CEO’s Welcome As we reach the end of another academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been another successful year for The Boleyn Trust and to thank every member of our community for the part they have played in that success. Across our schools, we have seen pupils achieve remarkable things, staff go above and beyond in supporting children and families, and colleagues work together to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to thrive. It has been a year filled with achievement, progress and countless moments that have made us proud. We have also celebrated some outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes this year. These results are a testament to the dedication, professionalism and commitment of our staff, the support of our governors and trustees, and the hard work of our pupils. While inspections provide an important external measure of success, what matters most is the exceptional education, care and opportunities that our schools provide each and every day. As the summer holidays begin, I hope everyone takes the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time with family and friends. The dedication shown by colleagues throughout the year has been extraordinary, and this well-deserved break provides an opportunity to reflect on all that has been achieved.

Employee of the Year When I was asked to select an Employee of the Year, I found the task almost impossible. Every single member of staff at Cleves plays a vital role in making our school such a special place, and each person contributes something unique to our community. For that reason, I decided that the award should be determined by a staff vote. What followed was truly heartening. Reading the reasons colleagues gave for their nominations was incredibly inspiring. The respect, appreciation and admiration that staff have for one another shone through in every comment. It was a wonderful reminder of the supportive and caring culture that exists across our school. While many members of staff received well-deserved recognition, there was one individual who received a few extra votes from colleagues. Therefore, I am delighted to announce that this year's Employee of the Year is Aysha Tauqeer.

Year 6 Performance Congratulations to all the young stars who took part in this years end of term theatrical extravaganza - Peter and the Lost Children! Hollywood here they come!

Year 6 Production Peter Pan Year 6 did an amazing job bringing Peter Pan to life in their end-of-year performance. From start to finish, the audience was captivated by the children's confidence, enthusiasm and talent. The costumes were fantastic, the acting was outstanding, and the singing was truly incredible, showcasing the hard work and dedication of every pupil. The children performed with energy and passion, making the characters come alive and creating a magical experience for everyone who watched. We are immensely proud of Year 6 for putting on such a memorable show and ending their primary school journey in such spectacular fashion.

Reception Summer Ball Our Reception children celebrated the end of their wonderful EYFS journey in style with a fabulous Summer Ball. Dressed in their finest outfits and beautiful dresses, the children enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, music and special memories alongside their families. Parents were invited to join the celebrations, making the event even more meaningful as everyone came together to mark this important milestone. Guests enjoyed a selection of delicious food while the children danced the afternoon away, showing off their best moves and enjoying the festive atmosphere with their friends and families. It was a joyful occasion and the perfect way to celebrate all they have achieved throughout the year. The Summer Ball created lasting memories for everyone involved and was a wonderful way to say goodbye to EYFS before the children begin their exciting next chapter in Year 1.

Team of the Year Choosing just one member of staff for this accolade is simply impossible at Monega. Every member of our team plays a vital role in making our school the successful, nurturing, and ambitious place that it is. Monega's success is built on teamwork. Like the cogs in a machine, each person contributes something unique and valuable, and it is only because we work together so effectively that we achieve so much for our children and community. More than that, we are not just colleagues – we are a family. We support one another through challenges, celebrate each other's successes, and always pull together for the benefit of our children and the wider school community. Year 5 Art Project Year 5 enjoyed an exciting visit to the Stratford Art Project, where they explored the vibrant world of graffiti art. As part of a project to help transform Stratford Junction into one of the country's largest open-air art galleries and exhibition spaces, the pupils worked with talented artists to learn about graffiti techniques, experiment with colours and designs, and develop their own creative ideas. Earlier in the project, the children took part in workshops where they created artwork inspired by their love of the local area. During their visit to Stratford Junction, they were thrilled to see their final designs brought to life and spray-painted onto the side of a double-decker bus. The experience was made even more memorable when the pupils had the opportunity to use spray paint and stencils to design their own t-shirts. The project encouraged creativity, self-expression and teamwork, and the children thoroughly enjoyed seeing how their artwork could help transform a public space for the whole community to enjoy.

