Montverde Academy (FL) Head Coach : Kevin Boyle 2021-22 Record: 23-4

Overview Last season, Head Coach Kevin Boyle led Montverde Academy to another Geico National Championship. With another title, that gives Montverde six national titles, the most by any school in the country. Montverde has reloaded their roster in hopes to return to the national championship game. With the additions of Chris Johnson, Cooper Flagg, Sean Stewart, Liam McNeeley, and many others, The Eagles once again have a super talented roster from top to bottom. The combination of guards, bigs, skill, and size, it will be hard to stop this team in any aspect of the game.

Player Spotlight One of the biggest names in high school basketball this spring and summer was Cooper Flagg, a 6’8 forward from the state of Maine that blew up on the Nike EYBL Circuit playing with Maine United. Flagg has the chance to be a special talent out of the 2025 class. Flagg has a very smooth style of play mixed with length and toughness. Flagg is a threat on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Flagg has proved that he can score from every level. Where he is the best is around the rim. He is athletic enough to finish over defenders. He is great at crashing the offensive glass and getting easy put back points. Defensively, Flagg can guard multiple positions and he plays very hard. Overall, Flagg with be a major piece of this year’s team on both sides of the ball.

Running the point guard for Montverde Academy this season is Chris Johnson. The Kansas commit has proved that he can be a lethal passer and scorer with the ball in his hands. In his first competitive games with the Eagles, Johnson proved that he can be a leader while also being a threat offensively. Johnson is great in the mid range area. He can make shots over defenders and make some great passes to teammates around the rim or on the perimeter. One of Johnson’s best attributes is his will to win. He does whatever it takes and will take on different roles as long as he can help his team win. He has taken on a leadership role on this team and will for sure get his teammates better.

Supporting Cast Montverde is loaded once again, and the supporting cast are also stars of this team.

Duke commit Sean Stewart will lead the front court for the eagles. Stewart may be the best rebounder in the country on both sides of the ball. He plays very aggressive and will average close to a double-double this year. 2024 5-star Liam McNeeley transfers into Montverde for his junior season and looks to help them win games. McNeeley is a big guard that can facilitate so well. Add some elite footwork and scoring skills and you have the big guard that any team would want. Returner Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn will bring some elite shooting off the bench and energy. Overall, Montverde Academy has a great chance to repeat as Geico national champions.

AZ Compass Prep (az) Head Coach : Ed Gibson 2021-22 Record: 24-5

Overview The past two seasons, AZ Compass Prep has been under Head Coach Ed Gipson. In those two seasons, the Dragons have reached the semi-final game in the Geico National’s tournament. With some big time additions and key returners, they will look to bring home a championship this season. Oregon commit Mookie Cook returns for his senior season looking to lead this new and improved team. Recent North Carolina commit Zayden High has transferred in for his senior season and will make an immediate impact. AZ Compass is loaded from top to bottom and with the team they have, they will for sure make a deep run and fight for a championship this season.

Player Spotlight Mookie Cook returns for his second season at AZ Compass Prep. The high flying forward brings energy and a winning mentality to this year's team. Cook has a few seasons under his belt playing at a super high level, this year he needs to be a leader for this team. Cook has outstanding athleticism and rebounding skills. With improved ball handling abilities, it allows Cook to attack the rim off the dribble and create opportunities for his teammates. Defending is also a great skill that Cook has. He can defend positions 1-4. He has quick feet that allow him to stay in front of all opponents and make them uncomfortable. Cook is set to have a monster senior season before heading to Oregon.

One of the newer members to this year's AZ Compass team is 4-Star North Carolina commit Zayden High. The 6’9 forward is coming off most likely the biggest stock rising grassroots season out of any player in the country. High can score the ball from all three levels at a very successful and efficient rate.

His outside shot gets better every time he steps on the floor. He is great at using the pump fake, getting his defender off the ground, and attacking the basket. Around the rim, High is also very good. He can use his body and strength to position himself to score on the block. Like Cook, High is very versatile on defense. He can guard multiple positions and cause turnovers. Before arriving at North Carolina, High will have a chance to impact winning at AZ Compass Prep.

Link academy (MO) Head Coach : Bill Armstrong 2021-22 Record: 34-2

Overview Last year was Link Academy’s first season as a national high school team, Link Academy reached the Geico National Championship, eventually losing to the reigning champions, Montverde Academy (FL).

Former Head Coach Rodney Perry, who is now an assistant coach at Kansas State, led the Lions with his leadership and outstanding overall coaching.

This year they will be led by Bill Armstrong, a former Division One assistant coach with tons of experience with winning and coaching at the highest level. Armstrong has a loaded squad for his first team. From Baylor commit Ja’Kobe Walter, to top five prospect out of the 2024 class Elliot Cadeau. The Lions have a very deep team and will look to return to the Geico National Championship this year.

Player Spotlight Ja’Kobe Walter will be the main source of offense for the Lions. The Baylor commit is one of the smoothest and best scorers in the country. Walter can get a bucket from anywhere on the floor and from any level. His dribble pull up is one of the best we have ever seen and he is very consistent with making that shot. Walter brings it on both ends. He is one of the best on ball defenders in the nation.

With the combination of offensive and defensive skills, Walter will have a very successful senior season.

Ja’Kobe Running the point guard on this year’s Link Academy team is Elliot Cadeau, the 5th ranked prospect in our 2024 rankings. Cadeau is the point guard that any team would want, luckily the Lions have him on their roster. Cadeau is 6’1 with all the tools. He is super explosive and can stop on a dime and hit contested jump shots. Passing the ball is his best asset. Cadeau is great at getting paint touches and finding open teammates around the rim and the perimeter. With the teammates he has, Cadeau could average 8+ assists this season.

Supporting Cast Link Academy’s roster is stacked from top to bottom.

2023 guard Ryan Forrest brings super athleticism and scoring abilities. The pair of 2025 guards, BJ DavisRay and Aaron Rowe will be so important to this year's team. Davis-Ray is a gifted scorer for his age. With his length and overall feel for the game, he will make an immediate impact this season. Rowe will do the same, being a smaller guard, Rowe is probably the best ball handler on the team. Coming off the bench I see Rowe making winning plays and handling the on ball duties for the Lions. Link Academy’s front court is loaded as well. 2024 forward Tyler McKinley is possibly the best rebounder in the country regardless of class. Cade Phillips, a 2023 Tennessee commit will also man the front court. Jacolb Cole is a lengthy forward who is coming off an injury and will return mid season. Corey Chest will be the motor of the big men. His overall will to rebound and play hard will help Link Academy in tough, close games.

Sunrise Christian (KS)

Head Coach : Luke barnwell 2021-22 Record: 25-2

Overview Head Coach Luke Barnwell has once again assembled an elite roster for Sunrise Christian going into the 2022-23 season. With the loss of Gradey Dick, now at Kansas, the Buffaloes will look for a new source of offense. Transferring in for his senior season is Matas Buzelis, a 6’9 small forward who had a stellar junior season and an even better grassroots season. Returning is Sunrise Christian’s point guard, Layden Blocker. The Arkansas commit will lead this year's team and bring tons of energy.

Also returning is Scotty Middleton, a 4-star Ohio State commit that brings playmaking abilities on both sides of the floor. This years team can make a deep run with the talent on the floor and the coaching staff on the bench.

Player Spotlight Matas Buzelis, the 7th ranked player in our 2023 rankings, transfers into Sunrise Christian for his senior season. The 6’9 SF is one of the most versatile and skilled players that we have seen on the high school stage. Buzelis can score the ball in so many different ways. He can put the ball on the floor and create shots for himself, he can put his head down and get to the rim, or he can make some great passes to his teammates. Buzelis does not need the ball in his hands to be effective. He can make plays on the glass with put backs and create second scoring opportunities for his team.

Buzelis can also play multiple positions and guard multiple positions which makes him so versatile.

Heading to the G-League Ignite team next year, Buzelis has the chance to help Sunrise Christian compete for a championship and also sharpen his skills before the pro level.

Arkansas commit Layden Blocker returns for his second season at Sunrise Christian and will be taking on a much bigger role. This season, Blocker will be looked at to be more of a leader and scorer. This grassroots season with Brad Beal Elite (MO), he continuously proved that he can score the ball at an elite level. With constant improvements in his jump shot making abilities, Blocker has tons of levels to his game. His speed with the ball in his hands is unmatched. He is great at rebounding for a guard.

His point guard skills have gotten much better. He is a lot more vocal and can control a team. Defensively he makes opponents very uncomfortable with his on ball defense. With his new role as the starting point guard, there will be more responsibilities for Blocker, but it is nothing he can't handle.

Supporting Cast Ohio State commit Scotty Middleton is another star on his Sunrise Christian team. Middleton is a length wing with tons of skill on the offensive end. He is great in the mid range area, using pump fakes to get his defender off his feet, take two dribbles, and knock down 15-foot jumpshots. 2025 5-star guard Mikel Brown will also have some on ball duties throughout the season. Brown is very shifty and can get a bucket whenever it is needed. Manning the paint will be John Bol, a 5-star prospect out of the 2024 class. Bol stands at 7’1 and is one of the best shot blockers in the country. This year, Sunrise Christian has the guards and bigs to complete an elite team and make another run at a championship.

Overview

Roselle Catholic is the best team in the state of New Jersey for this season in the high school basketball space. The Reigning TOC champions won the very last ever TOC tournament and are looking to keep their momentum rolling. Headlined by some big time players like UNC commit Simeon Wilcher, Duke commit Mckenzie Mgbako and Arizona State commit Akil Watson.

Mackenzie Mgbako is a 6’9 forward in the class of 2023 who is projected to be a first round draft pick in 2024. Mackenzie’s combination of skill, size and athleticism makes him a tough cover for anyone in high school basketball. At his size, he excels in the mid range off the dribble, using his height to shoot over defenders at an efficient rate. Mgbako also possesses good footwork and patience in the mid-post and is very agile. Simeon Wilcher is one of if not the best point guard in all of high school basketball. The 6’3 point guard is the leader for this team and he’s what makes them go. Attacking guard who really pushes the pace.

Supporting Cast

Akil Watson is a 6’8 four star forward committed to play for Arizona State next season.

Akil is a versatile forward who can do pretty much everything. When engaged, he can be very valuable defensively. 6’8 Forward Tarik Watson is a paint presence, high motor guy who consistently rebounds and finishes strong around the rim. Richard Briscoe is another 6’8 big for Roselle who holds a handful of offers from Manhattan, FIU, Nebraska and TCU. Christian Pierre-Louis is another key contributor for this team. He brings high energy and is great defensively.

IMG Academy (FL) Head Coach : Sean McAloon 2021-22 Record: 23-5 Overview

Losing a majority of their star players to graduation, IMG Academy has reloaded their roster. Adding a key member from each class, The Ascenders have some tough guards consisting of Jamier Jones, Bryson Tucker, Jacoi Hutchinson, and Blue Cain. An elite transfer that came in was 2024 5-star wing Amier Ali, who will make an immediate impact.

Another elite wing that transferred to IMG during the offseason is Jamie Kaiser, a Maryland commit who dominated the adidas 3SSB Circuit this spring and summer. With these new key additions and the return of their starting point guard Jacoi Hutchinson, IMG Academy will be young, but very tough to play.

Player Spotlight Jamie Kaiser blew up on the adidas 3SSB Circuit this summer playing with New World (DC).

Kaiser, who is committed to Maryland, is a strong and skilled wing that will make plays for IMG Academy in his first season. Kaiser has great shooting touch from beyond the arc. When attacking the rim he uses his strength to muscle his way through defenders and finish at the rim. Kaiser can be very successful in IMG’s system this season.

Jamier Jones, ranked the 5th best player in our 2025 rankings, brings super athleticism to this year’s IMG team. Jones is not just a high flyer though, he has some elite skills with the ball in his hands. Jones is crafty around the rim with his finishing when he is not dunking. He can finish with either hand and can put some finesse on the ball to show off some style. Jones will play major minutes this year for IMG, so look out for him to show off all of his skills.

Supporting Cast Amier Ali, the 39th ranked prospect in our 2024 rankings will be in his first season at IMG Academy. Ali is a long, athletic wing that scores the ball very efficiently. 2023 Georgia Tech commit Blue Cain is also a key addition for IMG. Cain is a smooth scoring guard who can pass. He will take on some of the on ball duties but can also play off the ball. Jacoi Hutchinson returns for his senior season at IMG Academy and will be the starting point guard. Hutchinson will bring leadership and experience to this young team. Bryson Tucker is ranked in our top 5 for the 2024 class and is easily one of the best players in the country. His combination of size and a polished game will help IMG win games down the stretch.

Overview Paul VI has been one of the best teams out of the state of Virginia for quite some time. Last year the team was led by Dug McDaniel, a now freshman at Michigan and playing under Head Coach Juwan Howard. This year the Panthers will have two new leaders, one being DeShawn Harris-Smith and the other being Darren Harris, both are top 50 players in their respective classes. This past grassroots season both played on Team Takeover (DC) on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where they reached the championship game. In the end they came up short, but this experience and game prepared HarrisSmith and Harris for this upcoming season.

Player Spotlight DeShawn Harris-Smith has emerged as one of the toughest and better skilled two-guards in the 2023 class. The Maryland commit had an impressive junior season with Paul VI, which carried over into the grassroots season with Team Takeover. Harris-Smith is one of the toughest guards in the class of 2023.

He bullies his way through defenders and is very good at finishing through contact. The lefty guard has continuously shown improvements in his three ball. When he is in the mid range area, Harris-Smith is lethal. He can get to his spots as he pleases and make difficult shots. This season he will be the leader of this team and be one of the main sources of offense.

Darren Harris is one the premier shooters in the country regardless of class. Playing up this grassroots season with Team Takeover. Harris can make shots from anywhere on the floor but is at his best beyond the three point arc. He has NBA range and is only a junior in high school. Harris can hit shots off the catch or off the dribble but is most lethal when his feet are set. Shooting is not the only part of Harris’ game that is noticeable. Harris can really pass the ball. Harris is great at making his teammates better, which will help Paul VI in the long run.

Duncanville (TX) Head Coach : David peavy 2021-22 Record: 34-2

Overview The Duncanville Panthers have been a powerhouse basketball program in the state of Texas for many years. This season, they look to repeat as state champs. Duncanville will be led by four year starter and now 5-star prospect Ron Holland. Over the course of his career at Duncanville his game has expanded and he will be a key piece for this year's team. With the addition of KJ Lewis this offseason, Duncanville has now added another threat on both sides of the ball. Duncanville also has tons of returners, which will help with team chemistry and overall feel for each other on the floor.

Player Spotlight Ron Holland, ranked as the 8th best prospect in our 2023 rankings, returns to Duncanville for his senior season. Holland has expanded his game so much since his freshman year, making him one of the top players in not only the state of Texas but the whole country. He has a motor that does not stop.

Offensively he is great when he is getting downhill and attacking the basket. He has added some range to his game as well. Holland is now a consistent three point threat, which just adds another level to his game. He is very explosive around the rim. Defensively, Holland can guard positions 1-4 and guard them very well. Overall, Holland is primed to have a monster senior season and hopefully lead them to another state championship.

4-Star Arizona commit KJ Lewis announced this offseason that he will be transferring to Duncanville for his senior season. Lewis is a pure scorer that can do so from any level of the floor. His strong suit is on the defensive side. When Lewis is locked in on defense, it is hard for defenders to score on him.

Offensively, Lewis can score consistently when attacking the rim. He can make shots from outside but is at his best when penetrating the paint and making plays for himself and others. Lewis will make his way into the starting line up for sure and make winning plays for the Panthers his senior season.

Overview Losing only 14 games since 2018-2019 the Corona Centennial HS program has been a national powerhouse. Led by coach Josh Giles and a group of elite players, the winning culture continues in Corona California. Coming off a California state title and only losing one game last season, the Huskies have their eyes set on another successful season. Look for five star guard Jared McCain and four star center Devin Williams to show why they’re one of the best duos in the country.

Player Spotlight Duke commit Jared McCain headlines this roster as their best player. Jared used this summer to really make his case as one of the best guards in the country with his impressive play throughout the EYBL circuit and contributing to a 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship as a starter. The 6’3 guard has a smooth pace and poise to his game with elite shot making ability. Very strong and more athletic than he looks, Jared is not only a scorer and an exceptional athlete but a good playmaker and on ball defender. As a junior McCain averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists along with All-League MVP and First Team All-League honors.

6’10 center Devin Williams is committed to play for the Bruins of UCLA next fall and is perfect 1-2 punch with Jared McCain. Williams has great footwork and runs the floor extremely well. Has the capability to stretch the floor with legitimate shooting ability and a good finisher around the rim, finishing with soft touch or with force and athleticism. His quickness and length make him a versatile defender.

Can switch onto smaller players on the perimeter, make long closeouts to alter jumpers or swatting layups in the paint from the help side. Devin and Jared set the tone for this team on both ends of the ball.

Corona Centennial (CA) Head Coach : Josh Giles 2021-22 Record: 33-1

Supporting Cast

The Huskies have a nice mixture of talented youth and experienced players on their roster. 6’8 Senior forward Aaron Mcbride is a key contributor to this team in multiple ways.

The LMU commit can shoot the long ball with confidence and is fearless when attacking the rim. A relentless rebounder and a ferocious finisher, Aaron brings a lot of energy and versatility to this team. 6’3 2024 G Eric Freeny is another key piece for this team. Bigger combo guard who plays downhill and has an advanced mid range and feel for the game.

Expect 2026 Isaiah Rogers to be thrown into the mix this season. Freshman guard already holds an offer from UC San Diego. Senior guard Ramsey Huff is a knockdown shooter who’s committed to Division II Cal State East Bay. Senior PG Bj Taylor contributes playmaking and ball handling skills to this talented team as well.

Imhotep Charter (PA) Head Coach : Andre Noble 2021-22 Record: 29-4

Supporting Cast 5-Star Kentucky commit Justin Edwards is ranked as the #1 player in the 2023 class according to our rankings, and Edwards is very deserving of that. Edwards has the body and game of an NBA player right now. Edwards had a very successful Nike EYBL season with Team Final (PA) where he averaged close to 20 PPG throughout the four sessions. He is very long and has such a smooth style of play, which makes him very hard to guard. His athleticism is off the charts. Edwards plays way above the rim.

Standing at 6’7, Edwards can put the ball on the floor and create shots. He is long enough to shoot over defenders and continuously makes tough, unbalanced shots look easy. Edwards is arguably one of the best scorers in the country. With Edwards leading Imhotep, expect them to be championship contenders.

Handling the point guard duties yet again for Imhotep Charter is Ahmad Nowell. Nowell made a name for himself this grassroots season, putting up some impressive numbers with Team Final (PA). Nowell is a true point guard that can score the ball when needed. His strong frame allows him to use his body to get to the rim and protect the ball from defenders when setting up the offense. Nowell has a tight handle, making it easy for him to get by defenders and make plays. With Nowell running the show, Imhotep Charter is in good hands.

