• Why was Mary crying? Jesus was not in the tomb. She thought he had been taken. • Who did Mary think Jesus was? Reread v. 15. The gardener. • How did Mary learn it was Jesus? He called her by name. She knew Him • What did she do after she knew it was Jesus? She went and told the other disciples. • Where were the other disciples? They were “sheltered-in” at a home in Jerusalem, scared of the Jewish leaders because of what they had done to Jesus. • What is something you are scared about right now?

25

• What is the first thing Jesus said and did to them in v. 19? “Peace be with You” and showed his scars. • What can we learn from that? Jesus brings us peace - even when things don’t make sense, even when we are scared. He is real, we can trust Him. • The disciples are overjoyed because Jesus is alive! What do you do when you are really happy about something? You SHARE it and tell others!