Year 6 Trip to Treginnis Farm Wales Year 6 had an unforgettable week at Treginnis Farm in St Davids, Wales, as part of the Farms for City Children programme. Throughout their stay, the children embraced life as real farmers, taking on a wide range of responsibilities including caring for animals, feeding livestock, collecting eggs and helping with daily farm tasks. The experience provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to step out of their comfort zones, develop independence and teamwork, and gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from. They threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and determination, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The children thoroughly enjoyed their week in the beautiful Welsh countryside and returned home full of stories, new skills and a greater appreciation for farming life. It was truly an amazing experience, and one that Year 6 will never forget.

Year 6 Graduation Our Year 6 pupils celebrated the end of their primary school journey in style at their Graduation this week. Dressed in their very best outfits, they enjoyed a fantastic evening with friends, sharing pizza, laughter and plenty of happy memories.The celebrations included a special awards ceremony, where pupils were recognised with awards voted for by their peers, making the occasion even more meaningful. It was a wonderful way to mark the end of their time at primary school, and all of the children had a fantastic time celebrating their achievements and friendships before embarking on their next exciting chapter.

Learning Hub Garden Party This week, we were delighted to celebrate our Learning Hub Garden Party. It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers attend, creating a fantastic atmosphere and making the event a great success. Families enjoyed spending time together, chatting with staff and celebrating the achievements of our children. The children had a brilliant time exploring the garden, sharing their learning and enjoying the special activities that had been planned. Their excitement and pride were clear to see, and it was lovely to watch them celebrate alongside their families and friends. Events like our Garden Party are an important part of bringing our school community together. They provide valuable opportunities for families, children and staff to connect, strengthen relationships and celebrate all that makes our school special. We are proud to be an inclusive school where everyone feels welcomed, valued and supported. Reception Graduation To celebrate the Reception children coming to the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, we held our annual graduation event in the school hall. A day filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia as we celebrated the graduation of our Reception children. Our EYFS graduation ceremony was a wonderful occasion that marked the end of a beautiful chapter and the beginning of an exciting new adventure for our young graduates.

Rocksteady Concert This week, our talented young musicians took to the stage for their Rocksteady Concert, performing to parents, carers and the whole school. Having spent weeks rehearsing and refining their songs, the children demonstrated fantastic resilience, courage and musical talent throughout their performances. From the first note to the final encore, the atmosphere was electric! Every performer should be incredibly proud of themselves for showcasing such confidence and enthusiasm in front of a live audience. It was truly a rock concert to remember, and we are immensely proud of all our budding rock stars. Well done, everyone!

Sport Day Despite the soaring temperatures, our annual Sports Days were a fantastic success. The children showed incredible enthusiasm andresilience as they took part in a range of events, giving their all while supporting and encouraging one another. There were lots of smiles, cheers and celebrations throughout the day, and it was wonderful to see such great team spirit on display. A huge thank you to the families who came along to support us – your encouragement helped make the day even more special. We are so proud of all the children!

A Final Message from our Head Boy Hello readers, I am Zephy (a Year 6 pupil from New City). I have written this to talk about my time at this school and share some amazing experiences that I have had. My time at the school has flown by, within a blink of an eye I feel as if it was only yesterday when I was in nursery. Since nursery, I have made countless friends, gone on many trips and have even become Head Boy! Some memories have been made that I would like to share. Stubbers was an action packed three day long residential trip where I took part in various activities with my friends. Another fantastic memory, was just the fun in laughing alongside my friends and having fun in the playground, I will never forget these joyful times. One last thing that I will always remember about New City Primary School, was becoming Head Boy. I worked hard for the role and am very happy with the responsibility. As I move forward onto Secondary school, I will carry on a positive attitude and a ready to learn approach to life. This will hopefully continue my love for learning at secondary school and beyond. Year 6 Production: Peter Pan and the Lost Children Our Year 6 production of Peter Pan and the Lost Children was a fantastic way to bring the school year to a close and celebrate the end of our pupils’ primary school journey. The show, produced in partnership with Brick Lane, was a wonderful success and provided an opportunity for the children to showcase their talents, confidence and creativity in front of family, friends and staff. Over many weeks of rehearsals, the children worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, songs and stage directions. Their commitment and enthusiasm were evident throughout the performance, as they brought the magical story of Peter Pan and the Lost Children to life with energy, humour and confidence. Every child played an important role, and it was wonderful to see them working together to create such a memorable production. The performance was a reflection of the many skills the children have developed during their time at New City Primary School.

