Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form Dear Students, Parents and Carers, It is my pleasure to welcome you to Quest 6. There has never been a more exciting time to join our Sixth Form. Quest 6 is growing, our curriculum is expanding, our facilities have been transformed and, most importantly, our students are achieving exceptional results. Last year, we achieved our best-ever A-Level results, including an ALPS 1 - the highest possible ALPS grade. This is a significant achievement and means our students made outstanding progress from their GCSE starting points. Our results place Quest 6 in an exceptionally strong position and make us one of the strongest choices for post-16 education locally. When considering other Sixth Forms and colleges, I would encourage families to look carefully at the outcomes students actually achieve. Our results speak for themselves. However, excellent results are only part of what makes Quest 6 special. We have listened carefully to our students and significantly expanded our curriculum, giving you more choice over the subjects you can study and the future you want to pursue. Alongside this, our brand-new Q6 Café, refurbished Common Room and dedicated Sixth Form spaces have created an environment where students can study, socialise and enjoy greater independence. As Head of Quest 6, I also have the privilege of leading across Years 11, 12 and 13. I see this as one continuous three-year journey. For our current Quest students, we already know you - your strengths, your aspirations, the challenges you have overcome and what you are capable of achieving. You do not have to start again somewhere else to experience something new. At Quest 6, you can gain the independence of Sixth Form while continuing to benefit from staff who know you and are invested in your success. For students joining us from other schools, you will become part of an ambitious, welcoming community where expectations are high and where we will quickly get to know you as an individual. Our ambition extends well beyond examination results. We want every student to leave Quest 6 with an excellent destination, whether that is university, a degree apprenticeship, further training or employment. Throughout your time with us, you will receive the guidance, enrichment, experiences and individual support needed to help you take that next step confidently. Interest in Quest 6 has never been stronger, and we are preparing for what we expect to be our first oversubscribed cohort. That is an exciting reflection of how far our Sixth Form has come – but we are only getting started. Choosing where to study after Year 11 is an important decision. Look at the courses. Look at the facilities. Speak to our students and staff. Most importantly, look at our results. I genuinely believe that Quest 6 offers something very special: outstanding outcomes, greater choice, fantastic facilities and a team of people who will know you, challenge you and believe in what you can achieve. I hope this booklet gives you a flavour of what is waiting for you. Your next chapter starts here. Welcome to Quest 6. Mr J Henry Assistant Principal - Head of Quest 6
