DARE TO HAVE More Than Enough!

(Part 1)

God's agenda for you as a child of God where your finances are concerned is key to having more than enough. Too many Christians do not have enough. Some think they have more than enough, but the more than enough I am talking about is the one measured by God’s standard. He is Elshaddai, the God that is more than enough. In this article, I am going to show you some pointers that will challenge you to dare to have more than enough. Make up your mind as you read this article to take up the challenge; to enter into what God has in store for you.

35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses, and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: 36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

Fund The Gospel The first trigger to having more than enough is to fund the gospel. Some people get very uncomfortable when you talk to them about money. Some, appear to be very 'spiritual' or too 'spiritual' to talk about money. People that think this way don't know that God wants them to have more than enough, and why He wants them to have more than enough. Before Jesus Christ ascended, He asked us to go into all the world and preach the gospel which is also called the great commission.

We are to have a passion for souls and the foundation of the great commission is Christ. Jesus Christ came, so that we can have the great commission but something that excites me also is that the foundation of the success of the great commission is money. People are getting born again because Christ died on the cross for their sins and He was resurrected from the grave for their justification, but many people are going to hell because there is no money to send the gospel to them.

When you find yourself uncomfortable with prosperity because you are so ‘spiritual’ and religious, it means you

don't have a passion for souls.

Somebody who has a passion for souls understands that the foundation of the great commission is money.

The Bible says in Romans 10:13, “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved’”, and Paul begins to ask a question. He goes from the very last thing down to the foundation. He says, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? …” (Romans 10:14-15a). That's the foundation.

The great commission broken down is Christ saying, “Bring the money, so we can send people to preach, so the unbelievers can hear, believe, and be able to call upon the Name of the Lord, and be saved.

It doesn't matter how spiritual you are; without money, there is no great commission. Can you dare to have more than enough, or are you satisfied to have just enough or not enough all your life? The Bible tells us that when the children of Israel were

to leave Egypt, God told them to collect gold, silver, etc. They did, and the Bible says they spoiled the Egyptians.

The Israelites took everything; the Egyptians were so stunned by the plagues that had come upon them that they gave everything. Now the children of Israel who were slaves for many years collected these treasures and matched into the wilderness.

In the wilderness, there was no big electronic shop for them to buy from; there were no designers' boutiques for them to buy clothes. There were no cars for them to buy. So they were carrying all the silver and gold and there was nowhere to spend it. Why then did God give it to them? God even provided so much food for them; He gave them manna, and He gave them quails. He also made sure their shoes did not wear out, So there was no need to buy shoes. He provided for them, from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet. He gave them an air conditioner in the form of the cloud that moved with them. He gave them everything, but they had silver and gold.

They became confused, "All this money Lord, and there's nothing to do with it?" They matched into the wilderness, and God said, “Now, you will build Me a house”. Their needs had been met, but they still had all the silver and all the gold with them.

The reason why God gave them great wealth of silver and gold was because He needed a dwelling place. He said, “Build Me an ark, build Me a dwelling place”.

When they crossed the red sea, Miriam was singing, she said, “I will build Thee a habitation”. They began

to see that why they were carrying all that wealth was to build a dwelling place where Jehovah would reside.

That is why the ark was carefully built, with the wealth of the wicked the wealth that came from the Egyptians.

dwelling place for Him. In this dispensation, God's dwelling place is within you, the church, or the believer. When you recognise that, you will step out in faith to give to godly projects and the gospel thereby prioritizing the kingdom, thus setting yourself up for more than enough.

Prioritize The Kingdom The second thing you need to do to have more than enough is to prioritize the kingdom. When you give to your local assembly, you are building God a habitation, and a dwelling place. When you give to your man of God, you are building the ark. When you give to a television

Can you imagine the frustration of having silver and gold and nowhere to spend it? For some Christians, when little money comes into their hands, they race off to spend it. The reason God gave the Israelites the wealth of the wicked, was to build Him an ark. When we talk about sowing, some people say, “Lord, I don't have enough and my needs need to be met. I don't have enough; my son just got into college. I just have enough, my wife lost her job, so I need to set up a standard supermarket for her. I need to pay my rent”.

or a radio station that is preaching the Word, you are building the ark. When you give to the great commission, you are building the ark. Can you dare to have more than enough? That is why God gave wealth to the Israelites, so that the people can build the ark.

When you feel that you don't have enough, remember the story of the widow of Zarephath. The Lord had spoken to her because the Lord told Elijah, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you” (1 Kings 17:9). So, the woman knew that she was to sustain Elijah.

They had come to realize that with or without their money, Jehovah could take care of them. You have to get to a point where you realise that Jehovah shall provide for you; when you have money and when you don't. The money you have is not what makes Him provide for you. He can provide for you with or without your money, but the reason why you should be prosperous is so you can provide a

God is more eager for you to have more than enough than you are. His resources for His children can never be depleted or exhausted. Dare to have more than enough and step out of the realm of lack or just enough.