Overview The top available prospect in the 2023 class, Isaiah Collier, looks to have a monster senior season at Wheeler. Wheeler is known for playing fast and playing hard and with the combination of guard and forward play, it will be hard to stop the Wildcats in transition. Playing in the state of Georgia, you have to bring your A-game every night, with Collier running the lead guard position and 4-Star USC commit Arrinten Page leading the front court, Wheeler will once again be state championship contenders.

Player Spotlight Isaiah Collier, a top five ranked player out of the class of 2023, is one of, if not the best point guard in the country. He shined this spring and summer playing with The Skill Factory (GA) on the Nike EYBL circuit. Collier can do it all, but passing the ball may be his best skill. He can set up any teammate to score and do it with some flash. He is great at getting defenders to focus on him, then find teammates cutting to the rim. Scoring the basketball comes natural to Collier, as he can score the ball in bunches from multiple levels. Besides being an elite passer and scorer, Collier has a very high basketball IQ and plays the game the right way. He will once again be the leader of this Wheeler team.

In the last year, Arrinten Page has emerged as one of the best big men in the country. Committing to USC recently, Page looks to improve his game even more in his senior season at Wheeler. He is not your traditional post player, as he can score the ball differently than most forwards and centers in the country. Page can stretch the floor with his shot making abilities. When he is in the post, he is very effective as well. He can finish over either shoulder and has some elite footwork. Overall for Wheeler to be successful, they need Page to dominate the glass and score the ball at an efficient rate, both areas that he can do at an elite level.

Prolific Prep (CA) Head Coach : Ryan Bernardi 2021-22 Record: 26-7

Overview With a new head coach, Prolific Prep is looking to make a deep run for the Geico National Championship. Ryan Bernardi will be leading this year's team. Bernardi comes from The Burlington School in North Carolina where he was very successful. In his first year, Bernardi has the team to repeat or even go further than last year. Prolific Prep has one of the best backcourts in the nation with Xavier commit Trey Green and Auburn commit Aden Holloway. With some solid big men and guys that will play their role. Prolific Prep will be a team to watch this year.

Player Spotlight The combination of Trey Green and Aden Holloway will be ranked as one of the best backcourts that Prolific Prep has ever had. Green, a commit to Sean Miller and Xavier, is coming off a Peach Jam Championship, where he led MOKAN Elite (MO) in points and assists. Green will carry his success over to the high school season. Green is a fluid scorer that can distribute the ball. He makes the game easy for himself and others. Green’s backcourt partner, Aden Holloway, brings his own style of play to this year's team. Holloway is headed to Auburn after his senior season, and with the schedule Prolific Prep has, he will be more than prepared. Holloway is a very crafty guard with some of the best ball handling abilities in the country. His ability to get by defenders and finish at the rim is almost unstoppable. Green will play more on the ball and Holloway will play more off the ball. Both guards have the abilities to switch and be dominant from either the point guard or shooting guard spot.

Supporting Cast Yves Missi and Paul McNeil will play major roles this year for Prolific Prep. Missi, a 6’10 forward, will man the frontcourt. His overall presence and elite footwork will help Prolific Prep when battles in the paint. Missi is an elite rebounder on both ends of the floor, which will give himself and his teammates extra opportunities to score. Paul McNeil is the 2-3 that will help this team win games. McNeil does not need the ball in his hands to contribute to winning. He is an elite defender. When the ball is in his hands, McNeil can make plays. He is very long and athletic which helps him when attacking the basket. He has a consistent jump shot from the outside as well. Prolific Prep has a loaded roster, with a new head coach and some new faces on the team, I believe this team has the chance to be special yet again.

Overview Oak Hill has been a perennial powerhouse for well over a decade now and they will look to continue their run of dominance this season. Last year was another successful season as they finished 32-8 and lost their final game at the GEICO Nationals to another powerhouse, Link Academy (MO). This year will be Coach Yerrick Stoneman’s first season as the head coach, but he has over a decade of experience as an assistant coach at Oak Hill. This year’s team is not as highly regarded as some of the teams in recent years but that will not deter them from their ultimate goal.

Player Spotlight Dantae Russo-Nance is a 6 '3 do-it-all point guard from New Zealand. On the defensive end, he is a stout on ball defender with active hands. He comes up with steals on the regular and forces turnovers from inexperienced guard play. On the offensive end, Dantae is a dynamic downhill threat. He does a great job of turning the corner off dribble hand-offs and high pick and roll situations. He has a quick release from behind the arc and he can shoot it efficiently on step backs and hesi-pull ups.

Supporting Cast Per usual, the Warriors are not carried by only one player. 6’7 Junior, Micah Robinson, and 6’5 Junior, AJ Swinton, will provide plenty of scoring, defense, and versatility on the wing. Sophomore guard, Kaden Magwood, is a natural scorer who will look to develop the rest of his game. His development may be the X-factor in determining this team’s ceiling. The Warriors will also depend on Josh Holloway to be an effective shooter and opportunistic scorer. 6 '9 Senior, Drayton Jones, and the 6' 11 Junior from New Zealand, Brunson Schmidt-Uili, will be counted on to attack the glass, protect the paint, and space the floor on offense.

SoCal Academy (CA) Head Coach : Julius Von Hanzlik 2021-22 Record: 24-4

Overview Last season, SoCal Academy was one of the more exciting and successful teams in the country. This season they have reloaded with some top talent from different states and look to have an even better record and outcome than last year. With newcomers, Jahseem Felton, Garvey Dual, and Drew Fielder, the Rams have the combination of guards and bigs to make them hard to match up with. Head coach Julius V, who trains many NBA players, has developed his big men to play more on the outside, making it hard for defenses to make adjustments. This year, SoCal Academy will play their toughest schedule to date.

Player Spotlight 2023 5-Star AJ Johnson announced last week that he will be attending SoCal Academy (CA) for the 2022-23 season, which gives them an all around guard that can do it all. The little brother of NBA player Jalen Green, Johnson has some of the same skills as Green but plays a different way. His long arms allow him to finisher over all defenders. On defense his length helps him as well, getting his hands on balls and creating turnovers. Johnson is great with the ball in his hands, making some eye-opening plays for himself and his teammates. With the addition of Johnson, expect SoCal Academy to be a powerhouse this high school season.

Garwey Dual exploded onto the scene this spring and summer play with George Hill-All Indy (IN). The 6’5 SG is one of the most impressive prospects in the country on both sides of the ball. With his length he makes plays on offense. He has a very tight handle and can maneuver through defenses and make plays for others. The Providence commit is going to make a major impact for SoCal Academy and at Providence his freshman season Supporting Cast Another Providence commit on this year’s SoCal Academy team is Drew Fielder. Fielder is a 6’9 center who has all the tools that a center should have. He moves very well for his size and can finish with either hands around the basket. Fielder plays super physical and has a motor that does not stop.

He is super explosive and is great in pick and roll play, as he sets solid screens and rolls to the basket to put himself in position to play. With the front court of Fielder and Miranda, SoCal Academy has the chance to win the rebounding war every game.

Camden (NJ) 2021-22 Record: 31-3

Overview The Camden Panthers have one of the most talented duos in high school basketball. Both top-ten prospects in the 2023 class, DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw look to lead Camden to yet another successful season. The duo of Wagner and Bradshaw is almost unstoppable. Their chemistry is off the charts. They play with each other all year round, during the high school season, then on the Nike EYBL circuit together with the NJ Scholars. If Camden wants to be successful, Wagner and Bradshaw need to bring it every night.

Player Spotlight DJ Wagner, the 2nd ranked prospect in our 2023 rankings, will be the main source of offense and primary ball handler for this year's Camden Panthers. Wagner is one of the most skilled guards in the entire country. His game is very polished for his age. Wagner is a great finisher around the rim and can break any defender down that is in front of him. Wagner is also a great passer. He puts most of his teammates in scoring positions. In pick and roll play, Wagner is an expert. He knows when to drop it to his big man rolling to the rim, or when to stop on a dime and hit some tough shots in the mid range area.

For Camden to be successful this year, Wagner will need to be not only a scoring threat, but a leader.

Recent Kentucky commit Aaron Bradshaw will handle the front court duties for Camden once again.

The 7’0 center is a monster on the glass, getting the majority of the rebounds for the Panthers. He has soft touch around the rim, allowing him to rack up points in every contest. Bradshaw plays with tons of intensity, making it hard for opponents to match up with him and win the rebounding war. Bradshaw is also easily one of the best shot blockers in the country. When opponents get into the lane they have to try and make shots overt Bradshaw, which usually does not happen. Bradshaw will be a major piece for Camden this season helping them win a state championship.

Bishop Gorman (NV) Head Coach : grant rice 2021-22 Record: 30-1

Supporting Cast John Mobley Jr, one of the best shooters in the country regardless of class, returns to Bishop Gorman for his junior season. Mobley has NBA range and can make contested shots from anywhere on the floor.

He can play off or on the ball and make shots off the dribble or off the catch. His elite ball handling skills make it easy for him to create space from defenders and make shots. Look out for Mobley to perhaps lead the country in 3-point percentage.

Jase Richardson, son of NBA legend Jason Richardson, also returns to Bishop Gorman for his junior year. Just like his father, Richardson is a high flier, putting down some eye opening dunks that makes the crowd go crazy. Richardson is not just a dunker though, there is real skill there. He is a smooth lefty guard that plays with finesse. He can finish through contact or with some craft. His jump shot continues to show improvements, which just adds another level to his game. For Bishop Gorman to be successful this season, Richardson needs to bring it every game.

Player Spotlight

Stephon Castle is an oversized point guard with extreme upside. At 6’6, he can usually play over the top of his defender as a playmaker and as a scorer. The future UConn Husky has great vision to find his teammates for alley-oops, kick outs for threes, and dump offs for easy buckets under the rim. He is a precision passer, and he has a crafty handle to lure help defenders away from their assignment and out of position. Stephon also possesses a strong three ball that opens the floor for him to attack closeouts without having elite speed. He plays at his pace, and he can change speeds with the best of them. He has shown the ability to post up smaller guards and operate as a post-facilitator in the half court.

Marquavious Brown, a future Georgia State Panther, is a two-way star who affects all aspects of the game. He is a fluid athlete, and his athleticism is present in each part of his game. His agility is evident in his shifty handle and on-ball defensive pressure. His bounce is showcased in his ability to finish oops and completely erase jump shots and layups. He has the pure speed to run past backpedaling defenders in transition. And he has the footwork and core strength to be an elite mid-range scorer. Marquavious has a great basketball feel and instincts as well. He is a playmaker and shows leadership qualities in times of adversity on the court.

Player Spotlight

Jamari Phillips, BJ Davis and Prince Oseya will be the three-headed monster for the Crusaders this upcoming season. Coming off of a tough loss to Centennial last season in the playoffs, this group will look to avenge that loss and make a run at a state title this season. Davis, a San Diego State commit, is a shifty guard who can get by his defender at will and make plays. He has a smooth jumper from midrange and can make tough, contested shots. He can also get out in transition and use his athleticism at the rim. Phillips, the lone underclassman of the group, is more of a smooth, compact guard who uses his pull up jumper to create easy offense for himself. He has more of a scoring mentality, but has a good enough feel for the game to get his teammates involved. He’s an underrated athlete as well. Prince Oseya will be the anchor in the middle for the Crusaders. Standing at 6’10 with a healthy wingspan, Oseya is active on both ends of the floor and uses his elite mobility to impact the game.

CHRIST THE KING (NY) Head Coach : Joseph Arbitello

Overview Christ The King has a rich history of producing professional basketball players, including Chamique Holdsclaw, Sue Bird, Jayson Williams, and Lamar Odom. The Royals will be playing a National schedule this season and will begin its season at the Hall of Fame London Showcase representing the state of New York. They have big names Brandon Gardner committed to St. John’s University and Brandon Williams committed to UCLA leading the way this season. They also play Sierra Canyon this season December 12th which will be a must see game as we get the second coming of the James and Anthony legacy and their sons square off as their parents once did.

Player Spotlight The Royals front court will be very athletic and skilled this season. Starting with Brandon Gardner who will be going to St. John’s next year, is a very versatile forward. He can score on all three levels, Gardner can create off the bounce and has extended his range to the three point line now. A very versatile defender as well, with his high motor he looks to guard the other team's best player while being able to defend positions one through five. His front court teammate Brandon Williams will be a major piece to Christ the King this season. Gardner and Williams were also supposed to be teammates at St. Johns and stay home but Williams has chosen UCLA as his next destination. Williams at his statue is still just sixteen years old and has a very high upside to his game. He is able to get into the lane and uses his size to finish through contact. Just like Gardner he can defend multiple positions one through five. He also rebounds at a high rate and can push the ball on the break as a big forward.

Supporting Cast Kiyan Anthony will be a major contributor to this Royals team. Anthony has stretched to 6-5 now. He is a three level scorer and Carl can score effectively off the catch and dribble. He is also an underrated passer for his position. Look for him to improve defensively and get faster laterally and Anthony can be one of the next superstars out of New York. Only in the class of 2025 so his best basketball is definitely in front of him. Do not be surprised if Anthony is a big X- factor over the season as the high school basketball season gets started. He has a lot to live up to having the Anthony last name in New York.

Simeon (IL) Head Coach : Robert Smith 2021-22 Record: 29-7

Overview One of the most storied basketball programs in the state of Illinois, Simeon captured fourth place in Class 3A a season ago. In May, head coach Robert Smith announced that this will be his final season coaching the program and former Simeon standout Tim Flowers (teammate of Derrick Rose) will take over once he steps down. Starting the season as most likely the top ranked team in the state, Simeon will again be loaded with Division I talent this year. They will try to not only bring home their first state title since 2013, but look to make some noise on the national stage as well.

Player Spotlight The Wolverines will be led by seniors Miles Rubin, a Loyola commit and point guard Jalen Griffith.

Rubin is a 6’8 energetic power forward. Rubin has emerged onto the scene as a defensive anchor. He’s a smart, versatile defender and an aggressive rebounder that can also finish on the inside. Griffith is a 5’10 lead guard that will run the show for Coach Smith and the Wolverines. A four-year varsity contributor, Griffith is no stranger to the scene and will be handed the keys for Simeon. He’s quick and crafty with the ball in his hands and is a solid shooter from deep. With his elite level of playmaking and passing abilities, he should be able to bring out the best in the players around him.

Supporting Cast Hayden Assemian is one of the sleepers in the class of 2025 especially in South Carolina. Last travel ball season with Upward Stars Assemian averaged 13.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Assemian dominates around the basket on both ends of the floor. He is also adding more to his jump shot, as he is shooting over 70 percent from the floor early on in his career. From Baton-Rouge to Greenville, Senior Tyler Ringgold will be a big piece to how this team performs this year. Tyler holds offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Clemson, Houston & many more. Ringgold is a very athletic wing that blocks shots effortlessly, he also cleans up a lot of shots off the rim and is always looking for a poster dunk. This will be a very explosive team and exciting team to watch this year.

Wasatch Academy (UT) Head Coach : Paul Peterson 2021-22 Record: 14-10

Overview Established in 1912, Wasatch Academy Basketball is one of the oldest high school basketball programs in the nation. In 2020, Paul Peterson continued the Wasatch Academy Basketball legacy after serving as David Evan’s Associate Head Coach for two of the most successful seasons in the program’s 109-year history, he now is the head coach at Wasatch Academy. This will be their second year participating in the competitive NIBC conference. They went 12-2 in non conference play, but looking to improve their 2-8 conference play record. Behind Kansas State commit Rj Jones and 5-star sophmore Isiah Harwell as they look to take the next step on the national stage.

Player Spotlight Rj Jones, a Kansas State commit will be the main ball handler and floor general for this Wasatch Tigers team. Well known for his big shot taking ability, there seems to be no stage too big for Jones.

Coming off a big travel ball season with JL3 he is looking to keep that momentum rolling in the high school season. Just as he will be brought to Kansas State to be an aggressive scorer, Wasatch is looking for the same from him this season. Another big transfer in Isiah Harwell will be a big addition to this Wasatch Academy team and is blowing up in the 2025 class. He has already been offered or has major interest from schools such as UNC, Duke, Kansas, and many more. Many people already believe Harwell is already the best player out of the state of Idaho, also he was all state last season for Century High School. As a freshman, Harwell averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block per game. Harwell has great size as a shooting guard/wing and a really good athlete. He excels at getting to the rim off the bounce, but can shoot the ball from all three levels.

Supporting Cast Collin Murray-Boyles, Columbia native and also University of South Carolina commit, has also transferred into Wasatch. Murray-Boyles is an excellent finisher around the basket due to his strength and athleticism. Murray-Boyles has a solid elbow jumper and, at times, can knock down the 3. He flashes the ability to put the ball on the floor and, when driving lanes present themselves, he can get to the basket. Osiris Grady will be another big transfer for Wasatch. The 6’8 forward is a very springy and electrifying player with a good motor. He is also an active rebounder, and he is an instinctive defender, and he is most comfortable running in transition and playing as a rim runner or an off-ball cutter. He is being recruited hard by Arkansas, California, and University of Southern Cal.

La Lumiere (IN) Head Coach : Patrick Holmes 2021-22 Record: 21-5

Overview

One of the prestigious programs in Indiana, a powerhouse out of the NIBC conference. They went 6-4 in the first year of the conference, but will look a lot different this season from last. Losing top scorers Aden Holloway and Jeremy Fears, while also graduating JJ Starling and Ryan Maybrey. They rebound majorly by adding guards Tyler “Tybo” Bailey and Trenton Waters, wing Kaleb Glenn, and big man Gus “Bus” Yalden. This team has a nice mixture of size and talent across the board.

Player Spotlight

Gus Yalden, the Winsconsin commit, will be the leader for this year's team. Gus reminds you so much of Jokic how he is crafty around and getting to the rim.

Utilizes his size in the post but is a very underrated ball handler and passer as well.

He also has a solid three point shot. Kaleb Glenn, the Louisville commit, will also be a major piece to La Lumieres strong front court. Glenn is a strong forward with a frame that allows him to play bigger than his listed height. He is able to rip through and face up from the perimeter and absorbs contact going to the rim finishing well.

Supporting Cast

Tyler Bailey will be a main ball handler this season. A big combo guard that gets paint touches at will and finishes with both hands. Bailey makes good reads with the ball and can shoot the three ball at a good rate. Look for him to be an X factor to La Lumieres offense this season. Trenton Walters will be a good addition to the backcourt this season. A very shifty floor general that will be a big facilitator for this team.

Columbus (FL) Head Coach : Matthew Griffin 2021-22 Record: 29-2 Player Spotlight The Boozer twins have become household names nationally for the class of 2025, both Cameron and Cayden.

Coming off winning Peach Jam 15U with their Nightrydas EYBL team. Cameron Boozer ranked number one in the class of 2025 is a star in the making and looking to build off last year. Last season in 31 games he averaged 18.9 points, 4 assists, 10.9 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game. He rebounds at a high rate and uses his length to contest shots at the rim, while also guarding multiple positions.

Cameron currently holds offers from Duke, Florida State, Miami, and Michigan.

His twin brother Cayden is a strong combo guard who can dictate the game's pace. He is a good on ball defender as well. Last season in 30 games he averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks. He also currently holds Duke, Florida State, and Miami.