Their teamwork, resilience and determination shone through, and the pride they felt in their achievement was clear for all to see. For many pupils, performing on stage in front of a large audience was a significant accomplishment and a moment they will remember for years to come. We would also like to recognise the dedication and hard work of our staff, who supported the children throughout the rehearsal process and helped ensure the production was such a success. Their encouragement and commitment enabled the children to perform with confidence and enthusiasm. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the show, and the laughter, applause and support created a truly special atmosphere. Peter Pan and the Lost Children was a fitting finale to the Year 6 pupils’ time at New City Primary School and a wonderful celebration of all they have achieved. We are incredibly proud of every child and thank Brick Lane, our staff and our families for helping make this production such a memorable occasion.

Bikeability Assembly Following on from the Bikeability sessions, Years 5 & 6 took part in an assembly.The purpose of the visit was to help raise awareness of the benefits of active and sustainable travel and included some basic cycle theory e.g how to check your bike and safety tactics.

Bikeability Workshop Last week, our school took part in the Bikeability week- long workshop. Half of our Year 5 pupils were able to be a part of the sessions which were split into three groups: one to help beginners, one to help the intermediate riders and the last group who were all competent enough to learn about road safety and eventually were able to put this into practice and ventured onto the streets around the school.

Nursery & EYFS Bubbles Day Our younger pupils were treated to a fun day with ‘The Bubble Lady’. They created all sorts of gentle, sensory bubbles enhanced with soft music, and the children joined in catching bubbles, playing with scented bouncy bubbles, and making giant rainbow bubbles. Each child was given plenty of time to choose to come and join in, which they all did and they all had a fantastic time!

Child of The Term Our outstanding pupils who won the 'Child of the Term' were treated to a lovely day out last week. First of all, they went to the small park inside Westfield before going to see 'Toy Story 5' which they all loved and none of them had seen yet. After, this they were very hungry but we soon put paid to this with a three-course meal in Pizza Express. It was a great way to mark their celebrations at the end of the school year!

EYFS & KS1 Peter Pan Drama Workshop Peter Pan came to Ravenscroft this week to take the children on a flight to Neverland! He flew into school with a problem: Captain Hook has stolen the treasure! Only children can help rescue it from The Jolly Roger and return to class safely. The workshops were very lively, combining movement, storytelling and role-play, sparking creativity while supporting key learning outcomes that help build confidence, communication and teamwork through drama.

Mandarin competition Our pupils have been learning about many different aspects of the Mandarin culture, including their money and how to speak a few sentences in Mandarin. They took part in an online competition with sixteen other schools competing too; the tasks they had to complete were not easy however they did very well and not only managed to progress to the next stage but they also won an award for their creativity

Peter and the Lost Children For the last few months, our Year 6 pupils have been rehearsing for their end of year production and really putting in the work to make it a special show. This week, it was their time to shine and the show was amazing! There were a number of outstanding performances and everyone put their heart and soul into it.

Reception Waterplay with Year 6 Role Models Reception children cooled down during this hot weather spell with some water play.Our Year 6 Role Models were on hand to help and play with them. It was lovely to see the children interacting with each other.

