Lucinda Williams is lauded as one of the greatest American songwriters of our time, bringing raw and poetic reflections to life with one-of-a-kind vocals. She picked up the guitar and pen at age twelve and has never stopped creating her powerful and singular music. Her work cannot be pinned down by the genres that claim her work, from country and folk to blues and rock.
Over the course of fourteen remarkable albums she has been nominated for 17 Grammy Awards and garnered three, along with countless accolades, including Time’s Songwriter of the Year of 2001. Her recent double albums, Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone (2014) and Ghosts of Highway 20 (2016), released on her own label, received some of the best reviews of her career.