CITY REAPERS OVERTIME ELITE Head Coach : DAVE LEITAO 2021-22 Record: 17-6 Overview

Coach Leitao won the OTE inaugural championship last season. He brings fourteen years of college experience to his City Reapers team. Leitao had Ausar Thompson last season who was his premier player.

This season Amen Thompson joins Ausar on probably the most athletic team in OTE. They are the favorite to repeat as champions.

Player Spotlight

Amen and Ausar will be the premier players on this City Reapers team. Both very athletic wings who can kill you off the bounce and catch. Ausar is more of the defensive minded twin and can guard positions one through four. Ausar is really good at blocking shots from the help side as well. Amen is the projected top ten pick and is the more offensive minded twin. He makes things happen when the ball is in his hand, whether it is off the bounce, catch, or in transition. Like Ausar is a superb athlete not just in the class of 2023 but in the world. Has to get better in the half court when running offense but is a walking triple double every time he touches the floor.

Supporting Cast

The City Reapers are very athletic and versatile, with Ryan Bewley who brings energy every time he is on the floor. A really good rebounder on both sides of the ball as well. Bewley and Malik Bowman are both big wings / forwards who can guard multiple positions on the floor and make life hard for opposing teams running offense. Bowman can also space the floor with his three point shot which he worked on all summer. Somto Cyril may have been one of the most underrated pickups in the league. The 2024 big man is an athletic freak who dunks anything and attempts to dunk on you every single play. Top 50 in his class he is an elite shot blocker and finisher. Must box him out or he controls the glass every single play. Eli Ellis is the youngest player in the league in the class of 2025 and is the sharpshooter for City Reapers.

High leaves shooter off the catch or bounce he hurts you every single time you do not contest him shooting the ball. Will be an adjustment this season having the ball in his hands less but I do not see that hurting him as he has already in three games recorded a triple double.

COLD HEARTS OVERTIME ELITE Head Coach : Ryan Gomes 2021-22 Record: 19-4

Overview In their second season Coach Gomes brings NBA experience to his team. He also may have one of the most talented teams in the league with a mix of length and skill. 3-0 early into the season and they just acquired Devontes Cobbs, Nasir Cunningham, and Robert Dillingham. To add to Matt Bewley, Bryce Griggs and more. Look for them to be one of the sleepers in OTE this season Player Spotlight Robert Dillingham may have just joined the Cold Hearts, but regardless is a generational talent at the guard position and may be the best scorer in the Overtime Elite league. He is super shifty and is great at creating separation off the bounce. You then pair him with veteran guard Bryce Griggs, who is a big body guard that can play on or off the ball. He shoots the three ball at a very high clip, he is also draft eligible after this season. You also have Matt Bewley who is also draft eligible after this season. He is the energy of the team and brings major energy every play he is on the floor. A very good rebounder as well and punishes teams on the offensive glass if you do not box him out.

Supporting Cast The Cold Hearts also has wing Nassir Cunningham who is top five in the class of 2024. He is still adjusting to the OTE league but with his size and athleticism Cunningham causes havoc in transition for teams. Bryson Tiller is the second youngest player in OTE and is top five in the class of 2025. A very long forward or can rebound and push it on the break. Tiller, Tyler Smith, and Jayden Williams adds size and length depth that many teams do not have. They all can shoot the three ball while dominating inside and running the floor at a high level. Of course they have Trey “Shoetime” Parker who draws a crowd every game. He can erupt and play anytime and is a must watch this season.

YNG DREAMERZ OVERTIME ELITE Head Coach : Ryan Gomes 2021-22 Record: 19-4

Overview Coach Fanning has the best record from all three coaches in the OTE league and was one game from winning the championship last season. Fanning has experienced coaching overseas in Spain, New Zealand, and Israel. The Dreamers may have the most balanced roster in the league. I think many teams have counted them out early but they have a roster to make it the long haul.

Player Spotlight The Dreamers have a very athletic backcourt in Jazian Gortman and Kanaan Carlyle. Jazian Gortman who will be draft eligible is a very springy guard with burst off the bounce. He also has the ability to create tempo off demand and to stop and change directions on the dime. He is a three level scorer and Dreamers will need him to make shots and make reads down the stretch. Carlyle will be a good price beside Gortman as he is able to play off the ball and still be effective and efficient on both ends of the floor. Carlyle is also a Stanford basketball commit for the class of 2023. He is a warrior on the floor and very underrated passers as he often gets his teammates involved throughout the game.

Supporting Cast Jalen Lewis made history being the highest rated recruit to commit and join OTE. Lewis, while still trying to get comfortable, has rare size, athleticism, good hands and good ball skills that helps him impact the floor every single play. To add to Lewis' size, the Dreamers have Jahzare Jackson at 6-11 300 pounds he creates havoc on the block. Big Jah led the league in TS% (66.4%), and was second in league in 2PT% (63.8%). He played at IMG Academy the last two seasons, and has played for the North Coast Blue Chips with Bronny James on the AAU circuit. Nate Missia-Dio is one of the most interesting players in the league mainly because of his physique. Standing at 6-9 he also has a 7-5 wingspan. With this length he often guards and switches one through five defensively. His length also allows him to play bigger than his size.

Combine Academy (NC) Head Coach : Michael Wright 2021-22 Record: 25-5

Overview In his first season as the head coach at Combine Academy, Michael Wright has the players and the staff to be very successful. 5-star G/F Trentyn Flowers announced his transfer to Combine Academy a few months ago. With his addition, it adds more high level play and skill to this year's team. Silas Demary will be the main ball handler for the Goats, and his skill set and will to win will help this team tremendously this season. Overall, Combine Academy has a solid roster that can compete with most teams in the country. Their schedule speaks for itself, as they have one of the more tougher schedules in the country.

Player Spotlight Trentyn Flowers, the 9th ranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our rankings, will be in his first season at Combine Academy. Transferring in from Sierra Canyon (CA), Flowers brings so much to the table for this year's team. Standing at 6’8, Flowers has the skills of a guard. He will have the chance to play off and on the ball this year. What will make Flowers successful this season is his versatility. He can do it all on the floor. With continuous improvements in his jumpshot, Flowers will be hard to stop in his junior season.

Silas Demary had a stock rising spring and summer with Team Curry and he looks to carry his success over to the high school season. Demary is a tough, strong guard who can with or without the ball in his hands. He is also a high level defender, on and off the ball. He is very vocal defensively and gets his hands on a lot of balls. Demary will make plays on both sides of the ball for Combine Academy (NC) this year, giving them a boost and making winning plays.

Supporting Cast A new name has been circling in the world of basketball recruitment lately, and his name is Rakease Passmore. Passmore is a 6’5 guard who has blown up during the live period of the high school season.

Passmore is one of the more athletic members to this year’s Combine Academy team. The mixture of athleticism and improving skills will make Passmore a dominant part of this year’s Combine Academy team.

Prestonwood Christian (TX) Head Coach : Jeff Clarkson 2021-22 Record: 23-7

Player Spotlight 2025 5-Star Francis Chukwudebelu is not only one of the top prospects in his class but in the country. Standing at 6 '10, Chuwudebelu is the modern day Chris Bosh. He can make shots from the outside at a high percentage. His shot is very smooth and looks good. Chuwudebelu is also a force on the inside. He can finish over either shoulder and is an elite rebounder. Being the size that he is, he moves and scores the ball like a guard. 2024 4-star Jalen Shelley has emerged as not only one of the best players in Texas, but the best in the country. The 6’7 small forward is very versatile. Shelley is great at getting downhill, getting his defender on his hip, and making the right reads to score the basketball. The lefty guard has a smooth stroke and makes some tough mid range shots. Defensively, he can guard positions 1-4 at an elite level. Shelley will be a major asset to this year's Prestonwood Christian team.

Overview This season, Word of God will play in Overtime Elite’s league, consisting of them, Our Saviour Lutheran, and the three OTE teams. With the team they have this year, the Holy Rams have a chance to win the new founded league in its first season. With returning star Freddie Dilione, a Tennessee commit, will once again be the main source of offense for this year's team. The Rams have a loaded roster from top to bottom, and with size, skill, and coaching, they will be one of the toughest teams to beat in the country.

Player Spotlight Freddie Dilione has emerged as one of the best scorers in the 2023 class. He has been all along, but it took some time for the people to realize. He has the style of play of a pro. Dilione is a 6’4 combo guard that can score the basketball from all three levels. He had some off the chart type of numbers last season, averaging well over 20 PPG. Scoring is not the only aspect of the game that Dillione is elite at.

For a guard, he might be one of the best rebounders in the country. Dillione had countless doubledouble’s last season with points and rebounds. There isn't a flaw in his offensive game. He can score with his back turned towards the basket or facing up, break you down off the dribble and get to the rim, or knock down a three with his feet set. Expect Dillion to once again have a big season for Word of God. Supporting Cast The supporting cast for Word of God is filled with stars. Guys like Isaiah Coleman, Mayar Wol, and Mehki Grant help fill out this year's roster. Coleman is a 6’5 shooting guard committed to the College of Charleston who can score offensively and guard positions 1-4. Mayar Wol will make a huge impact for this team this season. Wol is a 6’8 forward that moves and plays like a guard. With the combination of size, speed, and skill, Word of God will look to take over the OTE league and show that they are one of the top teams in the nation.

Sierra Canyon (CA) Head Coach : Andre Chevalier 2021-22 Record: 26-5

Overview Sierra Canyon will enter another year as one of the most talented teams in the nation. They saw their season come to an end in the CIF State Open Division semifinals in a blowout loss to Centennial a year ago. After losing a top ten player in the 2022 class in Amari Bailey, replacing his production will not be easy. The Trail Blazers will be expecting a major leap from 2023 guard Bronny James, who is the 40th ranked prospect in our rankings. Five-star guard combo guard Isaiah Elohim (6th in our rankings) will play a major role for them and could very well be their best player. Duncanville transfer Ashton Hardaway is a versatile forward and will give them a presence on both the perimeter and interior.

Player Spotlight As a senior, Bronny James will look to finally have his true breakout year for Sierra Canyon. For the first time in his high school career with Sierra Canyon, he will be asked to have primary ball handling duties. He seemed to take strides over the circuit season into being a much more aggressive weapon on the offensive end. Bronny is a 6’3 combo guard that does it all to contribute to winning. He is a legit shooter who has made improvements as a shot creator. He is extremely unselfish – and at times can be a bit too unselfish. Bronny has a clear feel for the game and is a great passer. Bronny’s athleticism development has also been a major part of his growth as a player over the last year. He is also a highlevel defender who always competes on this end.

Isaiah Elohim is one of the best players in all of the 2024 class. Elohim is a pure scorer. He does most of his work in the mid range area, using his size at 6’5 and strength to get to his spots and elevate over defenders and knock down shots. He also is great around the basket and has a ton of variety of finishes he can go to in order to convert at the rim. His numbers took a hit last year after the transfer to Sierra Canyon, but the departure of Bailey will open up a lot of opportunities for Elohim to put up big numbers.

Supporting Cast Ashton Hardaway should be one of the biggest impact transfers in the country. Hardaway is a 6’7 power forward who is a sniper from the three-point line. He’s one of the best shooters in the entire class, but with his size, he will be able to do much more for the Trail Blazers. 2023 power forward Jimmy Oladokun and guard Dylan Metoyer will also be consistent contributors. 2025 Bryce James and 2024 Justin Pippen could also be in the mix.

Player Spotlight A top five prospect out of the class of 2024, Ian Jackson is set to have a monster junior season for Cardinal Hayes. Jackson is one of the better talents in the country and has the game of a pro already.

Jackson has freakish athleticism when attacking the rim. He can throw down monstrous dunks or finish with finesse around defenders. When the ball is in his hands, he can create his own shots and make shots over defenders. Overall, Jackson is a winner and will lead Cardinal Hayes to another winning season.

Elijah Moore has emerged as a high major player in the 2023 class. Moore is an elite shooter and his name started to buzz this summer on the adidas 3SSB circuit playing with the Wiz Kids (NY). Moore currently has offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Syracuse, UConn, and many others. Shooting the ball is his best asset, but Moore is so much more than just a shooter. Playing alongside Jackson, this could be one of the best backcourts in the nation.

Cathedral (IN) Head Coach : Jason Delaney 2021-22 Record: 26-6 Player Spotlight

Xavier Booker blew up this spring and summer playing with George Hill-All Indy, eventually landing him as a top five prospect across all ranking services for the 2023 class. Booker is a 6’11 dual forward that can put the ball on the floor.

He is a matchup nightmare for anyone trying to defend him. His length allows to be a force on both sides of the ball.

Offensively, he can score with either hand and can score the ball from all three levels. Defensviley he is a shot blocking machine. Booker is very versatile, expect him to make even more strides in his game before heading to Michigan State for his freshman season.

Player Spotlight 6’11 forward Aiden Sherrell is a 4 star forward in the class of 2024 and is an absolute monster.

Sherrell is an athletic forward who has the agility to finish well with acrobatic and powerful finishes. Good looking catch and shoot jumper and moves with fluidity. His mobility and length allows him to be a solid defender on the perimeter and good at help side rim protection. Sherrell currently holds high major offers from programs like Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, Indiana, Texas Tech, Memphis, UNLV, UGA, LSU and more. 5 Star Forward Jason Asemota is one of the best players in the class of 2024. Asemota is a unique wing because he plays both sides of the ball at a high level. Has the ability to switch onto smaller defenders on the perimeter or bigger defenders on the interior. The Baylor commit has a high IQ and a smooth mid range pull up.

Supporting Cast Jimma James is a major pick up for this Hillcrest team and he will have an immediate impact on both ends of the ball. Jimma is an athletic 6’5 PG in the class of 2023. Adept at getting downhill and finishing with an array of acrobatic layups using his length and superb body control. Very efficient in the open court and an underrated playmaker. James has offers from Georgetown, Washington State, Jacksonville State and Austin Peay. 2025 Forward Jayden Quaintance is another key piece for the Bruins. Jayden has freakish athleticism and plays the game with ferociousness. The 6’10 forward is very active and effects winning. Already holding high major offers from the likes of Washington, Oregon, Baylor, Pitt and Cincinnati. Gianni Ferentinos is another piece to watch on this Hillcrest team. 2024 G can really score it, whether that's catch and shoot threes, stepbacks or finishing in the lane. Willing playmaker and great feel for the game.

The Skill Factory (GA) Head Coach : Trey Scotti 2021-22 Record: 16-10

Overview Even though The Skill Factory may not have the deep history and pedigree as other prep programs around the country, they have proven year after year they’re legit and produce high level talent. The Skills Factory has earned their respect in the prep circuit by establishing an identity as a team that will simply outwork their opponents and play with high intensity and grit. Not to mention having some of the most talented players in the state of Georgia, TSF will be an exciting team this year.

Player Spotlight 6’6 four-star SG Kaden Cooper headlines this TSF team as the highest prospect in their program.

Great offensive player that can score in multiple ways and is a hard nose competitor. Kaden plays extremely hard on the defensive end and has freakish athleticism. Skilled shot maker and uses his athletic ability to finish well around the rim. High level player who recently cut his list to Kansas, LSU, Kansas State, Alabama, Gonzaga, Texas, OSU, Georgia Tech, Memphis and Oklahoma. 6’7 senior wing Wesley Tubbs is another high level player in this program. Relentless attacker, loves to put pressure on the defense and get downhill. Adept at being a playmaker as well as knocking down perimeter shots and playing with high energy on the defensive end. Another high level player with major Division I offers.

Supporting Cast Lathan Somerville is one of the best bigs in the class of 2024. The 6’10 center possesses great footwork with the strength to clear space in paint and finish through contact. With his strength he also has a soft touch around the rim, being able to finish over either shoulder and the ability to bounce off defenders into short fadeaway jumpers. The four-star center holds high major offers from Virginia Tech, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Xavier, Rutgers and Wake Forest to name a few. Junior point guard Rodrigo Farias was a member of Dominican Republic’s FIBA U17 team this past year and is a natural scorer.

Great feel for the game and good poise, plays at his own pace and can make tough pull-up shots. Junior guard Jeremiah Wilkinson is a raw athlete. Quick bounce and the ability to hang in the air makes him a great finisher around the rim. Great downhill lefty guard who has a high motor and a high competitor.

Look for senior guard Desmond White who’s committed to George Mason to make winning plays and be a leader for this TSF team.

Winston Salem Christian (NC) Head Coach : Antonio Lowe 2021-22 Record: 24-8

Overview Antonio Lowe is preparing for his third season at Winston-Salem Christian school with some new names and faces this winter. One of the better recruiters as coaches in North Carolina, Lowe reloads year after year. This year could possibly be one of Lowe’s deepest teams. Finishing in second in the HoopStateChampionship last year they are looking to build off the momentum they built last season.

They will expect big performances from newcomers Kany Tchanda, Chol Machot, Torey Alston, and Kobe George. While also returning Lewis “Big Lew” Walker, Isaiah Washington, and T.J. Cave.

Player Spotlight We start with the combination of Kany Tchanda and Chol Machot in the front court. Two very versatile big men who can space the floor with shooting abilities, run the floor, and protect the rim at a high level.

Tchanda rising prospect in the 2024 class coming off a big sophomore campaign and season of 16U with Team United. Tchanda utilizes his length incredibly well to finish, block shots, secure rebounds, and contain ball-handlers on switches.Offensively, he displays touch with either hand, impressive shooting range , and the ability to attack off the bounce consistently. Late addition of 7 footer Chol Machot from Melbourne, Australia, will be one of the most unknown names to start the season but will be a household name by the end of the season. There are not too many players at his size and length that are as versatile as him. At his size, he is able to shoot off the catch and bounce and shoot over his defender consistently. With his length he is able to defend the rim at a very high level.

Supporting Cast This may be one of the deepest teams the school has ever had. Starting with Lewis “Big Lew” Walker who has been with coach Lowe all three years at WSC. With his statue this makes him one of the biggest mismatches on the court. Isaiah Washington is also a gifted scorer with great size as a guard.

Watch out for transfers Torrey Alston and Kobe George, both will be X factors all year for this team with the versatility they bring on both ends of the floor. This could be the best season from coach Lowe at WSC.

Notre Dame (CA) Head Coach : matt sergeant 2021-22 Record: 21-8

Player Spotlight 5-star Duke commit Caleb Foster transferred to Notre Dame (CA) for his senior season, in hopes of capturing a state title. With his elite scoring abilities, Foster will make an immediate impact. He may be one of the best shot makers in the country with his unlimited range. Foster will pull up from 10 feet beyond the three point arc and make shots. Foster can also get into the lane and make tough shots and get teammates involved. It will be fun to see how Foster adjusts to west coast basketball.

4-star Gonzaga commit Dusty Stromer looks to redeem himself in his senior season at Notre Dame, as one of the only key returners. Stromer had a strong grassroots summer with Team WhyNot (CA) where he continuously proved to be an elite scorer. Stromer is long, which helps him on both sides of the ball. His shooting stroke is pure and he is very athletic. We expect Stromer to have a very impressive senior season.

Kenwood Academy (IL) Head Coach : mike Irvin 2021-22 Record: 25-9 Player Spotlight

Darrin “Dai Dai” Ames is a 6’1 lefty guard that is wired to score the basketball. He currently stands as the 51st ranked prospect in our rankings and will be the driving engine for Kenwood this season. The Kansas State commit controls the game with his pace and can really score from all three levels. Ames can pass the ball as well and get his teammates involved when needed. He averaged 19 points and five assists last season for Kenwood.