Year 1 Visit to Buckingham Palace & St James' Park Our Year 1 pupils had the most exciting visit to Buckingham Palace and St James' Park. At the palace they stood wide-eyed in front of the big black gates, counting the guards in their tall hats and wondering who was inside having tea! After, they walked across to St James' Park where they watched as people fed the ducks, spotting the pelicans by the lake. They ate their lunch on the grass with views of the palace in the background. They were very tired at the end of the day but it was well worth the visit.

Year 5 French Lessons with Rokeby School Our Year 5 pupils took part in a French lesson with pupils from Rokeby School.The boys were extremely good at presenting their lesson which had everyone engaged, it was a thoroughly enjoyable session.

“Ravenscroft Primary School is an amazing world full of joy. When I first came, I was anxious but that was quickly put into the past. Now I have many wonderful funny friends that light me up every day! When I see them, I feel energised. The kind teachers always help me and motivate me every day. I will always remember Ravenscroft!” “On my first day of Nursery, I felt scared and nervous, but when I got used to it, it was fun and enjoyable. A proud moment was when I got a Child of the Term in Reception and got to make pizza and eat ice cream.” “When I first came to Ravenscroft, I felt scared and very shy. Now that I am leaving, I feel confident and proud of myself.” “I remember feeling so worried on my first day because I didn’t have any friends, so I felt alone. But I soon made friends and felt happy. An unforgettable time was when I went to watch a show near Stratford because I got 100% attendance.” “My first impressions of this school were that it looked fun and friendly – I was right. On my first day, I was nervous and I thought no one would like me, but I made lots of fun friends straightaway. My proudest moment was when I received a Governors’ Award in Year 4 – I even got to eat loads of nice food with the other winners.”

Employee of the Year Dawn has worked at Ravenscroft since September 1997 – that’s an amazing 29 years at the school. As you can imagine – she is an institution. Taking on different roles in her time at Ravenscroft, for the past 20 years she has been involved in safeguarding and is our Safeguarding Lead. In this capacity she has worked with countless pupils, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of some of our most vulnerable children. Dawn has an eye for detail and has a vast knowledge and experience in her area – she is a font of wisdom and expertise that Ravenscroft will definitely miss. Hers are big shoes to fill. Sadly, Dawn is set to leave us at the end of this year. We wish her all the best for her retirement. We will miss you, Dawn!

My time in Rosetta My time in Rosetta has been a long ride which has been the best ride of my life! Spending my time in this school has helped me meet new people, new friends, new teachers and new incredible heights. If it wasn't for school and everyone else in my life, I wouldn't be where I am today. When I first started Rosetta, I felt scared and nervous but as I carried on, I became smarter, stronger and gained more confidence along with amazing friends and achievements. As the years kept going, I realized that I was nearing the end of my Primary School so I decided to make the last of my time left the best time of my life. Looking back in my life I remember all the teachers, all the friends, all the people who supported me; then I look around the room staring at everyone who's been with me since day one. Before in my early years I wanted to leave School but now I don't want to leave School. With year 7 just around the corner, I am ready to join the ride for Secondary School. “Don't be sad that it's over, be glad it happened”.

My time in Rosetta Rosetta has been an amazing time filled with lots of memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life; my friends that provided me joy, teachers that gave me comfort and the school that gave me confidence. SATS was one of my biggest worries going into year 6 but as soon as I opened the first paper all of those nerves just flew away; feeling all of that pressure on my chest just fly away. Although some moments have not been the best, the memories that I have made are what was worth it all along. I came into this school with no confidence at all and now I will leave with knowing that I had the best 7 years possible.

My time in Rosetta Rosetta has been an amazing journey and it's sad having to leave. Some of my favourite memories was in year 6 going to our residential trip in PGL and going to Chessington. Honestly, I don’t want to leave Rosetta Primary School because I've made so many memories and friends over the past 4 years. Additionally, I am not sure how hard making friends in secondary school is going to be, but at Rosetta, it was easy like a walk in the park. All the teachers had inspired me especially Miss Prempeh and Miss Bradbury because they are all very respectful and hardworking; I strive to be as successful as them when I grow up.

