Construction Starts £7.9m Specialist Care Home in Bishop Auckland

Exemplar Health Care a leading provider of specialist nursing care for adults living with complex needs has begun on-site construction for its new £7 9m specialist care home in Bishop Auckland County Durham The home was delivered by Yorkshire-based S&SA architects and contractor Walter Thompson

Construction started at the new home in June 2023 ing provides a more homely supportive and responsive care environment – and each of the 32 bedrooms will have its own ensuite wet room

Additionally, the home will feature six apartments, split across the three communities which are specially designed for adults who are ready to live more independently, while also knowing that specialist healthcare support remains available around the clock

The home will also have communal dining and living spaces sensory bathrooms an activities hub a large accessible garden and a dedicated therapy room offering holistic therapeutic care and support led by the in-home Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist
