NEW HOTEL OPENINGS Accor continues to grow its UK and Ireland property portfolio with a collection of exciting new hotel openings. 2021 has already seen a number of significant openings across the UK, including ibis Bridgwater, Novotel Cambridge North and Adagio London Stratford. With over 250 properties in the UK and Ireland currently, Accor continues to expand its portfolio across multiple hotel brands: widening its offering for business travellers, whether they are looking for a budget stay or the height of luxury. Here Accor shines a spotlight on three of the hotels set to open their doors in the coming months: Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel The hotel opened its doors on 15th June 2021. Formerly the birthplace of explorer, treasure hunter and polar medallist Francis Howard Bickerton - occupies three beautiful buildings, including two 19th century manor houses, and is set among three acres of private gardens situated on the edge of the city of Oxford. The hotel’s outdoor terrace and landscaped gardens provide an idyllic spot for al fresco dining and drinks receptions on warm summer evenings. ibis Styles Bournemouth A new ibis Styles hotel will open on 15 July 2021, in the coastal resort town of Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England. Following a £2 million refurbishment of a historic beachfront property dating back to 1936, the eagerly awaited hotel will bring a new style of accommodation to the coastal city. ibis Styles Bournemouth will be the UK’s first ice cream themed hotel, with a creative interior design inspired by the local area. ibis Styles Seven Kings, Ilford A new ibis Styles Seven Kings will open on 12 July 2021, offering 92 en-suite bedrooms. The hotel will be designed to celebrate the shapes, textures and colours of a tranquil botanical garden and aim to provide an oasis of calm for guests right by Seven Kings Station. The hotel will blend quirky but comfortable modern styling with ecofriendly touches. The hotel is BREEAM-compliant, meaning that it has been independently assessed for sustainability so guests can be safe in the knowledge that their stay is responsible.
