Daylight attacks in Ennis town PÁRAIC MCMAHON

NE man has been arrested following a “totally unprovoked” alleged attack of three people in Ennis on Monday evening. On Tuesday, Gardaí arrested a 25-year-old Czech national in connection with the daylight incidents. On Monday, a woman in her fifties was attacked at a fast food outlet at O’Connell St between 6-6:30pm. Shortly after, two man aged in their fifties and seventies were getting out of their cars when they were violently attacked. Both men were subsequently taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment where they stayed overnight having sustained non life threatening injuries. Superintendent Brendan McDonagh told
