UMR Group, specialist company in site revitalization and metals recycling are leading the talks to move a client on site. The Clare Echo previously reported that Aerogen were to create a manufacturing operation at the facility resulting in up to 100 jobs. Separately, talks are ongoing between Shannon Group and Amazon on the possibility of the e-commerce giant establishing a significant distribution facility in Clare. Amazon are assessing the potential of having their distribution facility located at Shannon Airport along with other infrastructure. The development would serve as “a lifeline” for the International Airport, Clare TD Cathal Crowe (FF) stated.
