2024 Cobar Show was one of the best yet!

Despite a dump of 52mm of rain on Friday, this year’s Cobar Show has been hailed as a resounding success. The committee scrambled and re-scheduled a number of events (including the CSA fireworks display) to Saturday and show-goers responded with a big crowd attending on Day 2. Pictured above are the 2024 Young Women of Cobar entrants with Girl Guides State Commissioner Emily Milton Smith; top right is poultry Grand Champion and Reserve Champion winner Dave Cleavesby with Poultry Steward Neville Fugar (who was this year awarded Cobar Show Society Life Membership); middle right are Main Pavilion Steward Simonne Mackay, with Colleen Boucher and Most Successful Exhibitor Eva Halliger; and bottom right is show committee member Sue Cox presenting the second Life Membership pin for 2024, to long serving Wool Pavilion Steward Michael Evans. See Pages 10, 11, 14 & 18 for more Cobar Show photos and results.