My time in Rosetta My time at Rosetta primary school was unforgettable like when I was a shy kid and years later I was head boy for the school. There was 3 years that stood out for me was year 4,5, and 6 my two favourite years were most likely year 4 and 6 because I wasn't myself. Being head boy came with pressure; since I have been head boy I have been busy around the whole school. My time as head boy will never be forgotten, as well as my friends, especially my best friends. They will never be forgotten. After 7 amazing years, my time at Rosetta is nearly over. I am nervous to go to secondary because most people I don’t know so it's practically another world for me. I hope I do extremely well in the future.

My time in Rosetta When I first started primary school,I thought it would be similar to nursery but it was a bit different. The people in my class were full of unfamiliar faces except for one person, Annabelle. She was my first best friend and I knew I could rely on her since the rest of the class were complete strangers. I remember going down through the corridor to the pegs while my hands became sweaty as if I just washed my hands without drying them. As the time went on I moved up to year 1 to year 6. I never realised how quick the years would go past. At the start of year 4, my confidence went down but throughout that year, my friends and teacher began to bring my confidence back. That's when I also realised how lucky I am for my friends and teacher at that moment. That's something I’ll never forget about year 4.The days went quicker and it was reaching its final days, I remember being excited for year 5 but I didn’t want to leave year 4 as so much memories ran through my head one by one repeatedly. During year 5, I had such a blast at all the adventurous trips we had. One of my favourite parts of year 5 was the last few weeks because our teacher would make us do a lot of fun activities, until my teacher told us she was leaving! The second she told us, all my happiness turned into sadness as she started crying. Mrs Danquah is a teacher I’ll never forget because if I had a bad morning, her laugh, smile and joy would always make me happy and forget about all the sad things. Sadly, year 5 was already coming to an end and it was finally the time for year 6 (the time for SATS).For the first few weeks, the work was pretty easy and I didn’t have to stress about it until it was the last few weeks before SATS.I tried not to stress but the countdown was coming fast, luckily the SATS was actually easy and I said to myself that I don’t have to stress myself out. One trip I’ll never ever forget is PGL, PGL was so fun and we got to stay for 3 days. Every single day we had to wake up at 6 and the sun hadn’t even risen yet, but it was worth it because all the activities we did was worth waking up early. All the staff were really nice and even if you were scared to do something they would always convince you to go anyways. It’s like when I had to jump from a high place with a harness on and the staff convinced me to go so I jumped and realised it wasn’t that bad.

My time in Rosetta My time in primary school was a blast. A lot of things I liked was learning new things in different subjects and drama and also the friends that created courage for me to come to school everyday, without them, I would probably become lonely and loose hope for everything. I think the main thing about primary school is to just have fun because eventually you move to secondary and you have to say goodbye to your friends that dont go to the same secondary. With SATs, it was actually pretty easy, I now get when the old yr 6s used to say things like ‘it's easy if you practice’. There were many trips in year 6 like PGL and Chessington. Year 7 scares me because they put you in set 1-5 based on how smart you are. Things progressively get harder andharder. My dream is to move alone in a different country without anyone so I have peace and quiet in my home. Year 6 was overall really fun and I enjoyed it. The only thing that would make it better is if it went a little slower and have another trip like PGL because I really loved it. It went quick, before I could even blink it’s already over! I wish to visit my memories again by coming back to this school in secondary to visit and say hi to all of my teachers and kiddie friends who were there for me. Thank you Rosetta Primary School for making me the way I am today. Thank you to my friends who were there for me at the hardest times. Goodbye!

