The Force Of Your Seed

The word force can be dened as strength, power, energy, efcacy, validity, inuence, vehemence, violence or coercion.

In this article, I want to show you that your seed has a force or power.

progressively, they give the same amount year in year out. Such people are habitual but not progressive givers.

God wants you to be both habitual and progressive in your giving.

potency and force. It is so powerful that it can inuence your tomorrow. The economy may be bad but it does not have to affect you because you are a sower.

1 Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years”.

2 So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God, and she went with her household and dwelt in the land of the Philistines seven years.

3 It came to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines; and she went to make an appeal to the king for her house and for her land.

4 Then the king talked with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me, please, all the great things Elisha has done”.

5 Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life”.

6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed a certain ofcer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers and all the proceeds of the eld from the day that she left the land until now”.

2 Kings 8: 1-6

Let us look at three things your seed can do for you.

One of the ways your seed can affect your tomorrow occurs when God tells you beforehand what tomorrow will be.

There are times He may not tell you, and He will just orchestrate things in your favour. By doing so, He just allows you to sleep, so you don't have to bother about it. This is because you may not have the maturity to handle it. God may also decide to tell you step by step like He did with this woman. God just lets you sleep and by the time you wake up, it is settled because if you don't sleep, you can't receive. Sleep denotes a state of rest. Panic reveals fear and fear cannot receive from God. God put Adam to sleep and by the time he woke up, Eve was right beside him. Your seed has a force and what you sow, you will reap (Galatians 6:7-9).

From our text, you will see that a seed does not have any strength except it is sown. Note that it is the same woman who had sown by perception or discernment into the life of the man of God (2 Kings 4:8-37). She discerned that he was a holy man of God and sowed habitually and progressively into his life. Some people do not give

Your Seed Inuences Your future The woman in our text sowed into the life of Elisha and when there was to be a famine in the land, God told Elisha to go and tell her what was about to happen.

This is a good example of how your seed can inuence your future. People sometimes say things like, “Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring”. That is a half-truth and it is dangerous. In this woman's case, there was going to be a calamity, in the form of a famine situation but the Bible also says that God cannot be mocked because whatever a man sows today, he will reap tomorrow (Galatians 6:7). You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can begin to inuence your tomorrow, and the way you do that is through your seed.

You may have lived in poverty as I did in the past, but your poor situation can change, especially when you understand the force of your seed. You also need to sow your seed habitually and progressively. When you do that, you have the guarantee for your tomorrow. When you sow your seeds of words of healing into your life, you secure your tomorrow. Your seed has

Your Seed Creates Opportunities For You Another thing that your seed does is that it creates opportunities for you. An opportunity is an occasion that brings about limitless possibilities. In verses 3-5 of our text, the Bible says that the king was sitting on his throne one day and the invisible realm was stirred. The invisible realm controls the visible realm. The king began to ask questions about Elisha the man of God. God by His almightiness was orchestrating things

and Gehazi began to tell the king how Elisha restored a woman's son and while the story was being told, God ordered the steps of the woman to be at the king's house then when Gehazi was narrating her story. Her seed had created that opportunity for her. God was saying to the woman, “You have sown in tears, you have sown habitually and progressively. I want to create opportunities for limitless possibilities for you”. Someone may say, “It is just luck”. There is no such thing as luck.

This woman had been prepared for more than seven years by the force of her seed and her preparation collided with the opportunity of the king asking about her. God orchestrates the opportunity but you have to be prepared to take advantage of it by the force of your seed.

God is the One who sets a table before you in the presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5). A table signies limitless opportunities but it is left to you to choose what you want. When you sow habitually and progressively, you prepare yourself for blessings that go beyond what the mind can comprehend.

Your Seed Will Bring You Restoration 6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed a certain ofcer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers and all the proceeds of the eld from the day that she left the land until now”.

2 Kings 8: 6

God creates opportunities for you so that He can restore all things to you.

25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you”.

Joel 2:25

All those things that were mentioned are different stages of the same insect. I read from a book that these different stages of the insect in question, eat different parts of a plant. One eats the root, the other eats the stem, the leaf and the locust eats everything in sight. Whatever your case, God says He will restore you irrespective of the damage that has taken place. Some crises may have attacked your roots, whichever part the enemy attacks you from, God says that

He will restore you. The Bible says that there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease (Job 14:7), so even if the devil decides to attack your root where you thought your grip was rm or where you have your hope and faith to devour it: God says that even there, He will restore you.

I used to be so poor but thank God that as I began to apply the seed principle, my story changed. God restored me from the root. Now I am rmly rooted, established in the counsel of the living God and my tree is blossoming but it has only just begun. What He has done in my life, He will do in your life because He is no respecter of any person. God will restore you from the root and that will be the beginning of your progress in the name of Jesus. You may look at yourself and say, “Nothing is happening to me”, but the truth is that something is happening; it has begun from the root. You might not see the fruit yet, you might not see the stem yet, it might be submerged in water, nobody is seeing you, but your root is being taken care of because that is the nature of God's restoration. You may also have been sowing seeds and working hard; God has been your priority, yet it looks like nothing is happening. There is restoration and it has begun. It has already started underneath where it matters most. Keep receiving the undiluted Word of God and taking steps of faith.

Realise that God restores you so that He can multiply you. The woman was told to go out of Israel because there was going to be a famine. God knew and the

prophet of God knew that the time of famine is the time of devastation, but when the woman came back after the famine, the king said to restore to her all that she would have lost to the famine.

The New Living Translation says to restore to her what was harvested in that land (2 Kings 8:6). This means that amid the famine, people were still planting their seed but because it was famine, it affected most of the people. This woman's land was also used for farming in the time of famine and it produced. If it didn't produce, the king would not have said to give her every fruit that came from her land at that time. We also read that the woman cried out to the king. This means that the king in those days took over people's land, particularly those who ran away because they are considered as deviants.

When God is orchestrating things for you, kings wouldn't have time to think about set rules. The king was inspired by the miracles that happened to her that he returned her land to her with its harvest.

That is the nature of God. He multiplies seed sown (2 Corinthians 9: 8-10).

Another example of God's nature of multiplication is Hannah's story (1 Samuel 1: 26-28). Hannah was barren; she went through so much anguish and agony before she could have Samuel.

She made a vow to God to give the child back to Him as seed and she kept her promise to God. Thereafter, God visited her and she conceived and bore ve children; three sons and two daughters (1 Samuel 2:20-22). The number, ve, is the number of grace. Grace gives you things in abundance and causes things to multiply unto you (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Hannah lent her child to God and God ensured that her quiver was full of children in return. God is a rewarder. He will so multiply you until you get the best there is, because of the covenant.

God conrms His covenant when you experience multiplication. Understanding this key makes giving very thrilling and you will, in turn, release the power, force and potency in your seed.
