RESURRECTION NUGGETS Pastor Charles Omofomah

The Bible is lled with a lot of resurrection stories and in this article, we will be using one of such stories to learn some resurrection nuggets.

25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

John 11:25-26 Resurrection means to bring back from the dead, to revive from a state of death to a state of life. Nuggets, according to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary is a small lump of a valuable metal or mineral, specially gold found in the earth. It also means a small thing such as an idea or fact that people think of as valuable. As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are also celebrating the resurrection life that we have in Him. 20 Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year.

21 So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.

2 Kings 13:20-21

God said this about Jesus even after His death that He is a Man that was

approved of miracles, signs and wonders. In other words, God was saying, “Look, I anointed this Man”.

Even Elisha was so anointed that his bones raised somebody from the dead.

The rst nugget I want to show you is that :

Resurrection Takes You From Death To Life Resurrection takes you from a point of death to a point of life. Death, as far as life is concerned, is a state of hopelessness, inactivity, lifelessness, and unproductivity but even if you or anything that concerns you is in this state, there is room for resurrection. In any area of your life where death reigns now, I'd like you to know that the good news is: there is room for the resurrection power of God. Is your business going down? Is your marriage in jeopardy, and you have looked at it all round and there doesn't seem to be any hope? It just needs the infusion of resurrection life with your cooperation, and everything will change for the better. Death is the most hopeless and lowest part that any man, or anything can get to as far as this earth is concerned but not with the resurrection.

Thank God for resurrection, however, it has no meaning if everything around us is dead, but even as you are reading this article, life will come again into every

dead situation in your life in the name of Jesus! You will get “high” on resurrection life. Not on booze or on cocaine. The end result for any other kind of “high” is sadness, frustration and even death but when you get “high” on the resurrection life, beyond the sky becomes your limit. In fact, the sky becomes your stepping stone.

Those who knew you in your former state, when they see you now, they will not be able to recognize you. This is only the beginning, and the end of your matter will indeed be far better than your beginning. If God spared not His best, His only begotten Son, what else will He not freely give unto you? It's yours! Poverty is a curse, it's not for you. You are the blessed of the Lord.

You are empowered to prosper.

Therefore, anything you touch will prosper in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Resurrection Turns Mourning Into Joy The Bible says, “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream” (Psalm 126:1). Do you know what I love about that portion of Scripture? It says and the heathen; the unbelievers who don't even understand the things of God will see, the people who were blind will see that these people have been blessed of the Lord and they will say that God has been good to them. That is why they rejoice.

It is time to rejoice because He has turned your mourning into dancing.

Resurrection power will make you shed tears of joy. When others are crying, “Why me?” for evil, you will cry, “Why me?” for good, because you are empowered to prosper. It is time to celebrate your conquest of every dead situation. This is not just the time to say, “I will celebrate my God”, no! This is the time to celebrate your Lord.

Celebrate Him and victory and triumph will be yours.

Resurrection Occurs By The Release Of The Anointing Elisha’s bones were soaked with the anointing of God and this brought about the resurrection of a dead man. It is not everything that is in the realm of the supernatural or any spectacular thing that is the act of God. Everything that is the act of God must fall in line with the Word of God. That is the acid test. Some pastors shake and say all sorts of things. Meanwhile, they neither saw nor heard anything. All those things are nonsense. In fact, they really do not have to sound so super spiritual. They talk that way because they think they can mimic God. Have you ever imagined that God speaks that way? God does not talk that way.

Therefore, it doesn't matter how much you shake, or how many mimics you do. God uses the personality of a man and a good pastor will maintain his personality. If you are a gentle man, you will do it gently.

In Revelations 12:10, the Bible talks about Satan, the accuser of the brethren and that when he speaks lie, he speaks his native language because it is sweet from his mouth (John 8:44). What I have brought to you is the truth: Jesus, the way, the truth and the life, and He is here to give you life.

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Romans 8:11

The anointing of God is not distant from you. The Bible says that if the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you; that means that rstly, that spirit dwells in you and secondly, that same spirit will give life to your mortal body and make sure every negative situation melts away like wax from your life. The anointing of God in your life gives you an instant infusion of resurrection power. One way to keep it alive is by speaking in tongues. When you do that, you stir up from the inside, the anointing from within you.

You Have An Input To Make The man that was raised by the bones of Elisha did not just lie there. The Bible says, he stood on his feet. This simply means that you have an input to make.

God is not moved by the problem of this world, God is moved by faith. God does not meet you at your point of need, He meets you at your point of faith. No matter how long the problem has lasted, God will always be there and those who will move Him by faith, He will come strong on their behalf. The Bibles says in 2 Chronicles 16:9 that the eyes of the Lord goes to and fro searching for those who He would be strong on their behalf. God wants to be strong on your behalf. All you have to do is move by faith and take that which belongs to you. Even when they say you can't have it or nobody of your stature, age or level of education has ever gotten it, realise that your case is different. Your case is not different just because you are born again but because

you are walking by faith. You have an input to make.

If you don't get anything from reading this article, get that you have an input to make. Even during church services, the power of God moves like wild re and only those who key into the anointing get delivered because, God will always move by His Spirit. Key into the anointing.

At the tomb of Lazarus, after Jesus had raised him from the dead, He said, “Loose him and let him go” (John 11:44).

To “go” is a sign of progress. I want to announce to you that with the resurrection life, you are free to make progress in life again, free to live again.

Free to advance, free to achieve your dreams again. Some of you have given up on your dreams, pick them up, it is time to live life again more abundantly. Jesus, when He was raised from the dead, didn't just stop there. He went to heaven to present His blood; to drop His blood at the mercy seat. This tells me that Jesus is a nisher and as His children, we must be nishers as well. There are people who never nish anything. They put their hands into a project, and half way through it, they abandon it and start giving excuses. Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7 said, I've fought a good ght. I have not only fought a good ght, I have nished my race. Resurrection power wants you to nish whatever race you have began.

God is not a God of half measures. He says give and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over (Luke 6:38).

He is a running over God and like Him, we are running over children.

The only thing you are allowed to turn away from, or turn back from is when you are on a wrong course. If you are on a wrong way, there is no way you will ever get to your destination. It's time to achieve your heart desires. Be a nisher, and stay on course.