Supporting Cast

Overview Kenwood put together undoubtedly the most talented and exciting team in their school’s history a year ago.

After the departure of Trey Pettigrew and losing top sophomore wing Bryce Heard to Montverde and senior Davious Lowry to Donda Academy, Coach Mike Irvin and Kenwood will look to reload this year. The new look Broncos however, will return their most important piece, Kansas State commit Dai Dai Ames. With a four-star point guard in Ames, along with the combination of impact transfers and returning underclassmen from last season, Kenwood will be right back in the mix as one of the best teams in the state of Illinois and a more than interesting team to follow nationally.

Though the Broncos lost a lot in the offseason, they should be no pushover with incoming AZ Compass transfer Chris Riddle and the emergence of sophomore Aleks Alston and juniors Jaden Smith and Calvin Robins Jr. Riddle is a 6’5 explosive wing that will provide versatility on both ends of the floor. Alston is a 6’9 forward who is a knockdown shooter with a good feel for the game. Smith is a 6’10 center who will be the man inside for the Broncos. Robins is another elite athlete that is an excellent finisher in the paint. 2024 guard Isaiah Green will also be a heavy contributor for Kenwood. Green is a transfer from Hillcrest High School.

Overview 1 of 1 is gearing up for their second season as a program founded by Charlotte’s Lamelo Ball. A very young team with a few veteran transfers this year looking to stamp their name in North Carolina. Led by coaches Jermaine Jackson and new addition Jeff McGinnis, two NBA pros. Playing a very competitive schedule this season, they challenge themselves early with games against Combine Academy and Moravian Prep. With newcomers Tai Hamilton and Jakwon Moore and young core look for them to make a major impact in North Carolina basketball this season. A young but very talented roster that can match up with anyone.

Player Spotlight When you look at 1 of 1 you immediately notice sophomore Gevonte Ware. Standing at 6’9 228 pounds he enforces his way with almost anyone. A passer friendly big with good footwork. Coming off a year long injury his impact will be key. Newcomer Tai Hamilton is a mobile 6’10 prospect that makes his impact on the boards, a presence on the glass, and manning the paint. Also does a terrific job in protecting the rim without fouling, and operates well on the block. He holds an offer from Charlotte.

Another key piece will be newcomer Jakwon Moore, coming off an injury where he missed some significant time but still is top 20 in the state and holds a few offers already. College ready frame two way guard who can fill up the stat sheet.

Supporting Cast 1 of 1 has an impressive supporting cast. Tayeshaun Smith a versatile skilled forward who can defend multiple positions. He shoots the ball well for his size and can create off the bounce and from the post.LJ Rush is a super quick point guard that has the ability to stretch the defense with his consistent 3point shooting ability. He’s a paint touch point guard that has a quick first step and creates for others.

Yohance Connor may be one of the best two way players in his class, 94 feet on ball pest. A downhill guard that is a very explosive athlete that turns defense into offense often. Christian Wilkins and Jeremiah Jackson will help spread the floor with their 3 point shooting ability and range.

Jesuit (CA) Head Coach : Tim Kelly 2021-22 Record: 14-14

Player Spotlight Andrej Stojakoivc, son of NBA legend Peja Stojakovic, has made a name for himself in the high school basketball scene. Stojakoiv has emerged as one of the most complete players in the country. With a mixture of size, skill, and IQ, he can do it all on the court. Playing with the Compton Magic (CA) on the adidas 3SSB circuit, Stojakoivc was able to display all levels of his game for the country to see. Recruitment wise he is down to four schools UCLA, Oregon, Texas, and Stanford.

Stojakovic will take on more of a leader role while still being the main source of offense.

John Marshall (VA) Head Coach : Tytrail White 2021-22 Record: 22-4 He is also down to his top 4 schools for commitment, USC, NC State, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown. Also coming back from that state championship team is junior guard Damon Thompson Jr. who also had 14 points in that state championship game. He will be asked to pick up more of the scoring role and point guard duties for John Marshall this year. Which should be no problem for Thompson who is a guard wired to score and can shoot the ball off the catch and dribble consistently. He is also a very gifted ball handler and facilitator. He currently holds offers from College of Charleston, Robert Morris, Overview Jacksonville, Hofstra, The Mount St. Marys, and NJIT. Look for Thompson and Parker to lead their John Marshall is gearing up for another VHSL Class 2 state championship. Since Coach Ty White team through the early tough games in the beginner of the year. took over coaching the North Side program in 2010-2011, the Justices are 222-51, winning State Class 2 titles in 2018 and 2020. have also won state titles in 2014, 2018 and 2020. Looking at a strong schedule as always with a few strong tournaments before conference play. They lost big man Tyler Mason to Minnesota Prep but added early high major freshman forward Latrell Almond to the roster. Look for this to be a team that surprises the state of Virginia and a lot of teams nationally.

The Justices have a solid supporting cast this season. They bring back Dominique Bailey who was also on last year's team. Look for him to have a bigger role and to play way more minutes this season. He brings a very competitive edge that every team looks to have. A lockdown defender who does not mind guarding another team's best player all game long. Look for his stock to grow Player Spotlight after this season and summer. They have a pretty big transfer into Richmond in 6’9 freshman Latrell When you first see John Marshall first you Almond. Almond came into school this fall with six notice senior forward 4-star Dennis Parker Jr. The power 5 offers already. He currently holds Rutgers, 6’7 wing / forward helped lead his Team Loaded VA Tennessee, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, NC team to the Adidas 3SSB Circuit championship averaging 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.0 steals State and Georgetown offers. Almond could easily per game this past summer. He also had 14 points be the next Efton Reid (Gonzaga) or Rosevelt Wheeler (Louisville) out of the Richmond school. in the State Championship game last spring.

He will fill the void of Tyler Mason and bring a rim Coming off a great summer he is also looking to repeat as State Champions. The wing is debatably to rim big man who runs the floor and rebounds at the best two-way player in his class. He is a good a high level. He has a great rip through and quick team defender with great instincts in the passing first step that often helps him blow by or create lanes, and also has good length and a strong separation from defenders. frame.

Pickerington Central (OH) Head Coach : Davian Bates 2021-22 Record: 24-3 Player Spotlight Ohio State commit Devin Royal headlines this state championship program. The 6’6 wing loves to play with physicality and toughness around the rim. Royal is very athletic and uses his gifts to live above the rim. Royal dunks everything in his vicinity and attacks the rim relentlessly. A good set shooter from three and is comfortable picking his spots and knocking down mid range jumpers. Royal loves to catch in the mid or high post and use his jab series to see what defender bites for.

Whether it’s a soft mid range jumper or a strong basket at the rim, it usually ends up in two points.

Hillcrest (CA) Head Coach : Jackson Wood 2021-22 Record: 12-14

Player Spotlight 7’1 Center Dennis Evans is headed to Minnesota next season and the key player for this Hillcrest team. Evans is a really intriguing prospect. Arguably the best rim protector in all of high school basketball with his length and great timing. Evans also has the ability to shoot it from the outside with smooth shot mechanics. His 7’7 wingspan makes him a lob threat at all times and allows him to be phenomenal as a help side defender and rim anchor.

Sage Hill (CA) Head Coach : Dean Bryant 2021-22 Record: 15-11 Player Spotlight 6’9 wing Carter Bryant is one of the best players in not only the class of 2024 but in all of high school basketball. Holding offers from Duke, Gonzaga, Oregon, Louisville, UCLA and Arizona, Carter has already cemented himself as a high level prospect. Carter is at his best when he is looking to score but he has a wellrounded overall game. Bryant can do a lot of things at a high level, which makes him such a good player. He excels as a shooter, off the bounce or off the catch and is effective from three and in the mid range. He doesn’t look like the most athletic player on the floor but his athleticism can go overlooked, because of his deep skill set. A good ball handler and willing passer at his size, he can create offense on his own. He holds value as a twoway player, given his switchability and high motor.

Curtis (WA) Head Coach : Tim Kelly 2021-22 Record: 27-3 Player Spotlight The state of Washington has a long lineage of great hoopers like Isaiah Thomas, Zach Lavine, Brandon Roy and Dejounte Murray just to name a few. Junior four-star point guard Zoom Diallo seems like the next one to carry on the torch. Diallo is a quick and physical guard who is fast as lightning in transition and off the bounce attacking the defense. Zoom uses his quick burst and tight handle to freeze defenders and create space to get his shot off. Plays at his own space and rarely gets flustered by defenders pressuring him, he uses defenders aggression to his advantage to get by them and get to the lane where he uses two foot finishes to catch defenses guessing. Diallo currently holds offers from Oregon, Gonzaga, Kansas, UCLA, LSU, USC, FSU and Arizona just to name a few.

Mount Saint Joseph (MD) Head Coach : Pat Clatchey 2021-22 Record: 30-7

Player Spotlight 6’8 forward Amani Hansberry is one of the best players in the country, committed to play for the Fighting Illini at University of Illinois. In Hansberry you get a strong, physical player with high IQ and a great shooting touch. Hansberry loves to catch in the high post where he can face up and toy with bigs who try to guard him on the perimeter. Imani is a mid range assassin with a variation of stepbacks, good footwork and soft touch. Also a skilled playmaker, he excels as a decision maker as a short roller in pick and roll action finding open teammates for threes. He has good patience and his moves are decisive.

6’4 combo guard Austin Abrams is the perfect match to go along with Amani Hansberry. Abrams can really fill up the stat sheet with his scoring ability. At 6’4 Abrams uses his bigger body to bump opposing guards off balance so he can get to his spots and shoot over top in the mid range. He’s creative off the bounce and is a knockdown shooter from three. Real solid and polished game as a scorer but also makes the right basketball plays and is a skilled passer. What stands out about Abrams is his ability to move off the ball and his proficiency at shooting on the move. Abrams thrives as a secondary ball handler and can use his attacking mindset to create for others.

Perry (AZ) Head Coach : Sam Duane 2021-22 Record: 25-5

Player Spotlight 2025 5-star Koa Peat is a hard nosed SF/PF that is one of the more physical players in the country.

Playing up at the 17U age level with Compton Magic (CA) this past summer, Peat took his game to another level. Coming into his sophomore season, Peat looks to show the state of California that he is not just one of the best players in the state, but in the country. Peat is a physical player that will go through defenders when scoring. He can rebound the ball very well and defend multiple positions.

Cody Williams returns to Perry to lead the Pumas for his senior season. Williams has the game of a pro right now with just the way he moves with the ball in his hands. Standing at 6’8, Williams moves and scores like a guard, making him hard to match up with. He is at his best in the mid -range area, where he uses his body and quick movements to create space from his defender and make shots over them.

Williams will continue to make strides in his game during his senior season, and help lead Perry to a State Championship.

Moravian Prep Head Coach : Jeremy ellis 2021-22 Record: 36-5 Senior forward Michael Ojo is a transfer from Princess Anne (Virginia Beach) who also ran with Boo Williams EYBL. Ojo, a Siena commit, is a hybrid forward at this stage of his career, with elite athleticism and an expanding skill set. With current offers from Siena and Norfolk State, look for that list to expand this season as he is only getting better by the day. A potential breakout season is on the horizon for him.

Overview After losing players of Eli Ellis and Mayar Wol’s caliber, you would think that your program would be in for a total rebuild. That is not the case for Moravian Prep this season, as they have reloaded with talent and experience. With additions of Jordan Marsh, Graham Worland, Stephen Quinn, and Dylan Purnell their roster is full of guys who have played on the national level. Coach Jeremy Ellis will stick to his run and gun style of play and shoot plenty of threes, which makes Moravian one of the most exciting teams in the country year in and year out. Look for them to upset some heavy hitters this upcoming season.

Player Spotlight Freshman guard Isaac Ellis is the only returner from last year’s squad. He will be thrusted into a much bigger role with the absence of his brother, but has shown over the summer he can run a team and make shots. He is also becoming more of a leader and will do whatever it takes on the floor or on the bench, to impact winning.

Senior guard Jordan Marsh comes over from Oak Hill last season where he was more of a spark plug off the bench. This season he will run the show for Moravian and be the main catalyst of offense for the Lions. He is a super speedy guard with explosive athleticism as well. His recruitment is slow as of now, but look for that to change soon after some good performances against more sought after guys.

Supporting Cast Senior G/F Graham Worland is a transfer from Greensboro Day School who is an elite shooter off the bounce and the catch. At 6’6, he is a mismatch nightmare for smaller guards and bigger, slower forwards. Mid majors need to track him all year long because he is a guy that can impact winning immediately. He knows how to play at a high level after playing for legendary coach Freddy Johnson.

Senior guard Conner Tilley and junior guard Stephen Quinn are absolute snipers for this Moravian squad.

Tilley comes in from Lord Botetourt (Roanoke,VA) who has a lightning quick release and will shoot it with no hesitation. Can also make some off the bounce. Quinn is a transfer from Combine Academy who has no conscience when shooting the ball. Has good range on his shot and will use his shot fake to get to an open spot and let it fly. These two will be as good as any shooting duo in America.

Senior guard/wing Dylan Purnell, a transfer from Tennessee Prep, is a 6’6 athlete who’s energy and effort is infectious to a team. He is at his best in transition, whether he is running the lanes to finish or shoot the spot up three, or leading the break himself and finding shooters for kick outs. He is a capable defender as well, using his wingspan to bother the ball when guarding it and get his hands in passing lanes off the ball. With his jumper improving daily, schools should definitely get involved with him because he is a sleeper at this point and could help a lot of programs win.

Legacy Early College (sc) Head Coach : Bj Jackson 2021-22 Record: 10-17

Overview Legacy Early College is going on its tenth season as a program.Started by coach Bj Jackson, he is preparing for his second season in the prestigious NIBC conference. Looking to improve on last season's 10-17 record, going 2-8 in the NIBC picking up wins against Bishop Walsh. They will be led

by Michigan State commit Coen Carr. A very explosive, probably the most athletic player in the class of 2023 and one of the best finishers. They also have added transfer Elijah Crawford from Georgia.

Player Spotlight Coen Carr will be the leader of this Legacy team this season. Carr was tenth in scoring in the NIBC last year averaging 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 0.8 steals in ten games last year in the NIBC. Carr has good size at 6’7 and should be able to play some three and four for Michigan State.

Carr isn’t a great shooter just yet, but he has the potential to develop into one. They also added Elijah Crawford from Augusta Christian who is coming off two big seasons with The Skill Factory, winning the 2021 15U Peach Jam, while this season leading the 16u program in scoring, assists, and steals.

Look for Crawford to be that floor general that the lions need.

Supporting CCast Hayden Assemian is one of the sleepers in the class of 2025 especially in South Carolina. Last travel ball season with Upward Stars Assemian averaged 13.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Assemian dominates around the basket on both ends of the floor. He is also adding more to his jump shot, as he is shooting over 70 percent from the floor early on in his career. From BatonRouge to Greenville, Senior Tyler Ringgold will be a big piece to how this team performs this year.

Tyler holds offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Clemson, Houston & many more. Ringgold is a very athletic wing that blocks shots effortlessly, he also cleans up a lot of shots off the rim and is always looking for a poster dunk. This will be a very explosive team and exciting team to watch this year.

Dorman (SC)

Head Coach : Thomas Ryan 2021-22 Record: 23-5

Overview Coming off of a stunning third round exit in the SCHSL playoffs by way of a buzzer beater, this Dorman team will be as hungry as ever to get back to the promised land. They haven’t won a state title since 2020, with that one being their fourth consecutive title. They have by far been the prominent program in SC over the last decade.

Coach Thomas Ryan is looking to claim his fifth title in seven years. Don’t be surprised if they compete with or even knock off a top-ranked team in the Chick-Fil-A Classic or the Beach Ball Classic this season. This particular team will be as hungry as any team he’s had because they want to get back to SC supremacy.

Player Spotlight Sean Lindsay will be the Cavaliers main source of offense this season. He uses his elite speed and quickness to get in the paint at will. His array of floaters and pull up jumpers makes him a threelevel scorer. His defensive prowess will also generate points as he hounds opposing guards on the ball.

Jordan Miller will be the heart and soul of this year’s squad. The Wingate commit will bring plenty of energy that is unmatched by his opponents. He is one of the best on ball defenders the state of SC has seen in some time, and opposing offenses cannot get into their actions because of it. His offense has improved tremendously over this past year, showing that he can make shots and make plays for others. His effort and hustle is contagious and will be the deciding factor in big games this year for Dorman.

Christian Andrews is back for his junior season after transferring in from North Carolina last season.

His confidence and swagger make up a huge part of his identity as a player, which leads to his success on the floor. Andrews is wired to score from all three levels, including some deep range on his three point shot. He can also set up his teammates with his aggressive drives which lead to dump offs or kick outs because he demands so much attention. He isn’t afraid to mix it up on the defensive end as well.

He will form one of the best guard trios in SC history along with Lindsey and Miller. Opposing defenses will have a hard time stopping this trio of 6’0 guards.

Supporting Cast Jamarcus Wilkins, Chase Harris, and Terry Leonard will all have to contribute if Dorman wants to reclaim the throne in South Carolina. Wilkins mans the paint for the Cavs at 6’8. He is very mobile and has a high motor to go along with his fluidity, making him a very active rebounder and defender.

Harris is a long range sniper who can make shots both off the catch and the bounce. He uses his shot fake well when defenders try to run him off the line and has shown that he can make the floater in the lane. Leonard is a slashing more athletic guard, but can also make some shots from the outside. He plays with a high motor as well and can change the complexity of a game with his effort and scoring.

St. Frances Academy (MD) Head Coach : Nicholas Myles 2021-22 Record: 35-6

Player Spotlight

Maryland commit Jahnathan Lamothe will lead the Panthers this season yet again. Lamothe is one of the more physical guards in the entire country. His broad, strong upper body allows him to handle the ball and get defenders off of him. He plays very smart and always makes the right play. Lamothe had a very impressive spring and summer with Team Durant on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he made big strides in his outside shooting. Now with more consistency, Lamothe has solidified himself as a three level scorer. Playing on the ball most of the time, Lamothe can run an offense and get guys involved, or take over a game with his scoring abilities.

Our Saviour Lutheran (NY) Head Coach : Peter Wycherley 2021-22 Record: 11-8

Overview

Our Saviour Lutheran has been a powerhouse program in NY for years now and have produced players like Posh Alexander and Precious Achiuwa. Our Saviour has been one of three teams to join Overtime Elite’s league for this upcoming season. With some added competition to the schedule, OSL has also added some talented players in UConn commit Youssouf Singare and4star point guard Ty-Laur Johnson.

Player Spotlight

Youssouf Singare is an athletic, mobile 7 footer who is an elite rim protector and an extreme vertical threat. Very explosive and has great timing as a shot blocker. Offensively he can be a lob threat on pick and roll action as well as a good spot up shooter in pick and pop situations.

