The Buck Hill Conservation Foundation MISSION: “To preserve and protect land in and around Buck Hill Falls, to promote the health of the local forest and

watershed, and to foster appreciation of the area’s natural beauty.” More than a century ago, the founders of the Buck Hill Falls community acquired a large tract of Pocono woodland, both as a place they and their families could enjoy and as a legacy for future generations. Buck Hill Falls residents are the inheritors and stewards of that invaluable legacy that today comprises about 4,600 acres of forests and natural scenic woodlands. Upcoming Events and Activities Sunday, May 26, 9:00 AM: “Birding Buck Hill” with Frank May Start the summer season with birds. May species return each summer to breed and raise their families along the golf course, at the pool, in the woods, and along the beautiful Buck Hill Creek. Join Frank as he explores several habitats looking and listening for our returning neighbors. This hike will meet at the Nature Center, Lower Pool Parking Lot. Saturday, June 15, 7:00 AM: “Sounds of the Forest” with Jackie Speicher Wake up in the early morning to listen to the dawn chorus of birds, frogs, and other wildlife at Buck Hill Falls. This hike will meet at the Metzgar’s Farm road parking area, and culminate at the top of the mountain with a gorgeous view of Buck Hill. We will have coffee and pastries available for all hearty explorers. You will return invigorated from the morning stroll and ready to start your day! Saturday, July 6, 6:00 PM: “A Night in the Tropics,” The BHCF Annual Dinner Dance Join us at our signature fundraiser! Spice up your summer and indulge in “A Night in the Tropics” right here on the Buck Hill Inn site. Guests will enjoy Caribbean themed cocktails and buffet supper, live music by “Smooth,” silent and live auctions, and photos in our tropical-themed photo booth.

While you’re in the tropics, support the Foundation’s “Trees for Bees” initiative to establish and maintain a beehive colony at Metzgar’s Farm, purchase and plant 2,000 native species trees, and our ongoing program of eradication of invasive species. Look for your invitation in the mail in the coming weeks.
