Repositioning Yourself For

Unusual Miracles (Part 1) Pastor Nkechi Ene (Mrs.) In this article, we will be looking at the miracle of the healing of the Syro-Phonecian woman’s daughter. We will see how she repositioned herself to receive her unusual miracle. You will learn how you too can reposition yourself to receive your own unusual miracle. 21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed”. 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us”. 24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel”. 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me”! 26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs”. 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table”. 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire”. And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:21-28 24 From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden. 25 For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be [illed [irst, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs”. 28 And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs”. 29 Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter”. 30 And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed. Mark 7:24-30

In this story, we see that the Syro-Phonecian woman came to talk to Jesus. Initially, she was not in faith; unlike the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8: 43-48), who also had heard about Jesus and came out to meet Him in faith. This was not the case with the Syro-Phoenician woman because Jesus will never ignore someone who comes to Him in faith. She knew that Jesus can heal her daughter like many people know that God is able to heal, but you need to know that God can heal you for you to receive your miracle. You need to reposition yourself by faith to know that God is not only able to heal you, He is also willing and has made healing available in the [inished work of Christ. The Syro-Phonecian woman had to reposition herself in faith to receive her unusual miracle. We will learn from some of the things that she did.

God Is Not Moved By The Severity Of Your Case The [irst thing you need to know in order to be properly positioned to receive your unusual miracle is that God is not necessarily moved by the severity of your case. The woman’s daughter was in a bad shape. The Bible says that her daughter was severely demon possessed. The Ampli[ied Bible describes her daughter’s condition this way: 22 And a Canaanite woman from that district came out and began to cry out [urgently], saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David (Messiah); my daughter is cruelly possessed by a demon”. Matthew 15:22

That is a severe case of someone being demon possessed. However, the Bible says that Jesus answered her not a word. This is because she was not in faith. When you say to God, “Lord, don’t You know how long I’ve been married without children? The pain is too much”, Jesus will not answer you because you are blackmailing Him. When you don’t get a response, you say, “No, this can’t be the compassionate Jesus”. The Scripture says that Jesus answered her not a word. Jesus will always ignore