My time in Rosetta When I first joined, I thought all my friends would be with me, but I learned that you make new friends along the way. My first friends are still with me now and I am grateful for it. One memory from reception is when we went to the beach and we spotted a crab. And in year one we went to a farm, and we saw goats and made our pizzas. And we did sports day. A memory from year 6 is PGL , Chessington and swimming. In swimming I made new friends that I never talked to and now we talk regularly and are closer than ever. In year six, we had SATS but it was not as bad then as I thought. In my year six class, we made tons of memories that I won’t forget. Another thing is the year six production with Bricklane. I got the role I've always wanted. The production we are doing is Peter Pan. Primary school is one of the most important times so far in my life.

My time in Rosetta Rosetta has always been a place to talk about. It’s connected to my brain, like the last piece of a puzzle. My time at rosetta is a chapter in my book, short but significant. My favourite memory was PGL, the activities and enthusiasm made the experience phenomenal. Every lunchtime feels like a never-ending movie, but it always has to end. All though I did not get to experience Chessington, I am grateful that I got the opportunity to go and know that my friends had a delightful time. I remember starting Rosetta and feeling apprehensive, but with the staff’s help, I gained courage and confidence throughout the years. A precious memory of mine is when I baked my first batch of bread, despite the mess the taste was indescribable. Back in year one, I remember going on my first coach ride, it was amazing. Now that it is nearly over, I want to remember every detail.

My time in Rosetta Rosetta has been so good, if I'm being honest PGL has to be one of my favourite memories because I got to be with my friends and I got to go with my school. Besides being with my friends, I loved the food and the staff. The P.E with Mr Brown is one of my best time I felt like that was the best version of me, I got to shine and do things I never thought I could do. Mr Brown never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself that's why he will always be one of favourite teachers. Chessington was my favourite school trip, I'm so lucky I got to go with my friends and one of the best teachers that has taught me. Year 4 was my best year since I have a good teacher and got to go to the cinemas, the cinemas were good and we were lucky we got to go. My year 6 teacher give us so much, she is so amazing. She always tries her best to put a smile on the classes face by giving us treats and gifts. Miss Prempeh my favourite teacher, she been there for me so much she never given up on me even when I changed and done silly stuff, she always believed in me and I'm so grateful for that. Rosetta has been so good finding the right people. Overall this school has been so good from reception to year 6, I'm never going to forget this school.

Peter and the Lost Children The Year 6 children have been working incredibly hard on their production of ‘Peter Pan’, putting in countless hours of practice and dedication to bring the classic tale to life. Their enthusiasm and commitment have been truly inspiring, as they've collaborated to perfect their performances, learn their lines and master the choreography. A significant part of their success is owed to the wonderful team at Brick Lane Music Hall, whose expertise and support have been phenomenal. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their time working with such talented professionals and wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Brick Lane Music Hall for making their experience so memorable and enriching.

Pre Formal Family Fun Day On Monday 6th July, we were delighted to welcome families to our Rainbow Room Family Fun Day, a special event for pupils in our pre-formal SEND provision. The afternoon was designed to provide an inclusive, accessible and enjoyable sports experience where every child could participate, achieve and have fun alongside their families. Children and their parents and carers explored a range of engaging activity stations together, celebrating each success and enjoying quality time in a relaxed and supportive environment. The activities were carefully adapted to meet the individual needs of our pupils, ensuring that every child was able to take part with confidence and experience success. Events like these are an important part of our pre-formal curriculum, helping to strengthen home-school relationships while supporting pupils' physical development, communication, confidence and social interaction in a meaningful and enjoyable way. It was wonderful to see so many families joining in with such enthusiasm and creating special memories together. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the staff whose hard work and dedication made the afternoon such a success. We are incredibly proud of our pre-formal provision and look forward to hosting many more inclusive events for our SEND community in the future. 47

Reception Sports Day The Reception children had a fantastic Sports Day. They worked brilliantly as a team, cheering on their teammates and always trying their very best in every event. We were so proud of their enthusiasm, determination, and positive attitude throughout the day. A big well done to all the children for their participation, excellent sportsmanship, and for making the day so enjoyable!

