National Service Medals for Far West Team

NSW Rural Fire Service Deputy Commissioner, Peter McKechnie (seated at centre) was in Cobar last Thursday to present National Service Medals to members of the Far West team in recognition of their work during 2019/2020 catastrophic fire season. The recipients (standing at rear) were: Greg Martin District Officer, Inspector Craig Warwick District Coordinator Bourke, Jesse Cochrane, Shakira Colling, Shane Jones Senior Deputy Captain, Travis Buckman Deputy Captain, Isaac Amos District Assistant, Bourke RFS, Gordon Hill, Inspector David Hagarty, District Officer Brewarrina and Superintendent Vaughn Elsworth (seated far right). Also pictured is Elizabeth Halfpenny District Administration Officer (centre standing) with guests Chief Superintendent Tim Butcher, Area Commander Western, Paul Seager and Cobar Shire Council’s general manager Peter Vlatko (second from right).