Ty-Laur Johnson is one of the best prospects in NY. The 6’0 PG is lightning quick and a superb decision maker, especially down the stretch of close games. Johnson can get in the paint at will and has an array of finishes amongst the trees. Already holding offers from Memphis, NC State, Pitt, VCU, Seton Hall, Creighton and more.Look for Johnson to be an electric leader for the OSL Falcons.

Supporting Cast

OSL has a pretty strong roster from top to bottom. They have a few kids who will have big roles for this team’s success this season. 2023 wing Jahmere Tripp will play a huge role for the falcons this season. The strong wing is adept at getting downhill at using his strength and toughness to finish around the rim. Duo of ‘23 guards Armoni Zeigler and Christian Jones will add scoring and ball handling along with 6’6 wing Jason Steele being an athletic defender.

Gonzaga College (DC) Head Coach : Stephen Turner 2021-22 Record: 18-12 Overview

The Gonzaga Eagles have a young nucleus that could surprise a few teams in the very competitive WCAC conference this year. They had a positive season last year finishing 18-12. With a group of seniors leaving, this team is looking to regroup and looking towards some younger players to be big for them this season. Gonzaga has young guards with great promise but are looking to build a championship core.

With guards like Derek Dixon and Nykolas Lewis running the show, along with Harvard Commit Thomas Batties they’ll be interesting to watch.

Player Spotlight

Thomas Batties is a 3 star small forward who makes winning plays wherever you put him on the floor and is a very high I.Q. player. Batties can score it from the mid post, stretch the floor knocking down perimeter jumpers, as well as attacking the rim and using his 6’7 frame and athleticism to finish well at the basket. Batties is an interesting player who is committed to play for Harvard next season.

Nykolas Lewis is a 6’0 PG who is making a case as one of the best guards in the DMV area and becoming a household name. The class of 2025 guard plays with toughness and grit that allows him to affect the game in many different ways. Lewis being an attacking athletic guard, he constantly puts pressure on the defense. Nykolas currently holds offers from Maryland, Kansas State, George Mason, Virginia Tech and more. Coming off an EYBL Peach Jam championship with TTO this past summer, look for Lewis to continue making a name for himself.

Supporting Cast

2025 guard Derek Dixon is a great piece for this Gonzaga Eagles team to have in their lineup. Derek is a bigger guard standing at 6’3, but is a very skilled and high IQ player. His skill set allows him to play off the other players on his team and show his ability to be a sharpshooter as well as another ball handler and decision maker. Holding offers from Pitt, Kansas State, Fordham, Bryant, George Mason and Norfolk State, Dixon will be a key contributor to this Gonzaga team. 6’5 2025 wing Alex Toumou and 6’3 Bullis transfer Ryan Sabol will help tremendously when it comes to scoring the ball and helping the Eagles be able to space the floor with their three point shooting.

Joliet West (IL) Head Coach : Jeremy Kreiger 2021-22 Record: 16-11 Overview Two years ago with the high school season in question due to the pandemic, then sophomore Jeremy Fears decided to transfer to La Lumiere. In August, Fears made his way back to his hometown of Joliet, IL to re-enroll at Joliet West. The return of Jeremy Fears is undoubtedly the biggest storyline for Illinois high school basketball this upcoming season. Fears is a Michigan State commit and the 30th ranked prospect in our 2023 rankings. He will be teaming up with his little brother, Jeremiah. The younger Fears is a combo guard and the 40th overall prospect in our 2025 rankings. You will not be able to find many backcourts as talented as the Fears duo. With Joliet West regaining the top ranked player in the state of Illinois and adding 2023 F Matthew Moore, they should be able to compete with almost anyone.

Player Spotlight Jeremy Fears is undoubtedly one of the top point guards in the country. “The Floor General”, as he is often referred to, makes everyone around him better with his leadership. His competitive edge on both ends of the court is contagious. One of best traits is his willingness and desire to defend. He is known for locking up opponents on the ball and will challenge anyone at the rim. Fears is coming off a successful summer after winning gold with Team USA and will be looking to carry over to the same momentum into the high school season.

In his freshman season, Jeremiah Fears was the guy for the Joliet West squad that went 16-11. Since the high school season, he has noticeably grown a couple of inches and is now about 6’1. Jeremiah Fears is an uber-shifty combo who is extremely advanced with the ball in his hands for his age. He has range from deep and can pass effectively with either hand. He will only continue to rise in the 2025 class as he fills out.

Supporting Cast Aside from the stars in the backcourt, Joliet West’s frontcourt includes UNC Wilmington commit Matthew Moore. Moore, a 6’7 forward, is a transfer from Hillcrest High School. He’s an athletic four man who excels at finishing at the rim and blocking shots. 2023 Jayden Martin and 2024 Justus McNair will be contributors as well.

Lake Highlands (TX) Head Coach : Joe Duffield 2021-22 Record: 32-5 Overview

Last year, Lake Highlands was an exciting and young team that knocked off an undefeated giant (Plano Sr. High) in the playoffs. They advanced to the third round (regional quarterfinals) and lost to Arlington Martin. The Wildcats are returning their undisputed superstar and number 1 player in his class, Tre Johnson. But they lost a young key piece, BJ Davis-Ray, to the transfer portal as he decided to take his talents to Link Academy in Missouri.

BJ was a 4-Star forward who earned 1st team honors (District 7-6A) as a freshman last season.

Player Spotlight

Tre Johnson (Jr.) climbed his way to the top of the mountain, and he has been crowned as the No. 1 player in the country. Tre is a wiry and fiery competitor who has elite scoring instincts.

On any given night, he can go for 30+. He will light up the scoreboard from all three levels, especially if he is left open from deep. He has some bounce when attacking the hoop and he can score in a multitude of ways in the midrange with pull ups, fadeaways, and runners. He is not muscular, but he plays stronger than his frame shows. He will be the guy that every team is game planning for this season, and he will most likely see some creative coverages from the opposition. Fortunately for Tre, the Wildcats are far from a one-man show.

Supporting Cast

The interior is patrolled by Samson Aletan (Sr.), a 6-10 athletic center who is a shot blocker, lob threat, and is the primary rebounder for this team. Samson is committed to Yale University, and he has continued to develop a viable hook shot around the basket. Lake Highlands is expecting a huge leap from their starting backcourt, Jaylen Washington (Jr.) and Quinton Perkins (Sr.). Both guards are highly skilled ball handlers who can take a lot of pressure off of Tre and they will punish teams who try to overhelp and leave them with wide open looks.

Quinton Perkins plays a physical brand of basketball when he is attacking downhill, and Jaylen Washington has the skill and opportunity to shoot up the rankings this season. Outside of those four core pieces, the Wildcats will depend on the athleticism of Jaire Williams, the shooting of Warren Hamilton, and the development of Khaleel Thomas and Logan Strayhan to round out their team. There are a couple young sophomores who may be surprisingly productive this year in Lewis Racine and Elias DeMent.

Jayden Reid returns to Long Island Luthern for his senior season, and the starting point guard will be playing one of the toughest schedules in the country. Reid has proved on many occasions that he can score the basketball. Being an undersized guard, Reid has managed to go up against some of the top guards in the country and battle with them from start to finish. Reid is a pure scorer but can run an offense as well. Scoring the ball comes natural to Reid, as he is so crafty with the ball in his hands. For Long Island Lutheran to be successful in their first year in the NIBC, Reid will have to be the main source of offense, while being the leader as well.

TJ Power’s recruitment blew up this spring and summer playing with BABC (MA) on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Committing to Duke eventually, Power looks to focus on his main goal for this season, and that is to win a National Prep championship. Power is one of the more versatile players in the 2023 class. He can stretch the floor and knock down shots from well beyond the three point arc. Inside he can finish over any defender and has a lot of moves in the post that help him score in many ways. Power can defend almost any position on the floor. With his length, scoring abilities, and versatility on defense, Expect Power to have a monster senior season before heading to Duke.

Another player from Worcester Academy that also played with BABC (MA) is Tre Norman, who was one of the most underrated players in the Nike EYBL circuit this season. Norman is a scoring 2-guard that can play off or on the ball. Norman has NBA range when shooting the three ball. Norman impacts the game in so many ways, helping him and his teammates win games. With Norman handling the point guard and some shooting guard duties, Worcester Academy will be in good hands.

Overview Brewster Academy is coming off yet another NEPSAC championship run, adding to the schools reputation as a national powerhouse. The Brewster Bobcats have enough talent on their team to make another deep run this upcoming season with four players cracking ESPN’s top 100 for class of 2023 and a supporting cast of elite level players. Led by Tennessee commit J.P. Estrella, UConn commit Solomon Ball, Florida State commit Taylor Bol Bowen and Penn State commit Carey Booth, this Brewster team will be a challenge for opposing coaches to game plan against.

Player Spotlight Solomon Ball is a 6’3 SG who is an exceptional athlete and plays with a high motor on both ends of the ball. The lefty guard plays with aggression and is relentless when attacking the rim or putting pressure on the defense. Senior big man J.P. Estrella is a 6’11 center committed to play for the Volunteers of Tennessee next season. Estrella has shown he possesses the ability to do a lot of things at a high level. A great help side defender, protecting the rim and altering shots with his length. Good mobility and the ability to step out to the perimeter and knock down jumpers with a confident stroke. 6’8 Forward Taylor Bol Bowen is a long athletic player that rebounds well and a strong finisher around the rim. Has the ability to impact games controlling the boards and making big time defensive plays. 6’10 Forward Carey Booth might be the most versatile player on this talented Brewster team. The senior big man can score at all three levels, make controlled plays off the dribble and can run the floor with excellence. His mobility, leaping ability, length and quickness makes him a presence on the defensive end to go along with his offensive talents.

Supporting Cast Brewster has a group of guys who may not have all of the national attention but could easily go to other programs and be stars and are arguably some of the better players in their respective classes. A name that comes to mind is Aaron Clark, 6’5 SG in the class of 2023 who currently holds offers from Maryland, VCU, Xavier, Marquette, Kansas State, Iowa, LSU, Rutgers, Creighton and more. Reid Ducharme, 6’6 sharpshooter committed to play at Xavier, Harvard commit Aidan Cammann and 6’0 junior guard Jeremiah Jenkins who currently holds offers from UMass, Brown, Fairfield and Boston College.

Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) Head Coach : micheal shelton 2021-22 Record: 33-6 Overview Northfield Mount Hermon had a promising run last season finishing the season 33-6 and making a deep playoff run. With a new Head Coach in Michael Shelton and a new mix of players coming in, Mount Hermon has some things to figure out but they’re a talented group that could be a sleeper program to watch out for in that New England area.

Player Spotlight 6’7 senior wing Matt Gray is one of the program's better players. Elite athleticism and good all around game and versatility makes Gray a player the Hoggers will rely on this season. Currently holds offers from Radford, Cleveland State, North Carolina A&T, Brown, Loyola, Merrimack, Saint Francis and Columbia. Dre Roman is another key piece to this team. The 6’3 senior guard is extremely athletic and excels in transition or in space where he can attack the defense. Norman currently holds offers from Fresno Pacific and Stony Brook. 6’10 senior big man Emile Johnson acts as a paint presence for the Mount Hermon Hoggers. Johnson, who currently holds offers from Rutgers and La Salle, look for him to have a big season.

Supporting Cast Senior Guard Walker Andrews is a 6’1 point guard who can flat out shoot it. A natural scorer, look to Walker to be a big contributor to this team. Currently holds offers from Duquesne and NJIT. Hunter Fleming, 6’8 senior forward had a good summer and earned himself some recognition.

Will be a major contributor to this team, adding toughness to their frontcourt. Northfield also has a young upcoming point guard in the class of 2025, Greg Brooks who already has one offer from Bryant.

St. Rita (il) Head Coach : Roshawn Russell 2021-22 Record: 23-12

Overview Last year’s team only had 3 seniors, but this team was loaded with young guards and two nationally ranked twin towers down low. The Saint Rita Mustangs lost a competitive game to the Kenwood Academy Broncos, 75-68 in the sectional championship; the farthest they have advanced in school history. They are returning most of their roster from last season, but starting guard, Kaiden Space, transferred to Simeon Academy for his senior season. This team has sky-high expectations with a trio of nationally recognized talent and a strong supporting cast of guards.

Player Spotlight The Mustangs’ foundation is built on the dynamic 6’8 duo of James Brown (ranked #28 in 2024) and Illinois commit, Morez Johnson Jr. (#32 in 2024). They will look to dominate the paint on both ends of the floor and complement each other’s games with another year of experience together. Brown is a skilled center who can be a secondary playmaker and rim protector. Johnson is an explosive leaper who provides the energy and intensity that this team needs. This team is going to be extremely difficult to guard this year because they are adding another top 60 prospect in Lemont transfer, Nojus Indrusaitis (#57 in 2024). The three of them all played AAU basketball with the Chicago Meanstreets this summer, so they are well accustomed to how each other plays. Nojus is one of the most prolific scorers in Illinois and he had an excellent summer playing for his Lithuanian FIBA U16 Team, winning the European Championship while also being their leading scorer. When your 3 best players are 6’6, 6’8, and 6’8 there will not be too many teams in the Chicago Catholic league that can matchup with you. Their real tests will be the nationally scheduled games against other elite high schools and prep programs.

Supporting Cast Saint Rita has a stable of solid guards to utilize. Homewood-Flossmoor transfer, Nashawn Holmes (Sr.), is an aggressive and physical scorer who plays well off his jab step. 4-Star 2025 guard, Melvin Bell, will look to build on a tremendous freshman year as he continues to add to his game. Jordan Chandler (Sr.), Amari Edwards (So.), and Mikai Harris (So.) will bring stability and consistency to the guard position. It will be interesting to see who the starting backcourt will look like with so many options to choose from. Fenwick transfer Graham Lathan (Jr.), will add some much-needed depth to the wing position with his defensive versatility and opportunistic scoring.

Overview

Neumann-Goretti have won 12 Philadelphia Catholic Championships under head coach Carl Arrigale. This year, they look to do that exact same thing. Led by Baylor commit Robert Wright III, the Saints play hard and play the right way. Playing fast is what makes them successful. They have great transition sets that allow them to catch defenses off guard. Overall, Neumann Goretti has been successful for many years in a very tough conference, will this year be the same? The answer is yes.

Player Spotlight

Robert Wright III is one of the most talented guards in the 2024 class. Announcing his commitment to head coach Scott Drew and Baylor on September 9th, Wright can now solely focus on his upcoming junior season at Neumann-Goretti. Wright is the point guard that any team would want. He can score when needed, but is great at setting up an offense and leading this team. Scoring the ball comes natural to him. He is very shifty with the ball in his hands and can create space from defenders with his elite ball handling skills. Being the lead guard on this team means that you have to be able to pass, and Wright can do that very well. Wright has the chance to lead the conference in scoring and assists.

The Patrick School (NJ) Head Coach : Chris Chavannes 2021-22 Record: 15-10 Overview The Patrick School is a household name in high school basketball. With alumni like Kyrie Irving, Jonathan Kuminga, Bryce Aiken and Michael KiddGilchrist, they’re a highly respected program.

Looking to improve on their 15-10 record from last season, the Celtics have a hungry group of players that are expected to make some noise this season plus the addition of 4 star shooting guard Anthony Gilkes.

Player Spotlight The addition of Anthony Gilkes is major for the Celtics. Anthony gives them a smooth combo guard who can really score it and great at making reads in pick and roll offense. Standing at 6’6, Anthony uses his frame and athleticism to shoot over defenders and finish at the rim through contact. Look for 6’9 wing James Moore to have a big season this year.

The Junior forward is the jack of all trades. Can run the floor, guard multiple positions and can score at all three levels. 2024 wing Jaiden Glover will be another big piece to this team. Jaiden is a 6’6 wing who is really good in open space. High flying athlete and a fluid jump shooter.

Supporting Cast The Patrick School has good all around talent and a well balanced attack. All of their games will be a team effort because of their depth. They have proven players like 2023 UAB commit KJ Satterfield, 2023 Seck Zongo who is a Northern Illinois commit and Daye Kaba, 2024 wing transferring in from Bishop Loughlin. Patrick school also has two young guys who could make big impacts this season. 2025 Center Tacko Fawaz, who excels as a rim protector and has a high motor. 6’4 sophomore guard Ikenna Alozie is a strong athletic guard who gets downhill at will. Improving playmaker and plays hard on both ends, a player to keep an eye on the next few years.

North Mecklenburg (NC) Head Coach : Duane Lewis 2021-22 Record: 27-5

Isaiah Evans has made himself a national household name in North Carolina and in the class of 2024 nationally. Coming off great live periods for TSF and North Meck, he is building up for a big junior year. Last year Evans led his high school team to a 27-5 record losing to the state champions Weddington High School.This last high school season he averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists last high school season.

Evans averaged 9.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game this summer for the TSF program on Nike’s 16u EYBL Circuit. This will be Isaiah Evans big year to lead North Meck to a state championship losing eight seniors from last season. Racking up a lot of power five offers and interest since this time last year. Evans is easily top five 2024 prospects in North Carolina and top thirty nationally.

Whitney Young (IL) Head Coach : Tyrone Slaughter 2021-22 Record: 25-10

Overview

Whitney Young has been one of the most successful programs in Illinois for the past decade plus. After falling to undefeated juggernaut Glenbard West in the 4A state championship a season ago, Whitney Young will have vengeance on their mind. The Dolphins lost several key contributors from that run. AJ Casey (Miami), Xavier Amos (NIU), and Matt Sommerville (TSF) have all moved on. Luckily, they will have quality returners from a 25 win team that will be asked to step up. 2023 point guard Dalen Davis will be the leader of the group with 2025 Antonio Munoz and others by his side.

Player Spotlight Dalen Davis will be the man in charge for Coach Slaughter and Whitney Young. Davis is a 5’11 lead guard that is committed to Princeton. He’s been a major piece of the Dolphins success since he was a freshman, playing alongside future Duke Blue Devil and DJ Steward. Davis is exactly the type of point guard that you would want leading your team and initiating your offense. He controls the tempo with his pace and is a high IQ player. A natural leader, Young is in good hands with Davis at the head.

Antonio Munoz is a fast rising wing that is receiving high-major interest. Already holding an Illinois offer, he is 6’6 with eye-popping athleticism. Munoz used his size, length, and athleticism to be effective as a slasher and cause havoc on the defensive end. With already a solid mid range game, he is coming along as a three-point shooter.

Supporting Cast Returning seniors Marcus Pigram and Daniel Johnson will also have big roles for Whitney Young.

Pigram is a 6’3 combo guard that did a little bit of everything for them last year. Johnson is another 6’6 wing that will also be a versatile player for them, providing spacing and size for the Dolphins. 2026 guard Marquis Clark also has a chance to make an impact for Young as a freshman.

Dream City Christian (AZ) Head Coach : Kyle Weaver 2021-22 Record: 29-9

Overview

A season ago, Dream City Christian seaon changed completely when future 2022 lottery pick Shaedon Sharpe and current Portland Trail Blazers guard decided to leave the school to enroll at Kentucky. Despite losing a talent such as Sharpe, who at the time of his departure was the No. 1 player in the nation, Dream City Christian put together a solid season playing a national schedule. Last year’s team was led by forward Yohan Traore and guard Milos Uzan. Traore is now at Auburn and Uzan is at Oklahoma, so this year’s team will look a little different, starting with a new face – Gabe Warren.

