The soft pastel Tyranny of Aesthetic. We’re increasingly surrounded by a new form of flattened interior experiences, spaces that look and feel very similar to each other.
Placelessness 2.0 is the new merger of our spaces with our screens, the comfort of the soft bevelled edges of our rose gold iPhones mirroring the soft delirium of our dentist clinics. The mindscape and the builtscape now mirror each other, in an endless recursive loop, creating the magical comforting escape of AnalgesicLand. Our spaces now have the quality of the anti-flatulent tablets of Digene, with the same effect on our minds.
Placelessness 3.0 and 4.0 will follow, increasingly separating us from Reality, increasingly creating an analgesic for the mind.
