The Cabot’s Mission

To preserve our historic theater and bring vibrancy to the community through diverse programming that entertains, educates, and inspires.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SHOW YOU’VE SEEN RECENTLY AT THE CABOT OR OFF CABOT?

Casey Soward Executive Director

Jimmy Cash, the Janitor with Stamina at Off Cabot and Orebolo (Goose acoustic) at The Cabot.

Lisa Champigny

Front of House Manager

I saw Orlando Baxter and it was funny! He spoke about being a high school teacher and the shenanigans teens get into!

Kimberley Ballard

Director of Philanthropy & Community Outreach

One of the shows that I was surprised at how much I enjoyed was Jake Shimabukuro. Jake rocked The Cabot and his virtuoso performance was transcendent. I will never underestimate the ukulele again.

Jill Davidson Director of Concert & Event Operations

Tusk! Because it was the first time I got to attend a show with both of my daughters and my husband.

Jackie Ripasardi

Volunteer Usher Manager

Jon Anderson & The Paul Green Rock Academy!

Excellent!

Jackie Indrisano

Off Cabot General Manager

I honestly don’t have a favorite comedy moment because they’ve ALL had their merit. Our partners

John Tobin Presents curate a bill with enough diversity to give everyone a belly laugh!

Desiree McMahon

Program Manager

“Community Conversations: What is Gender? And Why it Matters” the featured speaker Alex Myers was honest, funny, and incredibly evocative. I would highly recommend the series for people interested in what is affecting the people around them.

Tyler Phinney

Program Assistant

My favorite recent show at the Cabot has been Chris Botti! Each member of his ensemble onstage contributed something unique, memorable, and impressive.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

SALEM FIVE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

As an almost 102 year old historic theater, and a non-profit organization, we rely on our community to keep the arts alive on the North Shore and help renovate this shared piece of our history.

Since 2016, the Salem Five Charitable Foundation has been an outstanding community partner. Salem Five has sponsored live performances, our Community Conversations series, annual fundraising events, and, most recently, our In Focus filmmaking program for middle school students that is open to all, no matter the ability to pay.

“Salem Five is committed to having a positive impact in the communities we serve and we are proud to support The Cabot. Our Foundation is dedicated to helping build stronger, more vibrant and prosperous communities. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to do just that and be a part of some great programs over the years such as Family Movie Nights, Community Conversations and most recently The Cabot: In Focus program for at-risk kids to tell their stories through film.”

Whether you are an organization that is looking for marketing benefits and premium tickets for employees, clients, or prospects, or you want to align your brand with values that you embrace, there are sponsorship opportunities at The Cabot that are right for you.

THE POLAR EXPRESS IS BACK!

The Polar Express Annual Holiday event was initially created to support the Isabella Rose Marino Endowment Fund, established in 2002 in honor of Bella Marino, who passed away at the age of four from a rare blood disorder.

Bella’s parents, Rich and Josie Marino, have kept the memory of Bella alive and have brought joy to many children with the annual showing of the Polar Express movie at The Cabot. In addition to the film, the event features a visit from Santa Claus, holiday-themed kids games, free cookies and milk, and signed books by author Chris Van Allsburg who, along with his wife Lisa, have been big supporters of this North Shore tradition for years. Our generous sponsor, Mortgage Network, ensures that the Polar Express Annual Holiday event will be a family tradition for years to come!

After a two year absence due to COVID concerns, the Polar Express event will be held on Sunday, December 11th. Kids and their parents are encouraged to wear their pajamas and settle in for an afternoon of holiday fun! Mark your calendars as this event usually sells out.

It flies the flag in honor of our World War II heroes, and evokes nostalgia for small-town movie palaces and the people who run them. It makes us feel about as good as any movie made this year.” (2001)
