First times encapsulate various experiences which evoke different emotions within us all. These feelings have the potential to be tremendous or heartbreaking. They can embody life’s pivotal moments, vital lessons, or tragic events. Upon receiving submissions for our theme of Firsts we realized the importance of having discussions on both the difficult and positive aspects of our experiences. It can often be cathartic to access these emotions and translate them into art. We welcome pieces which tackle all subject matter, and there are many included within this zine that address difficult situations. We hope it helps to open up conversations, and allow all voices to be heard.