The Rainbow Room Team A huge shout out to the incredible team in the Rainbow Room for the dedication, care and enthusiasm they show every single day. Our pre-formal provision is built around meeting each child's individual needs, celebrating every achievement and creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Throughout the school year, the team has embraced new approaches, planned engaging sensory learning experiences and worked tirelessly to ensure every child has the opportunity to communicate, explore and succeed at their own pace. ‘Wondermaths’ Win Rosetta Primary School recently competed in the Wondermaths Challenge, a pan-London maths enrichment programme and tournament for Year 4 and 5 pupils. Following the regional heats, just 13 schools qualified for the Grand Final. I am incredibly proud to announce that Rosetta finished in 3rd place, achieving our first-ever podium finish in the competition. This is a fantastic accomplishment, particularly as the winning school, Elmgrove Primary, has won the competition for several years. Rosetta was also the highest-placed school from Newham, finishing ahead of both Nelson Primary and Gallions Primary. The team demonstrated outstanding mathematical thinking, teamwork and resilience throughout the competition and were excellent ambassadors for our school. This success is also a credit to everyone who has been part of these pupils' learning journey at Rosetta. This achievement reflects the collective effort, high expectations and commitment to excellence that we strive for every day.

Year 3 Sports Day Year 3 had a fantastic Sports Day, with every child showing great enthusiasm, determination and teamwork throughout all of the events. It was wonderful to see parents, teachers and children cheering each other on and enjoying the day together. With upbeat music, exciting games and plenty of smiles, the atmosphere was full of energy and positivity. A huge well done to all of our Year 3 pupils for their excellent effort and sportsmanship – it was a day to remember!

Year 6 Disco To celebrate our Year 6’s fantastic achievements and outstanding SATs results, we hosted a disco to mark the end of a phenomenal year! Our theme this year was ‘Around the World’. The children indulged in a variety of food around the world. They had an amazing day dancing to the different music!

The Year 6 Graduation The Year 6 Graduation Ceremony at Rosetta Primary School was a memorable celebration of our pupils' achievements, growth, and resilience throughout their primary school journey. Surrounded by proud families, friends, and staff, the children reflected on their time at Rosetta with confidence and gratitude while looking forward with excitement to the opportunities ahead. The ceremony recognised their hard work, friendships, and many successes, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of an exciting new adventure. We wish all of our Year 6 leavers every success as they move on to secondary school.

Peter Pan This year, our Year 6 children have been working with the Brick Lane Theatre company on their annual Summer musical. Their performance was based on the story of Peter Pan, a tale of friendship, adventure and imagination which culminated in a final production titled 'Peter and the Lost Children'. The children worked with Brick Lane Theatre on a variety of dance routines, songs and acting masterclasses. This gave children the opportunity to perform in a way they've never had the opportunity to before and showed them the possibility of a career in performance, which a lot of them didn't know was an option to them. It was amazing to see some outstanding natural performers present themselves. Several of our children have been awarded a scholarship to the Brick Lane Theatre Summer School, where they will get to work with professional West End performers and potentially be given the opportunity to take their performance skills to a professional standard!

Morgan Stanley Visit The children in Year 5 had the opportunity to take part in the chocolate trading game at Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf. The children enjoyed learning about what trading is. They worked in groups with traders and bankers from Morgan Stanley to make decisions to sell and buy stock of chocolate. The children had to work collaboratively to make decisions based on news alerts to invest in or sell their stock of chocolate coins. They had to work on their communication skills to convince others of their own opinions. The winning team won chocolate coins!

Pathway Rooms Here are some pictures from our sensory story, We're Going on a Bear Hunt. The Butterfly children enjoyed exploring the sensory materials, touching and feeling different textures, and having fun.

