slate minerality, and finishes delectably smooth. The Chardonnay is unencumbered by oak or secondary fermentation, allowing clean and clear tropical fruits to shine in concert with vibrant acidity and a lovely, lifted mouthfeel. A true Paso Cab, our Cabernet Sauvignon is all about expressive red fruits with subtle undertones of oak and spice, beautifully balanced acidity, and solid tannin structure.

2018 Paris Valley Road Malbec 2017 Paris Valley Road Cabernet Franc 2017 Paris Valley Road Petit Verdot Dark red velvet ribbons tied to holiday wreaths are incredibly reminiscent of these wines – warm, gorgeous, and festive. The Malbec presents a silky entry with a soft opulent texture, paired with dynamic acid and polished tannins. Our Cabernet Franc brings a rare chance to taste this variety on its own, as it is more often than not used as a blender. A brooding wine of black cherry, maraschino cherry and eucalyptus, with hints of tobacco, baking spices and black cherry. The deep and dark Petit Verdot showcases nuanced flavors of rhubarb and freshly baked olallieberry pie.

Enticing citrus flavors offer a crisp, clean finish that will leave you thirsty for another glass. Malbec is certainly a unique choice for a Rosé, but its natural color and character make it our winemaker’s go-to.
