sponsor packet 2020
Dear Friends, Thank you for considering a sponsorship opportunity with The Cancer Foundation. We look forward to partnering with you to serve cancer patients and their families in northeast Georgia. A cancer diagnosis can be devastating news for anyone, and for many it also impacts the entire household as bill after bill starts to add up. The average cost of cancer is $30,310 which is more than many can afford, even for those fortunate enough to have private insurance. The Cancer Foundation’s Financial Assistance Program is available to eligible patients throughout a 19-county area to help ease this financial burden. We raise funds annually to meet the needs of hundreds of patients seeking our assistance through this program. Our special events give the community multiple opportunities to come together in support of cancer patients. Your sponsorship will help make these occasions possible! With thanks,

Cocktails Cocktails is The Cancer Foundation's spring fundraiser. Begun in 2009, Cocktails has raised a total of $650,600 for TCF's Financial Assistance Program. The 2020 Cocktails will take place in February and we expect over 500 attendees. This event includes live and silent auctions, wine pop, liquor raffle and restaurant raffle. Highlights from this past year's silent auction were a catered dinner with the UGA football coaching staff, a trip to Cabo San Lucas, a golf experience to Ocean's Forest, and tickets to see Elton John. memories at the matinee Join TCF in June 2020 to celebrate Cancer Survivor Month! The inaugural patient event, Memories at the Matinee, is a special event for the patients we serve, along with their friends and family. Our patients and their special guests will be treated to a matinee movie at a local theater, along with refreshments and a printed photo keepsake. A cancer diagnosis imposes an urgent and financially devastating burden on a family, and through the Memories at the Matinee event we hope to provide a financially free moment of normalcy and enjoyment for those who are enduring a time that is anything but normal.

About The Cancer Foundation Who We Are
The Cancer Foundation is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance for basic life needs like housing, utilities, food and medications. The ultimate goal of The Cancer Foundation is to provide emergency monetary assistance to cancer patients living in northeast Georgia.
Our Mission
The Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help alleviate the financial burden of cancer for eligible patients.
Our Vision
To eradicate the financial hardship for all northeast Georgia residents who are diagnosed with cancer.
Why We Were FoundedÂ
The physicians of University Cancer & Blood Center, LLC founded The Cancer Foundation in 2005 after treating a growing number of patients in need of financial assistance. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family suffers, not just emotionally, but also financially. Thus, the Financial Assistance Program helps alleviate a cancer patient’s immediate financial crisis and the debilitating stress that stems from their diagnosis. The Cancer Foundation wants to improve the quality of life for cancer patients living in our community.
