Sometime this week, I’m celebrating 12 years at the chamber. I want to thank the Board of Directors who hired me, for giving me the opportunity to grow in the position (in those early days) and their support in moving the organization in it’s current direction. The job has been quite challenging…and very rewarding, but I can’t think of a better way to spend our resources than working with our members to identify solutions to their issues. We have accomplished a great deal and much to be proud, but our work is not completed. A Workforce Timeline can be found at this link

I have met so many good and capable people and have been very fortunate to work closely with many of you, thank you. I’d like to thank all the people we have worked with to get us where we are today.

Our Annual Chamber Golf Outing is scheduled for June 12, 2025 at Shaker Run Golf Club. We ask you to consider inviting a client to enjoy the day on this challenging and picturesque course.

The Rising Storm

You can’t prepare for a storm if you don’t know it’s coming.

The US faces a shortfall of millions of workers in the decade to come. Workforce strategies need to adapt, but if you don’t know what changes lie in store, you can’t know what changes to make in response.

The disruption ahead is like a hurricane. TheRisingStormoutlines a few items to consider, providing insight on when the storm will arrive.

The news is not comforting the most acute shortages of workers will arrive in under a decade, primarily in the next five years, and the industries hardest hit are among those our society relies on most, including healthcare and construction.

Passport To Tomorrow

Students took flight into the world of public service at the 2nd Annual Heroes Day at Lunken Airport last week!

From the U.S. Army, Navy, Space Force and Coast Guard to the Cincinnati Police and Fire Departments and the Civil Air Patrol, students met real-life heroes!

Hosted by Adopt A Class, the inspiring event gave students a firsthand look at careers in the military and first responder fields.