Player Spotlight

Dream City Christian will be led by incoming transfer Gabe Warren. The Rice commit is a 6’7 small forward with great physical tools. Warren transfers in from John Paul II in Texas, where he earned first-team all-state honors his junior year. Warren uses his athleticism and quickness to get into the paint and finish plays at the rim and through contact. He also has a nice touch on his perimeter shots and is a solid shooter from the midrange and three-point line. He has real potential to become a three-level scorer at the next level. Warren also presents elite potential on the defensive end of the ball, given his impressive physicals and natural feel on that end. He uses his size and physicality extremely well to generate steals for easy finishes on the other end.

Moline (IL) Head Coach : Sean Taylor 2021-22 Record: 28-5

Overview Moline will be looking to build off an impressive season in 2022. The pair of Iowa commits and AAU teammates Brock Harding and Owen Freeman will play their senior season together for coach Sean Taylor at Moline High School in Moline, Illinois. Owen Freeman announced his transfer from BradleyBourbonnais to Moline early in the summer. Both Harding and Freeman are rated as three-star prospects and top 10 players in the state of Illinois.

Player Spotlight Iowa commit Brock Harding is a 6-foot point guard. Though he may be considered as undersized, he is a high profile shooter and talented playmaker with the ball in his hands. He can shoot it off the catch or stop on a dime and pull up from three with ease. Harding is extremely unselfish and consistently makes the right play out of the pick and roll. He is such a difficult cover because of how fast he is. Harding effortlessly puts together an array of crossovers and spin moves on the perimeter to blow by defenders.

He's tough and plays bigger than he actually is.

Owen Freeman, a 6’10 center, committed to Iowa in October of his junior year. Freeman thrived playing with Harding in the grassroots season and should see the same success during the school season as well. He is a mobile big with solid athleticism and tremendous footwork in the post. Freeman is frequently seen backing down opponents and spinning back baseline for finishes at the rim. He is an improving shooter and could be a legit floor spacer at the next level with added work. With the transfer of Freeman to Moline, that gives Head Coach Sean Taylor and the Maroons two of the top players in the state who have been developing chemistry for some time now. Expect a big year in the Quad Cities from the duo of future Iowa Hawkeyes.

Norcross (GA) Head Coach : Jesse McMillan 2021-22 Record: 26-6 Overview Last season, Norcross was able to capture their sixth GHSA state championship since 2006 after defeating Berkmar in the Class 7A state championship. Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, they lost their best player, London Johnson to G League Ignite a few months back. The loss of a player of Johnson’s caliber is never easy. Johnson was a four-star recruit in the class of 2023. The Blue Devils always reload, and this time will look to fill his shoes with another four-star recruit, a highly touted transfer from nearby.

Player Spotlight Lamariyon Jordan transfers into Norcross from Dacula High School. Jordan, a Georgia commit, is a four-star recruit and one of the top players in the state of Georgia. Jordan is a strong 6’6 wing with great positional size. He saw his stock rise this summer playing on the EYBL circuit with the Georgia Stars and put the national stage on notice. Jordan has the ability to make jump shots on the perimeter, but excels at getting downhill and finishing in the lane. Expect Norcross to again be one of the top teams in Georgia with the addition of Lamariyon Jordan.

South Kent (CT) Head Coach : Raphael Chillious 2021-22 Record: 18-16

Overview Coach Raphael Chillious returns to South Kent after a stint coaching at the collegiate level. After an underwhelming season a year ago, South Kent will definitely look to change things around this year.

Chillious is no stranger to talent, after coaching six future NBA players in his first term with the school from 2003-2008. This year's South Kent team will be led by two of the top players in the state of Connecticut, Elmarko Jackson and Papa Kante. Both members of the 2023 class, Jackson is a Kansas commit and Kante is a Michigan commit.

Player Spotlight Elmarko Jackson is the 36th ranked player in our 2023 rankings. Jackson transfers into South Kent from Academy of the New Church in Pennsylvania and is coming off of a huge summer with We R1 on the Under Armour circuit. Jackson is an explosive 6’3 guard who is nearly unstoppable to guard when he gets downhill. Though he is lightning fast, he still plays with tremendous pace. Jackson has always been gifted physically, but he has continued to improve as a jump shooter as well. He’s proven to be both a winner and a leader, and has every trait that you would want from a guard running your team. The addition of Jackson will make South Kent a much more dangerous team this season.

Papa Kante is a 6’10 center with a next level frame. Kante is an active big man that uses his near 7’4 wingspan to block shots and dominate on the glass. He is a great rim runner and uses this to his advantage to score easy points in transition. At this stage, his biggest contributions come from the defensive side of the ball and on the boards, but his offense continues to develop. He has solid footwork and good touch, which gives the reasons to believe he could develop more on this end as he progresses

Pebblebrook (GA) Head Coach : George Washington 2021-22 Record: 28-4

Overview

Pebblebrook is another Georgia team with a rich history. After winning 28 games in the 2021-22 season, they suffered a loss to Berkmar in the Class 7A final four which eliminated their hopes of winning a state championship. Pebblebrook has lost two Division I prospects and major contributors from last year's squad. Andre Young has moved on to Troy and 2,000 point scorer Kami Young is now at Rider. With a ton of points to replace from last year’s 28 win team, senior wing Jaiun Simon will have an increased role for the Falcons.

Jaiun Simon is a 6’6 wing with offers from Georgia State, USF, Loyola, and others.

Simon has somewhat an old-school game and mindset in terms of scoring the ball. He loves to faceup in the midrange and rise over the top of defenders for pull up jump shots. He is able to blend his impressive scoring in the mid range area with an excellent ability to finish at the rim. Simon’s abilities go farther than his offensive skills.

He brings it consistently on the defensive side as well. Simon should easily be one of the best players in the state of Georgia this season.

Frisco Memorial (TX) Head Coach : Quinton Gibson 2021-22 Record: 28-6

Texas Tech commit Drew Steffe will lead Frisco Memorial this season.

Steffe, a four year starter for Frisco Memorial is arguably the best shooter in the entire 2023 class. Steffe has added some muscle and is looking to make a huge impact his senior season before heading to Texas Tech. It does not matter if his shot comes from off the dribble or off the catch, it has a good chance of going in. Steffe is great at using the pump fake. He gets his defenders off their feet, takes a side dribble and knocks down shots. He can also handle the ball very well, allowing him to get his shot off easier. Steffe can pass the ball very well. He is great at throwing no-look passes to teammates in easy scoring positions and also is great at passing out of the pick and roll.

Expect Steffe to put up some big numbers in his senior season.

Milton (GA) Head Coach : Allen Whitehart 2021-22 Record: 22-8 Overview

Coming off a state championship in 2021, Milton followed up an ideal season by winning a Regional championship in 2022. Unfortunately, they were unable to repeat as state champions, suffering a heartbreaking loss and being knocked out of the playoffs last season by Pebblebrook in the state quarterfinals. The Eagles will be losing a ton of production from last year’s extremely talented team. Kanaan Carlyle, who is a four-star guard committed to Stanford, has moved onto OTE. Georgia's reigning Gatorade Player of the Year Bruce Thornton is now in his freshman season at Ohio State. With so much talent gone from a year ago, Milton will be relying on some new faces to fill in some holes.

2025 guard Josh Dixon is entering his first season at Milton after transferring from North Cobb Christian. Though only an underclassmen, Dixon has a real chance to have a huge year for the Eagles. As a freshman, Dixon averaged over 20 points for North Cobb and was named to GHSA’s Class A-Private firstteam. Dixon is a tough-nosed, scoring guard. He has quickness that allows him to blow by defenders and finish at the rim. He also loves to stop on a dime and pull up in the mid range. Dixon currently holds offers from Middle Tennessee State, Presbyterian, and Western Carolina.

That list should only continue to grow.

Grayson (GA) Head Coach : Allen Whitehart 2021-22 Record: 21-9

Overview

In 2022, Grayson just missed out on a trip to the Class 7A Final Four. They were defeated in a nail-biter by the state’s runner-up, Berkmar. 6’9 forward Chauncey Wiggins was the leader of that team who won 21 games. The three-star recruit has since made his way to Clemson to start his collegiate career. Though Wiggins has moved on, Grayson will still be a force in the state of Georgia with 2024 Gicarri Harris leading the way.

Player Spotlight

Gicarri Harris is a combo guard that is currently being recruited by schools all across the country. Programs like Purdue, Auburn, Florida, and LSU have extended offers because of his ability to shoot the ball and get stops on the defensive end. Harris is also extremely physical and knows how to use his body really well to absorb contact and finish in traffic. He is a solid straight line driver, but also has the ability to create for himself and others. After being a key player for Grayson as a sophomore, Harris had an impressive grassroots season on the 3SSB circuit playing with the Atlanta Celtics. With increased opportunity his junior season, Harris should be able to lead Grayson to another winning season and solidify himself as one of, if not the best junior in the state.

Oak Ridge (FL) Head Coach : Steve Reece 2021-22 Record: 21-8

Overview Oak Ridge’s 2021-22 season ended in the Class 7A state semifinals with a loss to Seminole. For this upcoming season, the Pioneers have lost Fabio Basili, who earned honorable mention all-state honors and scored over 1,600 points for them throughout his career. Basili has transitioned to Louisville to start his collegiate career. With his departure, Oak Ridge will need to replace nearly 20 points a game. Coach Reece will have a young group, but they are filled with talent and should be exciting to watch.

Player Spotlight Jalen Reece is the 50th ranked player in our 2025 rankings. Reece currently holds offers from Missouri, Cincinnati, UCF, and more. As a freshman, Reece played a major role for the Pioneers, averaging 12 points and 6 assists a game. He will be asked to do even more as a sophomore, and his play over the summer gives the implication that he is ready to embrace the challenge. Reece is a 5’11 lead guard that excels in setting up his teammates. He won’t wow you with his speed, but he’s extremely tricky with the ball and uses this to create advantages on the offensive end. He’s also a craft finisher around the rim and an efficient shooter from deep. Reece is one of the best point guards in the 2025 class.

Supporting Cast Oak Ridge will be far from a one-man show. There are a number of other talented players on the team including juniors Elijah Elliot, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Tillery, and UCF commit Cameron Simpson.

Elliot is a 6’2 combo guard that is athletic and aggressive when attacking the rim. Johnson is a 6’5 forward with a number of Division I offers. Tillery and Simpson are both transfers that will add versatility on both ends for the Pioneers.

Carmel (IN) Head Coach : Ryan Osborn 2021-22 Record: 18-6

Overview

Carmel has won four Indiana state championships in the last decade, including 2019 and 2021. Their 16 game postseason win streak and seven year run of sectional titles came to an end last March, when the Greyhounds lost to Westfield in the sectional championship. Two huge pieces from previous successful teams are no longer with the program. Providence commit Garwey Dual has transferred to SoCal Academy and Pete Suder is now at Bellarmine. The absence of Dual and Suder won’t be easy to make up, but Carmel will still be a threat in the state of Indiana, just as they always are.

Player Spotlight

Sam Orme is 6’8 forward who will be one of the best players in the state of Indiana this upcoming season. Orme averaged 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds for Carmel as a junior and was the sixth man on the state championship winning team as a sophomore. Orme had a successful showing on the EYBL circuit with Indy Gym Rats, ultimately leading to a commitment to Belmont in July. The intrigue in Orme comes from his ability to shoot the ball consistently from three-point range. As a naturally gifted shooter, his size and length is just a plus. After a solid summer, expect Orme to breakout even more his senior year for Carmel.

Seaforth (NC) Head Coach : Jarod Stevenson 2021-22 Record: 12-10 Player Spotlight Jarin Stevenson has been one of the biggest names in 2024 in North Carolina and nationally the last two years.The Pittsboro (NC) Seaforth High junior averaged 20.6 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season. Jarin Stevenson comes from a basketball family, his mother played at North Carolina, and his father was a 1,400 point scorer at Richmond before playing professionally overseas for ten-plus years. Stevenson is very skilled at his size, from pushing the ball on a break off a rebound or spacing the floor for your offense with his ability to shoot the basketball from all three levels. Over the offseason, Stevenson has worked on tightening his handle and smoothing out his jumpshot. He hopes the extra work will help him improve his 3-point percentage after shooting 21-of-71 (29.6%) from behind the line as a sophomore. He also expects to be more dynamic with the ball in his hands. Last season, the Hawks’ first as a varsity program, the team went 12-10 overall and lost in the first round of the state playoffs. There is reason for optimism, though, as after a 1-5 start, Seaforth managed to win nine of its next 10 games and finish second in the Mid-Carolina 1A/2A Conference, with only freshmen and sophomores.

Look for Jarin to put his stamp on his Seaforth career this season.

Totino-Grace (MN) Head Coach : Nick Carroll 2021-22 Record: 26-6

Overview Last season, the Totino-Grace Eagles got all the way to the State Championship and beat De La Salle, 50-44, to become the 3A State Champions of Minnesota. This team will be one of the best teams in Minnesota again this year and they are led by several upperclassmen who will want to leave a legacy in the pursuit of being back-to-back state champions. The Eagles will have to replace the production of graduated seniors, Ahjany Lee (University of St. Thomas) and Demarion Watson (Iowa State University).

Player Spotlight Taison Chatman is the focal point of the Eagles’ offense, and he can affect the game in a variety of ways. The Ohio State commit is a smooth and crafty scorer who does not get sped up by defensive pressure. Chatman is also a strong rebounder, playmaker, and switchable defender. He does not jump off the page with his athleticism, but he has incredible scoring instincts and overall feel for the game. His midrange game keeps the defense on its heels and it opens the floor for the rest of his team.

Supporting Cast This year, Tommy Humphries, a Furman commit, will be Chatman’s running mate. Humphries is a big guard who can score it from outside and is also creative in the paint. Patrick Bath is returning as the big man in the middle, and they will rely on his strong hands and good footwork for post scoring and dump off finishes on offense. Speedy point guard, Zy’lerre Stewart (Jr.), and Osseo transfer, Isaiah JohnsonArigu (Jr.), add an infusion of athleticism to the team. They will look for the lanky wing, Johnson-Arigu, to get to the basket with the ball in his hands on drives as well as without the ball on cuts. Overview This McNamara team will look a little different this year, losing some key seniors last season. Look for this team to come out hungry and with a chip on their shoulder. In this competitive WCAC conference, they look to compete every night and their guard play will be their strong point.

Player Spotlight Look for 2023 PG Jeremiah Quigley to be a leader on this McNamara team. The 6’0 guard is committed to Fairleigh Dickinson and made all WCAC honors last season as a junior. Quigley is lightning quick and can get into the paint at will. Coming off a deep run in Peach Jam with TTO, expect Jeremiah to play with great confidence. Jaden Johnson is another 6’0 senior guard who is very impressive. Jaden is very strong and is confident as a primary ball handler. Adept at getting downhill and very strong, he bounces off defenders and finishes well at the rim using creative acrobatic finishes.

Supporting Cast McNamara has a young group of guards who will be essential to this teams success this season.

2026 guard Prince Alex Moody will give them good minutes this season with his size and athletic ability.

Will be a player to keep your eyes on for seasons to come. Martin Somerville and Jaren Curtis will be valuable as well. McNamara will be an interesting team to follow this year in the WCAC.

Roman Catholic (PA) Head Coach : Matthew Griffin 2021-22 Record: 24-4

Overview The Roman Catholic basketball team is coming off a 6A state championship last season defeating a talented Archbishop Wood team. The Cahillites are losing some impact players like Daniel Skillings who graduated and went onto play at Cincinnati and Khalil Farmer to Hofstra. Expect them to rely heavily on two St. Joe's commits, Xzayvier Brown and Anthony Finkley and a few underclassmen to shoulder the load.

Player Spotlight Xzayvier Brown is a tough, hard nose point guard. He has a tight handle and gets downhill at ease.

He’s a crafty point guard with good finishing ability around the rim with either hand, with a good pull up game and an array of floaters. The 6’2 St.Joseph’s commit has natural athleticism and has a quick first step making it easy for him to blow by defenders. Anthony Finkley is another key piece for the Cahillites team. Finkley, a 6’7 forward is also a St.Joe’s commit and a very unique player. Anthony has a great feel for the game and is a great playmaker. At his size he has a slick handle and great vision. A bigger guard that can play inside and out, Finkley is a great player and can be a hard matchup for opposing players.

Supporting Cast The Cahillites have a few underclassmen who play big roles on this team. Shareef Jackson, 6’7 forward is a smooth post player for this Roman Catholic team. He played big meaningful minutes for this team last year and was a large contributor to their championship run even finishing with a double double performance in the championship game. He shows good patience in the post and great footwork with the ability to finish with either hand. Will Felder Jr. is another good wing for this team that brings toughness and athleticism. Felder, being a two sport athlete and a star on the football field brings another dimension of intensity to this Cahillites program.

St. John’s College (DC) Head Coach : Patrick Behan

Overview St. John’s College is a prestigoius DC program in the prestigoius Washington Catholic Conference. St. Johns is the second oldest Christian Brothers School in the United States dating back to 1851. Looking to get over that hump from last season going 15-13 and 7-7 in the conference. Adding Daquan Davis to a young but very talented core, look for this team to surprise a lot of people this year with their DMV grit.

Player Spotlight This season St. John’s has received a big transfer in 2024 Daquan Davis from St. Frances Academy, who will be the “GUY” this season. Davis last season helped St. Frances win some big games last year against a few big teams in which Davis had some breakout performances. Having big games against NIBC Legacy Early College, Imhotep, and Huntington Prep. Already known as probably one of the top two way players in his class if not nationally. Davis is tough as nails when it comes to tough gritty players they do not make too many like him. A very high motor on both ends of the floor that you cannot teach.

A shifty lead guard who splits an efficient offensive approach between flourishing as a scorer, especially from the outer 2 levels, and making plays for others off the dribble. A very effective transition defender who closes out and scrambles well.

Supporting Cast One main contributor to the team this season will be freshmen Chase Foster, the very lengthy forward will be a major piece over the next four years. Runs the floor good for his size and uses his body and paces to blow by slower defenders and posting up smaller defenders. Devin Toatley is another big adidtion to St. Johns this season at point guard. Toatley is a strong physical guard that lives inside the lane. He is relentless in driving the ball to the basket and finishes extremely well for his size . He brings that physicality to the defensive end too where he absolutely suffocates ball handlers.

Blair Academy (NJ) Head Coach : Joe Mantegna 2021-22 Record: 21-5

Overview Blair Academy has been a national powerhouse for years producing high level talent and this year will be no different. With a nice mix of juniors, seniors and underclassmen this year's team will have a nice mix of youth, skill and experience. Last season we saw an impressive Bucs team make a deep run, led

by Joe Mantegna expect them to compete at the highest level every night.

Player Spotlight 2025 F Jack Bailey is a special talent. At 6’9 Jack possesses the ability to pick apart the defense in multiple ways. For his size he can handle the ball well and knows how to use his quickness and deceptiveness to get to the rim. Bailey also is a good playmaker and makes quick situational reads leading to assists for layups or spot up threes. 6’4 Senior guard Jayden Lemond is a crafty combo guard with high level talent. Jayden holds offers from Auburn, Connecticut, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Penn State, Vandy and more. 2024 PG Jayden Williams lives in the lane. Adept at finishing over and around defenders with either hand, and soft touch on floaters through the lane. The 6’0 guard has a quick first step and always drives with a purpose, looking to score or attract the defense and dish to the open teammate.

