Our organisational structure is now finalised. This is just the beginning. There is lots more to do to deliver on the Organisational Transformation Project. Phase 2 is all about implementing the new structure. 1. In implementing the new structure: a. We’ll be setting up a cross divisional working group that supports all staff to embrace our new culture and ways of working. b. The new ELT will review the objectives of their new divisions based on clear expectations. c. All managers will participate in a program to embed our new culture and ways of working. d. Staff will work with their managers to clarify the team’s role and work out the best way to deliver outcomes for the community. e. ELT and managers will make sure the teams are resourced in that delivers divisional objectives 2. Considering the future and currency of our Community Vision to ensure it meets community expectations. 3. Refresh our Capital City Strategic Plan to reflect the vision and make the most of new and emerging opportunities. 4. Reviewing our financial model, including our Long-term Financial Management Plan. 5. Review annual planning and annual budgeting process, including individual and team performance planning. In Phase 3 we’ll be take a deep dive into what we do and how we do it. We’ll need to: 6. Review the services that the City provides and interrogate their efficiency and relevance. 7. Review our ways of working including our processes and systems. Extensive consultation throughout this process have enabled us to deliver a high level structure that the majority of staff support and agree with. This is a great sign of our ability as an organisation to embrace change, and to let go of the past to move towards an exciting future. We are now organised in a way that will allow us to collaborate and bring multiple perspectives together to deliver solutions that inspire confidence and respond to the diverse needs of our community. As we move towards the future, I want to thank you for your support and continued feedback throughout this process. Thanks to your contribution, we are now better placed to ensure we can create a place that our residents and businesses are proud to call home.
