Introducing MORE THAN A LOGO

If you saw Chris’s announcement, you heard him say that we’re disciples of Jesus Christ in process. None of us are perfect, and we’re all under construction. We’re helping each other listen and obey, so we can realize the good life now – the good life as Jesus defines it.

That also goes for how we communicate at The Branch.

We’re in process there as well. Jesus once said that His Father taught Him what to say and how to say it. We believe that what we say and how we say it matters.

One of the first areas we gave our attention to was our logo. It’s evolved here and there through the years but our leadership team felt it was time to make a more definitive change.

Why is the logo changing?

INSIGHT AND INTENTION

As we continue to grow and mature as a body of believers, we felt the new identity for the church needed to reflect that change.

With the help of a local creative agency, our new logo was designed to reflect our desire for The Branch to be a church where people can grow in Christ. We also wanted to convey our desire to grow as a church in the mission of Christ.

We think of the extensions “branching” off the logo as reflective of “growth” in a variety of different ways.

We also wanted the logo to be simple, clean, and transferable in its function across a variety of formats – be they digital or printed.

REALIZE THE GOOD LIFE NOW.

While a logo can be helpful, we know it’s but one small piece in an effort to communicate who we are and what we’re about at The Branch.

You’ll continue to see some changes throughout our modes and mediums of communications - during our services, online, and beyond.

We can’t wait to share them with you!

How does this affect our current ministries?

Through this process it was necessary to evaluate all the ways these changes would impact our community, and one apparent area was how we talked about and structured our ministries.

Where there was some discontinuity with what we called each ministry, we’ve adopted an approach that streamlines each group making it much easier to associate, both visually, and contextually.

Connecting men to God, His Word, and other men.

Empowering and equipping women in their pursuit of connecting with God and one another.

Guiding middle school and high school students to follow the practices and person of Jesus Christ.

Walking alongside families to raise the next generation of disciples of Jesus.

Encouraging each other to grow spiritually and to express the love of Christ beyond our walls.

Helping the more experienced in life to find active involvement and receive spiritual shepherding.

Engaging the Spanishspeaking community in Farmers Branch.

Caring for people who are in times of trial or despair through prayer, visits, and other messages of love.

What’s next?

As Chris mentioned, we’ve already rolled out our new website, with an updated Branch App coming here in the next few weeks.

There will be updates made to our BranchOut, tweaks made to our services and printed materials. Eventually, it will all be updated! To give you a bit of a sneak peek, check out the new website at thebranch.org.
