SC NEW RESIDENT PRO CEDURES LICENSE PLATES AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION New residents have 45 days to transfer vehicle title and registration after establishing residency. Form 400, which can be found at your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or online at SCDMVOnline.com, will be required for the application. Before receiving your license plates, property taxes will need to be paid at a local county tax office.

SOUTH CAROLINA DRIVER’S LICENSE REGISTRATION New residents of South Carolina may use a valid out-of-state driver’s license for up to 90 days. Military personnel may operate on their home state license as long as it is valid. To obtain a South Carolina driver’s license, you must pass a vision test and present your Social Security card, two proofs of current physical address, proof of legal name change (if applicable) as well as proof of car insurance. VOTER REGISTRATION To register to vote in local, state, or federal elections, a new resident must be a US citizen, 18 years old by the date of the election, mentally competent, and not under conviction of a felony. You may register at the Voter Registration Office in your county, driver’s license office, or by mail. Positive proof of residence is needed. You must register to vote at least 30 days prior to an election. For more information, please visit SCVotes.org.

GAT E AC C E S S I N F OR M AT ION CAR DECALS Security gates at the entrance of each of The Cliffs communities require a car decal or guest pass registered by a property owner. Please contact the gatehouse to register a guest for a guest pass.

The Corporate Membership Department will issue the member car decals upon membership approval. Members should enter each club through the staffed Main Gatehouse.

Members may purchase a gate access card (or clicker) to easily enter the main gate or additional gates for their home club only. Please contact the Security Gatehouse for a form.

GUEST PRIVILEGES Guest privileges may be extended to guests of members subject to applicable guest fees, charges, rules and regulations, and policies established by the Club Operator from time to time. Although it is the intention of the Club to accommodate guests without inconvenience to the members, the Club reserves the right to limit the number of guests that accompany a member on any given day or over the course of a membership year. Guest privileges may be denied, withdrawn or revoked at any time for reasons considered sufficient by the Club Operator in its sole and absolute discretion.

1. A particular individual using the Club Facilities as a guest must be registered by the sponsoring member with the Club and must be accompanied by the member. Guest fees for use of the Club Facilities as determined from time to time by the Club Operator will be charged.

2. Guests will be entitled to use the Club Facilities only in accordance with the privileges of the category of membership of the sponsoring member upon payment of daily fees.

3. Guests must be accompanied by the sponsoring member when using the golf facility and by the sponsoring member during their use of any other Club Facilities, unless otherwise determined by the Club from time to time.

4. From time to time a member may sponsor a guest to utilize the Club’s facilities unaccompanied on a strictly limited basis at the sole discretion of the Club’s General Manager. Approval will be based upon Club activity levels and the availability of the amenities requested for use. The sponsoring member must authorize the use of their Club account to pay for all charges related to the unaccompanied guest and understand that they are responsible for their guests conduct while at the Club. A member may request the Club to host their unaccompanied guest for a round of golf or to make a dining reservation for lunch or dinner. Unaccompanied guests may not be granted open access to the Club facilities. It is the responsibility of the sponsoring member to ensure their guests are aware of and comply with the Club Policies and Rules and Regulations. Additional unaccompanied guest fees may apply as deemed appropriate by the Club Operator.

5. No guest may use the golf facilities more than six times in a calendar year, regardless of the sponsoring member unless otherwise determined by the Club from time to time. A guest may play more than six times in a single visit with the authorization of the Club General Manager.

6. Guest charges for any services will be charged against the sponsoring member’s club account. Guests may pay with a credit card for golf shop merchandise and guest greens fees, however.

7. The Club reserves the right to require identification by each guest.

8. Guest privileges may be limited by the Club, from time to time, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Club. Notice of such limitation will be given by the Club.

9. Member groups requiring special accommodation shall be scheduled during non-peak tee times.

10. The sponsoring member shall be responsible for all charges incurred by the guest. The sponsoring member is also responsible for the conduct of a guest while at the Club. If the manner, deportment or appearance of any guest is deemed to be unsatisfactory, the sponsoring member shall, at the request of the Club, cause such guest to leave the Club Facilities.
