Springers - The Biker Bar Destination

April 16th, 2020 a new bar opened at 405 Rocky Knoll Road in Greensboro, NC. Jeff Schmid, the owner, went through a lot of paper and red tape to open during a pandemic, but he succeeded. Springers purple theme color and the logo spring is for Jeff’s brother Christopher Schmid who has passed. All the charity work they do for veterans is in honor of Jeff’s other brother, 36 year Retired Lt. Col. James Schmid. Jeff’s parents, James and Marlene Schmid, get credit for influencing his drive for fundraising and giving back to community. Jeff vowed to use his venue to help out the community and has worked with Triad Honor Flight, American Legion Post 853, The Elks Lodge 602 in Greensboro, a family that lost everything in a fire, and Double D Burnout Saloon in Kernersville to help out The Toys for Tots,

Jeff attributes his success to his staff. He says, “You are only as good as the people that represent you. Thanks to Crystal Purcell, Maggie Honeycutt, Courtney Johnson, Heather Moran, Joe Davis, Josh Stone, Ralph Childress and George Fenn.”

This spacious biker paradise has a beautiful U shaped bar to belly up to with seating for 18 people. There are 7 pool tables with plenty of room in between tables to make your shot. There are also a few tables away from the bar with additional seating for 50 people with a great view of the live music stage. If the live music gets you tappin’ your toes you might want to cut a rug on the 18 x 24 dance floor! There is even a side room to throw cornhole in side! Springers Bar has tables outside as well, with seating for around 24 folks. With the summer warmth coming up you can always chill on the front porch and watch the bikes roll in. They have tested the limit of the semi-private parking lot and know they can park at least 150 motorcycles out front!

Springers Bar is open 7 days a week! Monday through Thursday from 2pm-Midnight (minimum) with Bike Night on Tuesday, Karaoke on Wednesday, and Cornhole on Thursday. Friday and Saturday Noon-2am with live music. Sunday is for riding! The bar is open noon-midnightw (minimum), with a ride in the afternoon that returns to Springers for food and live music!

Jeff Schmid has put a lot of effort in making Springers a place to just pop in and have a drink or come by and hang out. There is never a lack of interesting people and conversation. So, pop in anytime, and enjoy what Jeff likes to call “Recess With Alcohol”!

With Myrtle Beach Bike Rally coming May 7th-16th, Jeff said anyone wearing a Springers shirt at Pilot House in Little River on Friday, May 14th from 4-6pm is on his tab!
