In the previous article, we looked at the story of the spies Joshua sent to Jericho before the walls crashed in Joshua chapter 2. We will continue from there as God’s Spirit teaches us further.

There were covenant people (some of the children of Israel) who couldn’t enter the next move of God. If you don’t respect something, you can never attract that thing. Some may not say it out but their attitude is in rebellion, so all kinds of things begins to happen to them because they are opposed to what God is doing.

You must be sensitive to know what God is doing in the now and protect it with your life; doing that is living by faith.

What that simply tells us is that the others perished; but by faith Rahab signed a covenant, receiving a promise that she and her household will not be killed when the time came. Why did she do that? She already knew what God would do and that if she sided with it, she would live.

The Iirst time was when Rahab said the gate was locked; the second was when those pursuing the spies were let out, because they had to open the gates for them, after which it was shut. The gate was shut because the spies were working with the purpose of God and Rahab understood the purpose of God and sided with it. Notice that the shut gate could not stop them.

There is no opposition hatched out from the pit of hell that can stop God’s work when you are in sync with the Spirit of God. As you keep being in sync with the Spirit of God, there is no demon hatched out from hell that can hinder you. There is no austerity, no wagging tongue that should stop you. Know what you are doing, have an acute understanding of what God wants you to do and you are pursuing it, no shut gate will stop you.
