In footage captured on cellphone video from across the street, Blake walks from the sidewalk to the front of his SUV to the driver-side door as shouting officers follow him with their guns pointed at him. Blake then opens the door and leans into the SUV, at which

time an officer grabs his shirt from behind and opens fire. Seven shots can be heard, though it isn’t clear how many struck Blake or how many of the officers fired.
