Hi-SCAN earns transportation Security Laboratory certification

Smiths Detection's HI SCAN 6040 CTiX scanner has been certified by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the Accessible Property Screening System (APSS) program to detection standard 6.2, Level 1.

Adding the detection standard 6.2, Level 1 capability to the HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX scanner will permit the scanner to operate at an enhanced level with lower false alarm rates. The HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX utilizes Computer Tomography (CT) technology to deliver a very high level of detection. By generating 3D images in real-time, HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX operators can inspect baggage at every angle to make more precise assessments on bag contents. (Bluetooth Low Energy) mobile device authentication portal, integration with the RS485 wireless locks from ASSA Abloy and SimonsVoss, integration with the new TDSi GARDiS VU VMS software, and a new Cause and Effect Engine.

GARDiS runs as a service, working autonomously without the need for management. The intuitive nature of the software makes it easy to troubleshoot, reducing the chance of customers incurring call-out costs.

Johnson Controls expands Cloudvue portfolio

Johnson Controls has introduced six additions to the Cloudvue camera portfolio, expanding the range of camera options and form factors for customers to leverage the power and convenience of cloud video surveillance.

With this launch, Johnson Controls is able to offer customers cameras that simplify installation and configuration and are suitable for exterior applications where rugged cameras are required to withstand harsh environments and where interior applications demand an appropriate aesthetic.

The Cloudvue Gen3 cloud-ready cameras are available in 3MP and 8MP resolutions, the compact mini-dome, outdoor minidome and the outdoor bullet cameras are designed to offer high-image quality, feature rich surveillance options for a wide range of applications including retail, apartment complexes and manufacturing facilities.

Customers looking for simplified hardware device management can select the Cloudvue Gen3 cameras as part of the Cloudvue Security as a Service model. population will live in or around cities, leading to crowded cities and a higher number of public entrance points. An increase in people inevitably will mean a rise in crime and security threats.

Boon Edam upgrades its high security revolving doors to BE EN 17352 compliant

Boon Edam's Tourlock 180 (4-winged) and Tourlock 120 (3-winged) high security doors now offer compliance to the EN 17352 European standard. These doors have been updated to provide premium high security protection through antitailgating and piggybacking functions. They have an even higher level of safety features to improve user convenience during operation of the doors.

The need for a harmonised safety standard has increased because of several rising global trends. Experts predict that due to urbanisation, half of the world It can accurately differentiate between two people and one person with an object and provide progressive data with algorithms for in-depth analysis.