Supporting Cast Blair has a really talented team from top to bottom. Guard play is where they will excel and their depth will be tough to deal with for opponents. Cornell commit Ian Imegwu is a 6’9 Forward with the ability to stretch the floor with precise shooting and is very fundamentally sound. Brown commit Luke Paragon is a knockdown shooter. Senior guard Carnegie Johnson has a dog mentality and great leadership qualities. Holding offers from Stony Brook, Rider, Holy Cross and Navy. Deron Rippey Jr. is a special guard to watch for progress at Blair. High level potential 2026 guard already holds an offer from Fordham. 2024 G Lukas Schmid is also an under the radar prospect for this Blair program. Slick ball handler, strong playmaker who can score from all three levels.

Archbishop Wood (PA) Head Coach : John Mosco 2021-22 Record: 21-8

Overview The Archbishop Wood Vikings made a deep playoff run last season getting all the way to the state championship and coming up short to the Knights of Nuemann Goretti. The vikings team is young but are very talented and hungry. Led by four star prospect Jalil Bethea, expect the Vikings to have a chip on their shoulder and come to compete every game.

Player Spotlight 2024 G Jalil Bethea is the leader and best player of this vikings team. Bethea is a 6’4 combo guard with high level talent. Already holding offers from Temple, Miami, UCLA, Villanova, VCU, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Penn State and more. Bethea can absolutely light it up with his sharp shooting ability, shooting over 40% from three on the EYBL circuit with Team Final. Possesses good playmaking skills and is comfortable being a primary ball handler, look for Bethea to increase his value even more over the course of this season.

Supporting Cast Some of the vikings best players are in the class of 2025. Guard Deuce Maxey is a combo guard who can get into the paint and finish around bigger defenders but also not someone you want to leave open from the arc. 6’3 combo guard Milan Dean is another key piece for the Vikings success this year. Tough as nails, likes to get downhill and use his strength to finish at the rim and get to the free throw line.

Athletic scoring guard who has high major potential. 2023 6’8 forward Carson Howard will play a big role for this team. The senior forward was named to Philadelphia Catholic League Second Team All-Catholic last season. Look for Howard to have a big season and improve from the impressive season he had last year.

Putnam Science Academy (CT) Head Coach : Thomas Espinosa 2021-22 Record: 38-0

Overview Putnam Science Academy reloads with high major talent every single year. The reigning National Prep champions are coming off an undefeated season and are looking to repeat. Led by 4-star forward and Alabama commit Mouhamed Dioubate, along with a deep group of high level seniors Putnam Science can make the case as the best HS/prep program in the country.

Player Spotlight Mouhamed Dioubate is a 4 star forward in the class of 2023 who’s committed to play for Alabama next fall. Dioubate is one of the best players in the country. The 6’7 wing has a high motor and is relentless on the boards. The lefty wing excels in transition where he can use his athleticism and wingspan to make plays. 6’8 wing Tyrique Foster is another key player for this Putnam team. The VCU Rams commit is a long, lengthy player with a smooth handle and sweet shooting stroke. Very athletic and high motor player on both ends.

Supporting Cast Putnam Science is able to have so much sustained success because of their depth. This team has a lot of high level guys that all play a role. 6’5 2023 wing Miles Rose is very hard to stay in front of. The St. Bonaventure commit is a bigger guard who plays with physicality and power. Loves to get to the rim and make plays. 6’8 senior forward Blake Barkley who held 22 division 1 offers before he committed to Northwestern. Connor Dubsky, 6’4 senior guard who is committed to Rhode Island. 6’7 2024 wing Duane Thompson is an athletic scoring wing, who holds offers from Seton Hall, UMass, FIU, Fairfield, Iona, St. Bonaventure, Virginia Tech and more. 6’5 senior wing Will Lovings-Watts goes under the radar but can really help this team as a defender and playmaker. Pace Academy (GA) Head Coach : Sharman White 2021-22 Record: 25-5

Overview Pace has been one of the top programs in Georgia over the last five to six years, producing the likes of Wendell Carter, Matthew Cleveland, and Josh Reed. Coach Sharman White is one of the most legendary coaches in all of high school basketball, and knows what it takes to be great. Under his tutelage, this talented group of underclassmen led by KJ Green and Eric Chatfield will look to make some noise along with seniors Ben Leach and Kendall Evans.

Player Spotlight Kyle “KJ” Greene Jr., is a 6’3 point guard who’s craftiness is second to none in his class. He plays at his own pace (no pun intended) and can change gears with the best of them. His jumper has improved tremendously over the years and he is now a consistent three level scorer. With added athleticism, he could emerge as one of the top 20 players in his class, nationally. He is that skilled.

Eric Chatfield Jr. is a 5’11 point guard who uses his high basketball IQ and poise to lead any team that he is on. He uses his speed and quickness to create for himself or others, especially in transition.

He also possesses a nice midrange game and can shoot it from 3 as well. Look for him to have a breakout season and emerge as one of the top 2025 guards in the region.

LJ Moore, a 6’7 wing is a player that uses his high motor to his advantage. Moore is just a winner and will do anything to impact winning. His strengths include his slashing ability from the perimeter and his mid range game. He has expanded his range to the three point line now, which makes him even more dangerous. He gets after it on the defensive end using his wingspan and is an absolute terror attacking the offensive glass. Moore will be the heart and soul of this year’s squad and they will go as he goes.

Pace Academy (GA) Head Coach : Sharman White 2021-22 Record: 25-5

Supporting Cast

Two important underclassmen for Pace are sophomores Jackson Ferry and Chandler Bing.

Ferry is an elite shooter standing at 6’4, and already boasts multiple division 1 offers including West Virginia. Defenses have to know where he is at all times. Bing is a 6’5 wing who just does all of the dirty work that most players won’t do. He is relentless on the glass and uses his strong frame to move people around in the paint. His production level is always high due to his high motor.

Ben Leach and Kendall Evans will be the two senior leaders this season for coach White.

Evans, a Navy football commit (WR), is a glue guy that will play as hard as he can to help his team win. He is an exceptional athlete who excels in transition and will defend at a high level.

Leach is a 6’7 forward who has nice touch around the basket. He uses his left hook effectively when posting up, and has shown that he can make jumpers out to fifteen feet.

Greensboro Day (nc) Head Coach : Fred Johnson 2021-22 Record: 32-4

Overview The Greensboro Day Bengals have been a North Carolina powerhouse for a long time now. Last year was no different as they advanced all the way to the 4A NCISAA Championship game but fell to Carmel Christian, 71-66. The Bengals are reloaded with a healthy mix of young talent and proven veterans to depend on. It will be difficult to best their 32-4 record from last season, but this team has its eyes set on a championship. The playoff wins and the eventual championship game are the Ws that they are chasing.

Player Spotlight This year’s squad will be led by Virginia Tech commit, Jaydon Young. Young is an offensive star that likes to get his teammates involved when he does not have the shot he wants. His shot IQ and shooting balance from deep makes him a threat from the perimeter. He has good vision as a transition playmaker and he can finish around the basket with both hands.

Supporting Cast The strength of this team is its depth and reliable scorers up and down the roster. Upperclassmen such as Reid Carrier and Julius Reese Jr. will provide experienced playmaking and will be able to help the offense run smoothly. William Otto and Addison Newkirk are solid all-around wings who will be the glue guys on the team who must do a bit of everything for the team to be successful. Jaden Palmore and Jordan Moody provide strong two way play and depth at the guard position. The Bengals also have a duo of freshmen, Kohi Strickland and Owen Augunas and an 8th grader, Jagger Emerson, who Coach Johnson may call on to offer a spark plug off the bench.

Faith Family (TX) Head Coach : Brandon Thomas 2021-22 Record: 36-4

Overview The Oak Cliff Faith Family Eagles reached the pinnacle of high school basketball by earning a UIL 4A state championship. They defeated Wichita Falls Hirschi, 76-50. This team was stacked last year with the majority of the team staying intact for this season as well. Outside of the graduation of T.J. Caldwell (Ole Miss), Isaiah Jones (McLennan), and Brandon Walker (UTA), the Eagles have the rest of their major contributors back on the court again.

Player Spotlight This team is anchored by its two stars down low, 6’9 Senior, Jadyn Toppin, and 6’11 Junior, Doryan Onwuchekwa. There are not a lot of teams that boast two high level big men who can play off each other. Toppin, a University of New Mexico commit, is a defensive ace who can swat away shots at a high clip. He can guard multiple positions, swallows up rebounds, and he has shown the ability to score with some finesse around the basket. Onwuchekwa is a post scorer and facilitator who plays unselfishly. He has a developing inside-out game, and he has great footwork which allows him to guard smaller and quicker players. He has offers from everywhere, but K State, Texas, Houston, Tulsa, TCU, SMU, Tennessee, and Mississippi State are some of the highlights.

Supporting Cast This team has an embarrassment of riches at the guard and wing positions. Junior guards, Jazz Henderson (5’11) and Isaac Williams (6’2) are both high level playmakers who can switch off floor general duties when the other one wants to play more aggressively as a scorer. The speed and handle of this duo will be hard to match up with. 6’5 Senior, Peyton Gusters is a powerful two-way guard who takes pride on the defensive end of the floor. His athleticism makes him a problem for opponents in transition and his high motor forces the rest of his team to match his energy. 6’7 Junior, LeKendrick Taylor, is another explosive athlete on the roster who will get a lot of easy scoring opportunities with the great guard play on this team. Behind Henderson and Williams, is another duo of shifty guards, 6’1 Sophomore, Tasheim Gary and 5’11 Freshman, Kingston Willis. Both of these guards attack downhill and have no problem getting into the middle of the defense to make plays for their big men.

Reading (PA) Head Coach : Rick Perez 2021-22 Record: 26-4

Overview Reading High School has proven over the last few years to be a school in the northeast region that not only is competitive but wins games and produces high level talent. The Knights are coming off defeating a talented Archbishop Wood team in the PIAA 6A boys’ basketball championship in the 2021-2022 season. Expect this group to have a chip on their shoulder and play with an edge every night.

These guys are hungry and are home to a few prospects who are making a name for themselves.

Player Spotlight Aris Rodriguez is a 6’6 senior guard who is a natural scorer. Your ideal wing with good size, athleticism and scoring ability. Lights out shooter with extreme confidence, Rodriguez can score with anyone in his class. When he’s not shooting the long ball, he's getting to the rim and finishing through contact despite his slim frame. Rodriguez plays with a fire and intensity that's infectious for the rest of his team. Expect Rodriguez to have a big season.

Ruben Rodriguez is another scoring type of guard for this Reading program. The 6’2 Rider commit can flat out score it but is more of a combo guard than Aris. Ruben averaged 20 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds and received Berks County Player of the Year honors. More than just a scorer, Rodriguez finds ways to stuff the stat sheet. A strong ball handler and adept at creating for others, he's comfortable as the primary ball handler and a playmaker down the stretch of games. 2023 guard Myles Grey is big for the Knights success. Grey is a playmaking guard who’s able to relieve some of the pressure off of Ruben and Adris with his confidence and ball handling ability. Floor general who likes to facilitate but capable of scoring timely baskets.

Kimball (tx) Head Coach : Nicholas Smith 2021-22 Record: 28-10

Overview

The Kimball Knights had a veteranheavy team last season that was led by a talented trio of seniors: Arterio Morris (Texas), Chauncey Gibson (Clemson), and Trae Clayton (Navarro). They reached the 5A state semifinal game and lost a close game to Beaumont United, 66-64. All three of those seniors were starters last year, but this team returns two starters and another trio of seniors who will lead this year’s squad to a potentially deep playoff run.

Player Spotlight One of those two returning starters is 5 '10 senior, T’Johnn Brown. Brown is a coach’s dream for a lead point guard. He is a high character, two-way competitor who plays with a lot of fire. He is crafty around the basket, scores in the mid-range, and creates space for shooters with his driving ability. He will be the engine behind this offense, and he will be the head of the snake on the defensive end. He currently has offers from Murray State, Angelo State, and Southern Nazarene.

Supporting Cast The other starter who returned is DeCannon Wickware. DaCannon is a 6’6 senior power forward who does a lot of the dirty work for this team. He is a powerful player who does a little bit of everything to make sure that his team is in a position to win at the end of the game. He rebounds, he finishes above the rim, he is improving as a spot up shooter, and he plays with a high motor. He is committed to Incarnate Word, and he will be one of their better recruits in some time. 6 '5 senior, RJ Osborne will provide another athletic body and aggressive wing. He is a slender and elusive slasher who can get into the paint and can be dangerous in transition. Kimball also has two 6’3 combo guards who are also seniors: Barack Holland and Tylar Hankamer. Barack is a defensive-oriented guard who possesses quick hands, plays with great anticipation, and can be a good complementary scorer. Tylar Hankamer is a valuable and versatile shot maker. He will have games where they depend on him to dominate his matchup on offense.

New Hampton (NH) Head Coach : Andrew Gale

Overview The New Hampton Basketball program is known for producing high level players who are good character kids, and know how to compete. They are a part of the highly respected new england prep scene and play against some high level competition. This year's team will be no different when it comes to carrying on that New Hampton tradition and pedigree. They will be young but this team will be very deep and versatile. Composed of a group of solid players with an array of skills.

Player Spotlight Stephan Snagg is a prospect I expect to have a huge year at New Hampton. The 6’7 senior wing has a lot of upside and a lot of tools. Very active and athletic, he plays with a high motor on both ends of the ball and runs the floor well. A beast on the boards and a vertical threat on offense, Snagg has to be accounted for at all times by opposing defenses. Along with his natural abilities he’s developing as a consistent jump shooter and a perimeter threat. As a player who is too quick and fast for bigger defenders but too big and athletic for smaller defenders, Snagg will be a matchup problem for some programs. Sophomore guard Mason Blackwood will be a tough cover as well. At 6’5 Mason possesses great size for his position and skill set. A true three level scorer, he shows different finishing options at the rim and shows good body control. Good shot maker in the mid range and a very versatile defender.

Supporting Cast New Hampton has a very deep team this season. It could be any player's night to go off, but I expect their attack to be very well balanced. Cam Oates is the sole returner to this New Hampton team. He will help this team with his shot making ability. Junior forward Oscar Edelman is everything you look for in a modern day stretch big. A knockdown shooter who doesn't sacrifice his physicality and can play inside as well. A good screener who uses this ability to free himself for open opportunities. Senior Forward Fallou Gueye is a key piece and will contribute tremendously. Good playmaker and ball handler at his size, with good finishing ability and is relentless attacking the rim. Look for him to possibly be their best two-way player this season

Lincoln Park (PA) Head Coach : Marc Grandinetti 2021-22 Record: 18-8

Meleek Thomas has been a star for a while now, before he even played in his first high school game for Lincoln Park this past season, the 6-foot-3 freshman guard now sophomore had received offers from Pitt and St. John’s.

This past season Thomas averaged nearly 19 points per game for the WPIAL and PIAA playoffs. Since then he has added Pittsburgh, Kansas State, Indiana, and a few more.

Missing ten games out of Lincoln parks season his freshman year he is looking for a big sophomore leap. Ranked 11th on ESPN in the class of 2025, Thomas is a high commodity guard in the class.

Thomas is a big guard who is mostly known for his big shot taking/making ability. Thomas is creative and uses sudden and quick-twitch movements to get to the basket, but he excels in transition and is a team defender. Look for Thomas to be one of the most sought after guards in the class and is looking at a major sophomore leap.

St. Thomas More (CT) Head Coach : Jere Quinn

Overview St.Thomas More is a program that has been elite for decades on decades. One of the most decorated programs in the tough NEPSAC conference, coached by Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame nominee Jere Quinn. Quinn has been at St. Thomas More forty-four years and has had winning seasons in all forty-four seasons. Quinn always puts his experience and philosophies to good use with the young talent he acquires.

Player Spotlight Tyler Betsey is a 6’8 sharpshooter and is regarded as one of the best in the class of 2024. Betsey is a wing who can flat out shoot it. Catch and shoot stroke is pure from any spot on the floor and he attacks closeouts well, where he is comfortable making mid range jumpers. One of the most sought after recruits in the class of 2024, he holds offers from LSU, Memphis, Michigan State, Indiana, Alabama, Notre Dame, Xavier, Syracuse, Iowa, and Creighton just to name a few. 6’3 junior point guard Justin Menard is a three star point guard who holds offers from NJIT, Towson, FDU, Sacred Heart and Albany. Standing at 6 '3 Justin has good size for his position which gives him an advantage to be able to see over the defense and shoot over taller defenders. Pass first PG who plays with good pace and makes high IQ plays, but scores within the flow of the game.

Supporting Cast 2024 guard Dante Green will be a contributor to this team on a major level. Senior 6’8 wing Louie Semona plays extremely hard on both ends and never gives up on plays. A very high IQ player that does the little things and pays attention to the details. Solid defensively and very unselfish. His versatility with his shot making has earned him a few Division I offers. Junior guard Shamiere Green might be the most exciting player to watch on their team. Good size at 6’3 with serious athleticism and strong upper body.

Kid can play, has a natural feel for the game. 6’5 wing Denim Tuala-Fata transferring in from New Zealand could have a valuable role on this team as well. Good shooter, shows potential as a good 3 and D type of player.

Mt. Zion Prep (MD) Head Coach : Quinton Dulic

Overview Mt. Zion Prep has been known over the years as a competitive program based out of the Baltimore/DMV area. If you know anything about hoops you know that the DMV is rich with young talented players. Mt. Zion has good players come throughout their program like 2020 lottery pick Obi Toppin. This year Mt. Zion is led by another top player in Malachi Palmer.

Player Spotlight Malachi Palmer is a four-star shooting guard with a smooth game and a natural knack for scoring. The 6’6 senior has a natural feel for the game and can easily make a case as the best pure scorer in the class of 2024. Real confident and poise game, doesn't often get sped up and knows how to use his body to initiate contact or attacking angles that allows him to shoot over defenders on dribble pull-ups. Look for Palmer to thrive this season in this role with other good players around him.

Supporting Cast 2024 wing James Moore is an interesting prospect for this team. Standing at 6’9 James shows fluidity in his movements and a smooth athlete that has length and mobility. Has an improved handle and can score in multiple ways. Can pose as a lob threat in the dunker, posting up in the mid or low post, running the floor and cashing in on catch and shoot opportunities. Hassan Dorman is a junior guard who is a natural floor general and hard competitor. Can really heat up and score with a smooth jumper and ability to finish at the rim. 6’8 junior wing Lynn King is a young athletic prospect who has a handful of division I scholarships but will continue to get better. Senior wing Fallou Koite is a solid player who does multiple things on the court. Excels in the open court where he can get others involved and a capable shooter. His size at 6’5 and length make him a switchable defender.

Sophomore Bobby Montgomery will be a name to look out for over the course of these next two years, High level potential and athleticism from the 6’5 wing.

