The Coronet Theatre and RADA have formed a new partnership to present RADA’s MA Theatre Lab’s Lab Works.
This week-long project combines workshops and scratch nights, and culminates in a series of original ‘theatre-shorts’, enabling artistic development, public visibility, and new networking opportunities for these emerging artists.
“We’re thrilled to continue this collaboration with RADA MA Lab, one of the only courses in London that truly champions experimental, laboratory, practice.” Anda Winters, Artistic Director, The Coronet Theatre.
“We hope that this partnership between RADA’s MA Theatre Lab and the Coronet team will continue to offer graduates the time and space to continue exploring collaborative and experimental approaches to performance, in a ‘brave’ and playful environment.” Ian Morgan, MA Theatre Lab Course Leader.

“I can no longer tell the difference between my arse and my face, now that I am the CEO, if you will, of a small human that was dragged out of me!”
Inspired by real experiences, m(other) reveals an exhausted new mother at breaking point, dealing with her birth trauma with as much humour and grace as she can muster with milk stains and goodness knows what else plastered down her shirt! You either laugh or you cry and this woman is determined to do both!
m(other) is a funny, tender exploration of what it means to be a mother in this modern age.

Midnight Mist coming through cracked bricks
A silent echo
A soul eclipse
OUT! is an introspective, poetic, and physical one-person show that explores the psychological archetypes and human psyche, inspired by the works of Carl Jung. The story revolves around a mysterious encounter with one ’ s own shadow and ego. What is this mysterious dark presence that follows us like a beast’s tail, constantly pursuing us through the realms of our minds? Do we know all the corners of our mind and its intentions?

You can close your eyes but remember that the hidden never goes away…
Created by Sharan Atwal, Ellie Iley, Marilou Tamvaki, Matéo Troianovski and Francis Thurstun-Crees as graduates of RADA’s MA Theatre Lab course
Five strangers trapped in a room. No memory of who they are or why they’re there. What happens when the mind fails, but the body retains the echoes of the past?
The Jellyfish Enigma is a poignant, other-worldly mystery about memory loss and interminable love. With jars of jam.

“For me, the artist is at the heart of the programme, and I work closely with the makers of the pieces I bring to London, sometimes watching and encouraging them for years. In this increasingly fractious world, I feel strongly that one of the greatest uniting forces is the international language of and desire of all of us to engage with art, whether as a maker or spectator.
My goal is to fill the theatre spaces – the Main House, Print Room Studio, and bar – with diverse and wonderful arts from across the world, celebrating all its many forms and the audiences who enjoy them”
