Adding a bit of cheer this Christmas

Cobar Weekly’s 2020 Christmas Cheer competition, sponsored by Peak Gold Mines and Cobar Powerhouse, was expertly judged by the Cobar Girl Guides, Lilliane Brady Village residents and Cobar Weekly staff with five winners selected. Pictured above is Peak Gold Mines representative Laura Barnes with top scorer Robyn Floyd, whose display in Gould Street was a winner with all of the judges. Robyn collected $500 worth of Cobar Quids. Kaila Manns’ display in Beersheba Court was the runner-up for a $350 prize and Trish Haines (pictured with granddaughter Gabby Parisi) was third with their display in Bradley Street earning them $200. Two entries were also highly commended, with displays in Bathurst Street and Nyngan Road collecting $100 worth of Cobar Quids each.
