Ferrari of Vancouver’s Brian Ross wins Best of Show at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and receives the winner’s watch, a unique 1815 Chronograph by A. Lange & Söhne.

Drawing some of the finest classic cars in the world to Lake Como, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este has returned, after a year-long hiatus. For the first time, however, the winner of the Concorso d’Eleganza’s prestigious ‘Best of Show’ title has been awarded a pièce unique from German watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne.

Handing over the winner’s special 1815 Chronograph was A. Lange & Söhne CEO Wilhelm Schmid, who presented the timepiece to Ferrari of Vancouver’s Brian Ross for his exemplary 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France. A favourite of both

the Concorso d’Eleganza’s expert panel and the public, the 250 GT Tour de France is just one of many extraordinary Ferraris in Ross’s collection –some of which are on display in Ferrari of Vancouver’s impressive showroom. Bringing, for their part, some of the finest watchmaking in the world to the exclusive automotive event, A. Lange & Söhne’s unique whitegold 1815 Chronograph featured a solid pink-gold dial and a hand-engraved hinged cuvette. “Cars represent freedom and independence – watches symbolize the preciousness of time. That is why they hold equal fascination for us. In choosing the 1815 Chronograph as the new winner’s watch, we were also guided by the historic link between motor sport and timekeeping, ” said Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid.
