Note From Sharon Pearson I started my coaching career in 2003 with the intention of being a part-time coach supporting perhaps one or two clients with their journey. As I learned more and more about coaching, and came to respect its ethos and methodologies, my aspirations began to grow. Within the first year of embarking on my training I had worked with fifteen clients and loved every minute of it.

I became determined to be a great coach – the best I could be – and immersed myself in all types of coaching techniques, including public speaking, executive and business coaching. The more I learned the more I realized there was to learn!

My coaching practice built rapidly over the next few years, until I was working with upwards of thirty clients at any one time from all around the world.

The Coaching Institute came about because I wanted to share with new coaches what came to learn about what works to be a successful coach. In the beginning there were no accreditations – imagine the courage of the first groups of participants who enrolled with us!

Since then we have constantly improved the programs we offer, based on the same philosophy I adopted as I learn about coaching – there is always more to learn.

I encourage you to adopt an attitude and mindset of ‘keeping the loop of learning open’ – this means always knowing there is more to learn and master, even in the areas where we think we ‘know’. I believe the two most dangerous words in the English language are ‘I know’ – it cuts off whatever new breakthroughs may have been waiting for us next…

I trust you have enjoyed your Starter Kit and all of the exercises contained within it. We look forward to seeing you at your selected Intake session and to supporting you on your journey ahead. We also trust that as you learn to become a masterful coach you have the opportunities, as I have, to work with some truly amazing and inspirational people, to touch some lives, to make a difference and to learn even more about just how extraordinary we all are.
