NEW VEDUTA GALLERY TO OPEN IN CRESCO MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! Buck Hill Falls cottager, Robert Woodward (#25) has been working through the winter to renovate a studio and gallery space owned by fellow Buck Hiller Bill Castellano. The Veduta Gallery will showcase artists and makers of crafts from the region (including the northeast corridor and beyond) and may serve as a catalyst for community engagement around the arts. The Veduta will open with a fabric arts exhibit over Memorial Day weekend – “The 7-Year Stitch.” The show will feature fabric art created by Robert and his partner Nadya Shmavonian to celebrate their seven happy years together. The opening party will be Sunday evening, May 26 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Wine, cheese hors d’oeuvres will be served. In June, the Veduta will house a collection of art from eight artists who will be contributing to a months-long major outdoor installation this summer in Buck Hill Falls – ArtPaths. While ArtPaths will meander along the Glade Path, the Veduta will showcase other works of the participating artists in June and July. More details to follow on corresponding activities. Finally, the Veduta Gallery will celebrate Locally (Re)Sourced Art from within the BHF community on the weekend of August 2 – 4 with an opening reception on Sunday August 4 (more details to follow).
