Christmas Cheer competition was a cracker
This year’s winners of The Cobar Weekly/Aurelia Metals/Peak Gold Mines/Cobar Powerhouse Christmas Cheer Competition shared in $1,250 worth of Cobar Quids. First prize of $500 Cobar Quids went to Dale Evans whose display at 13 Morrison Street was a big hit with our staff, Girl Guides and the Lilliane Brady Village judges. Second prize went to Ashton Campbell’s display at 42 Bradley Street ($350) while third place went to Todd Manns’ lightshow at 3 Beersheba Court ($200). Highly Commended prizes of $100 Cobar Quids also went to Stacey and Ollie Tranter (9 Morrison Street) and Brenda Hausler and children Thomas and Charlotte Knight (22 Bathurst Street). The winners are pictured above collecting their prizes on Monday from Stean Barrie and Laura Barnes representing sponsors Aurelia Metals/Peak Gold Mines.
