Three Great Laws Of
Expectation Pastor Charles Omofomah
Key 1: Relationship Matters 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will 7ind; knock, and it

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks 7inds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
Relationship is a right to expectation. Notice Jesus did not say, “which man” or “whose wife…” because as far as He was concerned, the man and his wife are one. The next most intimate relationship that can

begging, “Oh God, please give me a child.” It is only wicked fathers that Matthew 7:7-12
A law de7ines that under certain circumstances, certain things will happen in a particular way. “Expectation” refers to a state of expecting or what is being expected. So, to expect means to think of as likely to happen, or come soon. When we talk about being expectant, we use this term for pregnant people who are expectant of their babies! There is the knowledge that something will happen soon.
do that, and even wicked fathers won’t do that in front of guests. In the book of Galatians it says if you are a son, you are an heir. It doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman. An heir is one who has a right to the father’s possession. Healing is the children’s bread. Fruitfulness is your right! In case you are not sure of it, this explains it, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him” (Matthew 7:11).
Expectation is practically demonstrated when you believe, because
I wish that you will relate with God as a Father and not as one distant
what you expect is what you get. When I read our text, I saw a new
being. Children who are really fond of their fathers will come and put
light to it and I got really fascinated. What the devil does to those trusting God for something is sow the thought doubt, “What if it

doesn’t happen?” Tell him, “I’m expectant. What if it happens?” One of the words that describe expectation or to expect is the word “assume.” This is one occasion where you are allowed to assume. Assume that it will happen and not otherwise. When the Bible says you should ask, seek and knock in verse 7, there is just one common denominator there, which is expectation. With those verses of Scripture, we often think that the keys there are the words ask, knock or seek. Yes they are keys, but when you go down to verse 9, that is where the real keys are, and those are the laws I want to emphasize.
Key 2: Good Gifts Only The Scripture in Matthew 7:11 says, “If you then, being evil…” Another translation puts it as “…hard-hearted parents.” Expect only good things from your Father. My Father is not a giver of miscarriage because miscarriage is not a good thing. My Father is not a giver of stillbirth because stillbirth is not a good thing. My Father is not a giver of 7ibroids because 7ibroids is not a good thing. My Father is not a giver of infertility because being infertile is not a good thing. God doesn’t humble you with childlessness and infertility.
