Safety Captive Program
Can’t afford a full-time Safety Director? Need more safety department support? Split the cost of this shared service!
When it comes to workplace safety, having a dedicated safety director can be crucial for ensuring your employees are protected and your business is compliant with regulations. However, for many small to mid-sized businesses, the cost of hiring a full-time safety director can be prohibitive.
That’s where a shared service can be your solution. By splitting the cost of a safety director with other businesses, you can still have access to expert safety guidance and support without breaking the bank. For businesses that don’t require a full-time safety director, a shared safety service can provide access to a wider range of knowledge and resources than a single safety director might be able to offer.
In a high-risk industry with complex safety needs, why take chances? With a strong track record of safety expertise and customer satisfaction, ABC CF’s Safety Captive Program can be your company’s smart and cost-effective solution.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025, Associated Builders and Contractors is a national construction industry trade association established in 1950 with 67 chapters and more than 23,000 members . Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC helps members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work . ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U . S . construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors .
ABC is the merit shop construction industry’s voice with the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the federal government and with state and local governments, as well as with the news media .
ABC’s activities include government representation, legal advocacy, education, workforce development, communications, technology, recognition through national and chapter awards programs, employee benefits, information on best practices, and business development through an online contractor search directory .
ABC was founded in 1950 when seven contractors gathered in Baltimore, MD ., to create an association based on the shared belief that construction projects should be awarded on merit to the most qualified and responsible low bidders . The courage and dedication of those seven contractors helped to quickly spread the merit shop Today, ABC is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing America’s business community and the merit shop construction industry

ABC members are frequently asked to testify before committees on behalf of ABC .
ABC PAC
The motto that drives ABC’s political activities is, ‘Getw into politics or get out of business!’ ABC members have responded to that call by helping to build the association’s federal political action committee into one of the largest in the construction industry . As a result, ABC is a key player in electing federal candidates who support the views and principles of merit shop contractors and currently has an 87% success rate in races ABC is involved in .
Issues and Advocacy
ABC actively works with federal regulatory agencies to ensure that the concerns of its members are addressed in the rulemaking process The association maintains close relationships with such agencies as the Department of Labor, Commerce, and Education, and the Environmental Protection Agency on issues such as occupational safety, procurement, workforce education, project labor agreements and permitting Proposed regulations are carefully reviewed for their impact on the construction industry, and ABC members frequently testify as expert witnesses before these agencies . The purpose of ABC’s Political Action Committee (PAC) is to work within the federal election process to further the goals of the association through direct involvement in supporting and opposing candidates for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives . This is accomplished through educating our members on the importance of political activism and through financial support of merit shop candidates .
The Free Enterprise Alliance is the action arm for small businesses, entrepreneurs and advocates of limited government, open and fair competition, and the economically sound principles upon which America was built . ABOUT GOVERNMENT-MANDATED PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENTS ON PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Hardworking taxpayers deserve efficient and effective policies that will encourage all qualified contractors to compete to build long-lasting, quality projects at the best price . Government-mandated project labor agreements discourage quality contractors and the more than 87% of U .S . construction workers who choose to not join a union from bidding and working on projects in their own communities

Established in 1925, McCorvey Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated company with a century of expertise in the HVAC industry. As one of the largest sheet metal ductwork detailers, fabricators, and installers in the country, we take pride in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship has allowed us to play a key role in numerous high-profile projects across the United States. With state-of-the-art fabrication facilities, a highly skilled workforce, and a customer-focused approach, McCorvey Sheet Metal continues to set industry standards while upholding the values and integrity that have defined our company for generations.
OUR SERVICE INCLUDES
VDC, or Virtual Design and Construction, emphasizes collaboration and integrated working. Our BIM Modelers and Detailers come up with the best strategies for projects incorporating the right people and technology. We draw our ductwork to the highest detail imaginable; we train our employees to think and design to the Nth degree.
McCorvey continues to invest heavily in our pre-fabrication efforts. The manufacturing facility pre-fabricates every custom piece of ductwork while considering delivery and jobsite logistics. Every piece of ductwork is cut to length with taps installed. Everything that can be done in the manufacturing facility is installed to eliminate field liabilities.
We utilize Trimble software whenever possible to install our hangers; the goal is to unload the ductwork and install our product immediately. We train our Foreman and Journeyman to “punch as they go” with quality control practices.
