Repositioning Yourself For
Unusual Miracles (Part 2) Pastor Nkechi Ene (Mrs.)
21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed”. 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us”. 24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel”. 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me”! 26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs”. 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table”. 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire”. And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:21-28
examined two potential causes of distraction, which are being ignored and being considered a nuisance. These can get one really offended. In this article, we will consider other potential distractions, as well as what you must do to be rightly positioned for your unusual miracle.
You Must Refuse Any Form Of Distraction (Contd.) The third opportunity for offence the Syro-Phoenician woman faced was when Jesus answered the disciples and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24). In other words, Jesus was telling them that He was on a schedule that does not include anyone who was not a Jew. Those who weren’t Jews
24 From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden. 25 For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be Zilled Zirst, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs”. 28 And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs”. 29 Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter”. 30 And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed. Mark 7:24-30
In the previous article, we looked at two things you must know if you are to reposition yourself to receive unusual miracles from God. We found out that God is not moved by the severity of your case and that neither emotional nor spiritual blackmail moves God. God is only
were to wait for their turn, after His death. That is when people like Apostle Paul would minister to them. As at that time, He had been scheduled to minister to the Jew, so she had to wait. The Syro-Phoenician woman could have gotten offended, but the Bible records that “She came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me” (Matthew 15:25). I believe she must have held onto Jesus’ feet where she fell and said, “I will not let You go. I won’t be offended, I won’t be distracted.” I also believe that in that place of worship, that place of humility, she realised that blackmail would not work, and that humility allows you to make a change. So, she worshipped Him and persevered. The last offence would have been when Jesus replied her saying, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs” (Matthew 15:26). She could have taken offence since Jesus practically called her a dog. Assuming that as a pastor, during a counselling session with a member of my congregation; I call the
