Men’s Shed welcomes Aurelia Metals’ support

Thanks to a recent $4,400 donation from Aurelia Metals/Peak Gold Mines, the Copper City Men’s Shed has been able to purchase a large industrial air conditioner to cool one section of the men’s shed that did not having any air conditioning. Pictured above are some of the Men’s Shed members on Monday with Peak Gold Mines staff members Nikki Gilbert and Sara Waak. Men’s Shed coordinator Gordon Hill said Peak had been very generous donating a total of $17,622 towards various shed improvements including the purchase of a metal lathe, roller shutter cupboards, cordless power tools and personal protective equipment for shed members. “That’s in addition to the $12,000 Peak gave us when we built the shed extension in 2012,” Mr Hill said.
