OMOSEXUAL residents in Clare are still keeping their sexual orientation “hidden”, according to one Ennis drag queen. However, Ryan McNamara insists there less stigma attached to being gay in Ireland in 2019. McNamara has lived in Ennis since 2003 and is better known in the gay scene as Noah Monet, his drag persona. Earlier this month, he was one of 3,000 who marched the streets of Limerick for Pride. McNamara is confident in time, there will be Pride festivals in Clare. “Eventually it will happen.