Massanutten Military (VA) Head Coach : Curtis Peery

Overview Massanutten is a program that has been around for some time and is known for having high character, skilled and disciplined players. With recent alumni in the NBA like Tyrese Martin and Dereon Seabron, Massanutten’s reputation isn’t changing anytime soon.

Player Spotlight Massanutten is led by Mississippi State commit Adrian Myers. The 6’7 senior forward is the jack of all trades, with a vast majority of skills and a deep bag. Adrian can score it from anywhere on the floor, using his big body and frame to score in the paint and get layups or dunks is Adrian’s game. A good athlete and capable of finishing over, around or through defenders with his relentless mentality.

Not to mention Myers can shoot in different situations whether that's catch and shoot threes or pullup mid range jumpers. Junior Guard Troy McKoy is another leader for this team. Him and Myers have similar game styles and approach to the game. Both are aggressive scoring guards who can beat you a multitude of ways. McKoy is a bigger guard who likes to apply pressure on the defense and make them pay if they leave him open on the perimeter.

Supporting Cast Senior Guard Michael Gray is a bigger guard who has a good feel for the game and a pretty good decision maker. Gray is at his best when attacking the defense and looking to create space to use his lethal jump shot. On this team there will be plenty of opportunities for him to showcase his skill.

6’5 junior wing is talented. He can play the role as a combo guard, given his ball handling ability and skills as a passer. He has a quick first step and can blow by defenders where he then attacks the rim with athleticism. Can also knock down jumpers from three and mid-range. He has the intangibles to be a high level player.

Hargrave Military Academy (VA) Head Coach : Thomas Messinger 2021-22 Record: 12-14

Overview Hargrave Military has been a national powerhouse for a long time and has a long list of alumni that have gone on to play professionally like Naji Marshall, Terry Rozier, Montrezl Harrell, Marreese Speights, Mike Scott and Jordan Crawford just to name a few. This year looks to be just as well balanced as previous Hargrave teams that have had much success.

Player Spotlight 6’7 senior forward Jaden Daughtry is the real deal. Jaden has a thick body with good upper body strength that allows him to initiate and absorb contact on drives to the rim, where he is adept at finishing through the contact with his athleticism. Daughtry can shoot the long ball, score inside and get out in transition and run. He’s the type of player that can fill it up very quickly if he’s engaged and feeling it.

Supporting Cast 6’7 wing Sam Bradford is a pure hooper. Smooth handle and sweet looking jumpshot, Sam is a player that can get to his spots and score it with ease. Good athlete and can be effective defensively with his long wingspan. 6’6 senior wing Kameron Roberts is a do it all type of player, Very versatile, Roberts plays with a high motor on the defensive end and is great in transition where he can display his athletic ability. A matchup problem for opposing teams because Kam can really shoot it at a high level but knows how to also punish smaller defenders in the paint. Kameron will be an important piece to this team. Look for senior guard De’ Shayne Montgomery to affect the game in multiple ways. Plays extremely hard and very athletic, if shots aren't falling he has the presence of mind to turn it up a notch defensively. 6’5 senior guard Diovion Famakinde might be the best natural scorer on this team. Has the ability to be strong and physical and plays with good pace. Confident ball handler and possesses a natural looking jumper from outside. Senior guard Kailon Nicholls is a blur on offense. Attacking guard who constantly applies pressure on the defense and keeps them on their heels. Deceptively quick and a tough cover for opposing guards, Nicholls gets into the paint at will and finishes around the rim with uber athletic finishes. Tough shot maker from the perimeter, look for Kailon to push the pace for the Tigers attack.

Westtown School (PA) Head Coach : Seth Berger 2021-22 Record: 31-7

Overview In 2022, Westtown cemented their status even more as a dynasty after they captured their fourth PAISSA title in the last six tournaments that were held. Duke recruit and the #1 ranked player in the 2022 class, Dereck Lively II averaged 14 points 14 rebounds and nearly five blocks for Westtown as a senior.

Quin Berger, the son of head coach Seth Berger, is now at Saint Joseph’s and Jameel Brown at Penn State. With so much firepower gone from last year's squad, the obvious question is how do they recover.

The Moose have reloaded with a ton of young talent and transfers that should again make them one of the favorites in the state of Pennsylvania as they go for their fifth state title in the last decade.

Player Spotlight 2024 forward Matthew Gilhool is looking to have a major impact this year for Westtown. The transfer comes in from Elizabethtown Area with offers from Maryland, Penn State, Rutgers, and more. Gilhool is a 6’10 four man who is versatile on both ends of the floor. He finishes well at the rim and uses his length on the defensive end to alter shots in the paint. Gilhool also showcased playing with Philly Pride this summer that he can step outside and make jumpers with his smooth lefty stroke. While it’s probably too much to ask him to be Dereck Lively, there’s no doubt that Gilhool can play a major role for the Moose for the next two years.

Aside from Gilhool, Westtown also brings in several other transfers such as Jayden Forsythe, Malik Rasu , Cam Wallac , and Jayden Kelsey that will look to make up for some of the lost talent from a year ago. Underclassmen Forsythe, Wallace, and Kelsey all display extremely high long-term potential. Rasul is a 2024 6’6 wing transfer from Sierra Canyon that should get an opportunity to make some noise for the Moose.

Calvary Christian (FL) Head Coach : Cilk McSweeney 2021-22 Record: 22-5

Player Spotlight Recent Memphis commit Carl Cherenfant will lead this year's Calvary Christian team, in hopes of achieving their end goal of a starter championship. Cherenfant is one of the more athletic wings in the country. He has a strong upper body that helps him once he touches the paint. In transition, he is a dynamic finisher, scoring the ball in a variety of ways. He is at his best when the ball is in his hands. Cherenfant can get down hill and score the ball in bunches. What also makes him the player that he is his defense. He can guard multiple positions at an elite level. His reads are great when he is off the ball. When defending on the ball, he makes opposing ball handlers uncomfortable, cousin turnovers. Look out for Cherenfant this season, as he helps his team win games and improve before his freshman season at Memphis.

Player Spotlight 2023 wing Jamari McDowell is the star for Manvel. The Kansas commit is a 6’5 athletic wing with length and solid physical tools. He loves to attack the paint and finish at the rim. He is also an active defender and developing shooter. McDowell’s grit and toughness as well as his high-motor makes him a worthy prospect to follow. McDowell should have a huge season for Manvel after an impressive showing on the circuit with the Houston Defenders.

Tampa catholic (fl) Head Coach : dan dziagwa 2021-22 Record: 22-8

Player Spotlight Karter Knox is a five-star prospect in the 2024 class and 13th overall in our rankings. Knox is a 6’6 wing that is showing promise as a threelevel scorer. Knox loves the pullup or turnaround jumper in the midrange.

Like his brother Kevin, he has a smooth stroke from deep and is physical when driving to the rim. Probably the most impressive thing about him is how he plays the game with obvious fire and emotion.Expect a big junior year from five-star Karter Knox.

mceachern (gA) Head Coach : mike thompson 2021-22 Record: 15-10

Player Spotlight Ace Bailey is the headliner for McEachern this season. Bailey is a 6’9 forward with elite level athleticism and physical tools. He is an explosive leaper, which gives him advantages on both ends of the floor. Though he is the size of a modern day big man, he has legitimate wings skills with the ability to put the ball on the floor and make a play for himself or a teammate. Bailey has shown an impressive ability of passing on the interior and mid range shot making. Given his long-term upside, Bailey is one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2024 class.

kokomo (in) Head Coach : John Peckinpaugh 2021-22 Record: 19-8

Player Spotlight Flory Binduga is a top-10 prospect in the class of 2024.

Binduga is a 6’9 big man who excels at shot blocking and running the floor hard. He is very light on his feet for a player his size and is extremely switchable because of this. Though not much of a natural scorer, Binduga is always a lob threat given his size and capable athletic abilities. He has plenty of tools to work with to unlock more of his game on the offensive end in the future. Plus, he has only been playing basketball for a short amount of time.

Brother rice (MI) Head Coach : Rick Palmer 2021-22 Record: 15-7

Player Spotlight Curtis Williams is one of the top small forwards in the 2023 class.

Williams is a 6’6 forward who committed to Louisville in September. He is a versatile scorer who can fill it up from all three levels. Williams has especially become a knockdown shooter from the three-point line. He averaged just under 17 points and shot 40% from three last year for Brother Rice.

John Blackwell is the captain for Brother Rice. Blackwell is a 6’3 combo guard who is a sneaky good athlete. The Wisconsin commit, like Wiliams, is also an exceptional shooter from deep. He is also an unselfish playmaker who is still making progress and showing growth in this facet of his game. The duo of Blackwell and Williams will definitely make for one of the best teams in the state of Michigan.

Fort Bend Marshall (TX) Head Coach : Ronnie Courtney 2021-22 Record: 28-3

Player Spotlight Jaland Lowe is a 6’2 lefty point guard in the 2023 class that will be the guy for Fort Bend. The Pitt commit averaged over 25 points and four assists during his junior year and will look to put up more impressive numbers as a senior. Lowe is a savvy lead guard who can shoot the three ball and also facilitate at a high level. He has natural poise and seems to be in command whenever the ball is in his hands because of this. Though he may not be the biggest guard, he uses his craft, as well as his toughness, to prove his effectiveness on the court. Lowe made noticeable strides playing on the circuit this summer and will be looking to keep it rolling come the high school season.

Imani Christian (PA) Head Coach : Wan Wesley 2021-22 Record: 17-7 Player Spotlight Alier Maluk, the 27th ranked prospect in our rankings, will return to Imani Christian for his sophomore year. Maluk is a 6’10 power forward who is one of the best long-term prospects in the class. His combination of size, length, and skill on both ends is what makes him a top player and such a high upside prospect in the 2025 class. To be that size with that level of agility and mobility is always going to be of high value. He is an especially skilled shot blocker and also a fluid and efficient shooter. He plays the game hard and with a high-motor. Alier Maluk should have a big sophomore year for Imani Christian as he continues to develop as a prospect.

IMG Academy Post Grad (FL)

Player Spotlight Bryce Lindsay is the highlight for an IMG post grad program that has produced the likes of Anfernee Simons, KJ Martin, and Terrance Shannon Jr. Lindsay finished his high school career at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. A former South Carolina commit, Lindsay is being recruited by several high major programs. Texas A&M, West Virginia, and Mississippi State are all on the radar for the 6’3 combo guard. Lindsay is a steady guard that plays at his own pace and can shoot it with range. He is a natural scorer and his impressive shooting ability provides spacing whenever he is on the floor. He should excel during his stop at IMG as he prepares for the next level.

Dylan Harper, a 5-star recruit out of the class of 2024, had a huge summer with the NY Renaissance on the Nike EYBL circuit. That is where his recruitment really took off. Now having offers from schools such as Duke, Rutgers, Georgetown, Michigan, and others, Harper looks to lead Don Bosco Prep to a winning season in a tough New Jersey division. Harper is a lefty guard with all the tools. He can score, pass, and defend. He has such a matured style of play that translates to the next level. Harper can maneuver through defenses, finding the best shot for himself or a teammate. Overall, the sky's the limit for Harper and we believe that he will lead Don Bosco Prep to another winning season.

Newly ranked as a 5-star in the 2024 class, Dink Pate is a straight up competitor. It does not matter who is in front of him, Pate is going to go at them. Most of the time Pate is running the point guard position, which makes him one of the bigger point guards in the country. He is an excellent passer, always looking out for his teammates and trying to get them easy buckets. Pate is also a lethal scorer. He can make shots from the outside and can finish through contact. With Pate back in his home state of Texas, lookout for him to make some major noise.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian (OH) Head Coach : matt Dutch 2021-22 Record: 16-8

Darryn Peterson has the build of a NBA guard. With his long arms and broad shoulders, Peterson can score the ball easily night in and night out. He is comfortable handling the ball in the half or full court.

When Peterson gets downhill, it is hard to stop him from getting paint touches. Once he gets into the paint, he is great at finishing with craft around the rim. Ranked as a top five prospect in his class, Peterson will be out to prove that he is in the running for the number one player in his respected class.

Bartlesville (OK) Head Coach : Clent Stewart 2021-22 Record: 12-11 Player Spotlight

David Castillo is one of the smoothest prospects in the country. He is a microwave scorer who has an exceptional three-point shot. When David releases the ball, it looks like it is going to swish 90% of the time. He has a deep bag of shifty footwork and ball handling ability to create shooting space. He is just as good of a deep range shooter off the dribble as he is off the catch. In 41 games, David has already reached the 1,000-point club at Bartlesville High School. Inside the arc, Castillo has soft touch on his onefooted and two-footed floaters. There are not a lot of areas on the court where he is not a proficient scorer.

There are similarities to Darius Garland in terms of their scoring profile, but Castillo does not have as much wiggle as Garland (only a couple people in the world do). He will be able to go to any school that he likes, he has offers from everywhere and the list continues to grow by the day. Right now, some of his choices are: Florida, Gonzaga, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, LSU, Mizzou, Illinois, Baylor, Texas Tech, and several others.

Olympia (FL) Head Coach : Clent Stewart 2021-22 Record: 21-8

Jizzle James is an electric bucket-getter that is hard to contain. It all starts with his elite athleticism at his size. As the son of NFL star, Edgerrin James, Jizzle can thank his dad for some great genes and the knowledge of what it takes to get to the top. But to capitalize on those gifts, Jizzle needed to have an outstanding work ethic and drive to be great; and he has it. James can score at all three levels, and he is a stout guard who plays above the rim. He has great short-area quickness, and he is as physical as they come at the guard position. After graduating from Olympia, Jizzle will be heading to the University of Cincinnati to help the Bearcats become a tournament contender.

DeMatha Catholic (MD) Head Coach : mike jones 2021-22 Record: 22-7 Overview Over the last 50 years, very few high schools have seen the success that DeMatha Catholic has.

The program was built under legendary coach Morgan Wooten who won over 1,200 games in 46 seasons as head coach for the Staggs. Mike G. Jones III was hired in April, replacing Mike K. Jones, who is now an assistant at Virginia Tech. Mike K. Jones spent 19 seasons as the head coach after Wooten retired in 2002, winning over 500 games during this time. DeMatha’s NBA lineage is one of the deepest in the nation, including Adrian Dantley, Danny Ferry, Victor Oladipo, Jerami Grant, Markelle Fultz and more. The Staggs will look to continue this success in coach Jones’s first season with the program. There may be no blatant star for DeMatha this year, but they do possess a team of of who all will look to make major contributions.

Player Spotlight

Mason So will look to be one of the go-to guys for DeMatha this season. So is a transfer from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes and a UNC Greensboro commit. He stands at 6’2 and is a high IQ guard that plays the game with impressive poise. So is a capable three-level scorer who can play at multiple different paces. He’s an especially good shooter off the catch, has a smooth and fluid lefty release.

Jaden Winston will probably be the leader of this group. The 6’0 senior will be the floor general and coach on the court for DeMatha. He’s a blur in the open court and uses his speed to score easy baskets in transition. Winston does all the little things that you would want out of your point guard. 2024 forward Malcolm Thomas, son of former NBA pro Ethan Thomas, will also be an important piece for the Staggs.

Thomas is a 6’7 lefty four-man that plays with an extreme motor. He is explosive at the rim and uses his athleticism to be effective all across the court.

North Laurel (KY) Head Coach : Nathan Valentine 2021-22 Record: 28-6

Player Spotlight

6’3 senior guard and Kentucky commit Reed Sheppard will be the focal point for the Jaguars once again this season and will look to lead them to a state title. Reed is a dynamic player who can dribble, pass and shoot at an elite level. His greatest attribute is probably his shooting, but he is also very crafty with the ball in his hands and also a much better athlete than he is given credit for. I think he could see some time at the PG position in the future due to his high basketball IQ. Don’t be surprised if we get multiple 40 point performances from Mr. Sheppard this season as he tries to ride off into the sunset for his last high school season. .

Beaumont United (TX) Head Coach : David Green 2021-22 Record: 34-2

Player Spotlight

Recent Washington commit Wesley Yates returns to Beaumont United for his senior season, Looking to lead them to yet another state championship. Yates, a 5-star out of the 2023 class, is one of the best scorers in the country. Yates can shoot the ball as well as anyone in high school basketball. He has NBA range, which makes defenders have to pick him up the second he passes half court. Yates uses his strong build to create space from defenders on the perimeter and when attacking the basket. He has made strides in his athletic ability, now being a real threat above the rim. Yates can play off or on the ball.

When off the ball, he is great at getting his feet set and knocking down shots. When the ball is in his hands, he can simply make plays. Look out for Yates to have a big senior season.

Player Spotlight

2024 5-star wing Cam Scott will be the unspoken leader for this Wildcats group this season, as he has been for the past 2 seasons. At 6’7, there isn’t much that Cam can’t do on the floor. He has a smooth jumper out to NBA range, a very impressive and tight handle at his size, and the feel and IQ to make the right play for either himself or others. His long wingspan gives him the tools to be very elite defender as well, whenever he is engaged. His potential is through the roof and is the type of player that can will a team to victories and maybe even a state title. He will have some help this season though with the addition of freshman guard Kaleb Evans. .

Little Rock Central (AR) Head coach: Brian Ross

Annor Boateng is a 5-star wing in the class of 2024 and will be the leader for the Tigers this season. He has an incredible motor and uses it to out hustle and out muscle his opponents. At 6’5, he is an elite athlete who is relentless on the glass and lives in transition. Don’t underestimate his perimeter scoring though, because his jumper comes out very clean and he can make shots with the best of them in his class. Definitely a player that could very well lead his team to a state championship due to his infectious behavior of just playing as hard as he possibly can every minute on the floor. .

Pewaukee (WI) Head coach: David Burkemper 2021-22 Record: 29-3

Player Spotlight Milan Momcilovic is the star of this Pewaukee team and will shoulder the load for the Pirates this season. A lot of people have compared him to Dirk Nowitzki, because of the pace that he plays with and his size. At 6’8, Milan can dribble, pass and shoot at a high level. He loves to work the midpost with one-legged fades and one dribble pull-ups. If he is doubled, he has the awareness to make the correct pass out of a double team. He can also handle it well in the open floor, which allows him to grab rebounds and start fast breaks. One of the more skilled forwards in his class, he has the ability to take over games and impact winning at a high rate.

Mater Dei (CA) Head Coach : Gary McKnight 2021-22 Record: 26-5 Overview

Mater Dei’s rich tradition cannot be denied. Under coach Gary McKnight, Mater Dei has won a National Championship in 2013-14, 11 State Titles, 16 Southern California Regional Titles, 23 CIF-SS Titles, and 39 League Titles in 40 seasons at the helm. After a loss to Bishop Montgomery in the CIF SoCal Regional a season ago, national powerhouse Mater Dei will look to add on to their legacy in the 2022-23 season.

Player Spotlight 2024 guard Scotty Belnap will lead the way for the Monarchs. Belnap is a 6’5 shooting guard known for being an elite shooter from the outside. He has deep range with an ultra smooth release. He is great off the catch and coming off screens, but also knows how to get his shot off of attacking a close out.

Belnap is also athletic and agile enough to finish at the rim off straight line drives. He is currently being recruited by schools like BYU and Utah State.
