Community raises over $100,000 for Spinksey
A charity fundraiser for Glenn Spinks (well known to many as ‘Spinksey’) was hosted by the COHOES Old Boys football club at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club on Saturday night. The event, to help out Glenn and his family with his ongoing medical expenses, raised over $100,000 through dinner ticket sales, auctions, raffles and generous donations. Pictured are Glenn’s sporting and work mates and family members including: (above) Gary Martin, Nik Kosef, Joel Thompson, Jim Hanlon and Warren ‘Rainbow’ Clark (both from Ivanhoe) and Michael Prince; (above right) Mathew ‘Nod’ Gordon, Nick de Bruin, Russell Gordon and Roger Mitchell; (and bottom right) Bill Fugar, Bryce Moore, Gary Martin, John Goonrey and Chris Condon. Photo at middle right is of the highest earning auction item, a Taylor Swift signed guitar, which sold for $8,900. See Page 2 for more information about the event.
