In this portion of Scripture, there are so many powerful things and if you go on to read that chapter and the next, there are so many amazing things that happened but I’ll just stop with those three verses. It says Ezekiel was in captivity but the heavens were opened up to him, and the minute the heavens opened up to him, things began to happen.

There are three major things that happened to him because of the opened heavens.

“The sun is shining, the darkness is over, the heavens are open, His goodness is pouring and His favour is rising.” These were the prophetic words that God sent us towards the end of 2017. The full import of those words have not really settled but I believe God is going to make them even clearer as He leads us into what He has in store for us in 2018. Those words were obviously a precursor or a preview of what God had in store for you and I in 2018.

The next thing that happened to Ezekiel was that he expressly heard the Word of the living God. The visions of God are revelations while the Word of the Lord are declarations. 2018 will be a year of not just prophetic declarations over your life; it will be a year where you will make declarations yourself. I prophesy to you that you will be silent no more in 2018.
