I always wanted Mayfield to be a neighborhood restaurant that brought new flavors and ingredients to the community, so to be recognized in our short time of being open by the SJC locals is fantastic!” says owner and operator George Barker.

Given that the restaurant sources much of its fresh produce from The Ecology Center, it’s not a surprise Mayfield has been a hit with vegans since opening in August. The coaching also individualizes every workout for each member.“Even though it’s in a group setting, they’re all getting an individual workout that’s specific to their abilities and fitness level,” he explains. The training sessions, he adds, are also focused on balance, building muscle and then adding strength. SILVER HORSESHOE

Mission San Juan Capistrano offers a window into the days of old California. Visitors come to glimpse the historic structures and enjoy the lush gardens. “It’s a great honor to have the support of the locals. Recognition like this of the Mission San Juan Capistrano’s importance to the community reminds everyone that the landmark is the heart of this community and that the residents truly care about living in a mission town,” says Executive Director Mechelle Lawrence Adams.
