2022 Serving Our People Gala
Kollosche was honoured to sponsor the 2022 Serving Our People (SOP) fundraising gala, held on Saturday 8 May at The Star Casino.
A total of $637,000 was raised from the event to support SOP in their endeavours to help those in need across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
The annual black-tie ball was attended by business leaders, executives, SOP volunteers, entertainment personalities and more than 50 Kollosche team members.
Speaking on the evening, Kollosche Managing Director Michael Kollosche acknowledged the capacity and desire to give back during a year where many were not so fortunate.
“Events can turn your life upside down and organisations like SOP can turn it back around,” says Michael. “Helping those less fortunate makes your character shine.” Funds raised will be used to expand SOP services, which deliver basic goods from meals to furniture to those who need them across communities.
Since March 2020, SOP has served more than 52,000 people and provided 25,000 meals to households in 16 locations in Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast and NSW.
