Clare climate strikers get global award PÁRAIC McMAHON

OUR climate-conscious students from Clare have been presented with the Amnesty International Ambassador of Conscience 2019 Award. Along with fellow Irish secondary school strikers for climate action, four Colaiste Muire students were acknowledged for their involvement with Fridays for Future

Ireland, School Strikes 4 Climate and Schools Climate Action Network. Eleanor Dagnell-Wise, Kate Harty, Áine Dempsey and Wiame Kanane travelled from Ennis to Dublin to accept the accolade. Tomorrow (Friday), Fridays for Future Clare will be holding a day of demonstration in Ennis beginning at 10am in front of the Daniel O’Connell monument and concluding at 4pm as they march to Áras Contae an Chláir.