PE Shaftesbury Primary school have received the highest mark possible, Platinum, from the Government recognised, nationwide organisation, School Games. This means we have achieved Gold 4 years in a row, submitted a successful case study around pupil engagement and meet all the highest criteria for sport, exercise and wellbeing offerings for young people. We show and demonstrate excellent understanding in physical literacy and children's emotional and social wellbeing through activity and healthy lifestyles.

Projects completed at home Children at Shaftesbury go above and beyond and take their learning from the classroom into their homes creating fantastic projects. Playground design in year 1 as part of their DT unit of work.

SeasideReception Reception enjoyed a fantastic trip to the seaside! From exploring the beach and investigating natural treasures to working together in fun games, the children showed curiosity, teamwork, and endless enthusiasm. A day full of learning, laughter, and wonderful memories!

Royal Institution On the 15th June, Shaftesbury welcomed the Royal Institution in for their annual science workshop! This year, Alex - our Science presenter - talked to us all about Energy. The children learnt about different ways that energy is created and used in our bodies and in the world around us as well. Everyone from Reception to Year 6 got a chance to take part and showed great engagement and interest as they discussed renewable and nuclear energy.

Southend Adventure Island Year 6 enjoyed going to Southend Adventure Island celebrating the end of year and end of their journey at Shaftesbury. Children enjoyed the rides conquering their fears and all the seaside sweet treats!

World Music Day To celebrate World Music Day, every class at Shaftesbury Primary School took part in a range of exciting musical activities. Each class selected their own favourite song, learned the lyrics and performed it together, developing their confidence, teamwork and singing skills. Inspired by the songs they had learned, the children then worked collaboratively to write and perform their own original class songs, showcasing their creativity through lyrics that reflected their class identity, friendships and shared experiences. The day was filled with enthusiasm, rhythm, and joyful class performances, highlighting the important role that music plays in bringing our school community together while encouraging selfexpression and creativity

Year 1 Art The children have used natural materials to create sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

Year 2 The children in Year 2 have been learning about fasting in RE. They had an interactive session learning about when Jesus spent 40 days in the desert. They worked in groups to retell and act out parts of the story.

Year 3 DT In DT, Year 3 are exploring pneumatic mechanisms. For our first lesson, we looked at two different ways air can be used in mechanisms to create movement. The children then drew, labelled and explained based on live examples.

Sports Week Shaftesbury sports week is finally in full swing with many year groups participating in track and field events on our playground. Your support this year has been incredible with record crowds coming to watch our athletes! Congratulations to all our winners who have gained points not only for their class but for their school house.

I loved learning about WW2 in Year 6 at Shaftesbury! Also at Fairplay House playing games with my friends in our room – we couldn’t stop laughing! – Siya P I loved it when we went to the theatre in the West End and saw ‘Wicked.’ It was the first time I had ever seen a West End show and I couldn’t believe how amazing it was. – Kyra I loved going on the ‘Wicked’ theatre trip as I have never been to the theatre before – Zayana The Southend trip was amazing because I overcame my fear of rides! – Ayan P One of my favourite memories was singing ‘The Escalator Song’ with my friends and Ms Ineson on our way to the Docklands museum in December – Salwa I loved going to Southend and Fairplay House. Employee of the Year Sarah leads our semi-formal pathway provision. She builds amazing rapport with the parents and understands the individual needs of every child she works with and has worked with historically. She always goes above and beyond for the children and no child is left behind; she's in early every morning and usually leaves late to prepare resources and activities that motivate, stimulate and challenge the pupils. The outcomes the pupils have produced this year have been spectacular and this is down to the pupils being more emotionally regulated. Sarah's love for the children is evident in everything that she does for them. Her behaviour management skills are impeccable; she knows what strategies to use and when to use them effectively to support the children.

Celebrating Our Cultural Day Our school was transformed into a wonderful celebration of colour, diversity and community as we came together to celebrate Cultural Day. Children from across the school proudly arrived dressed in traditional clothing that reflected their cultures and heritage. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to celebrate the rich diversity that makes our school such a special place. Throughout the day, pupils shared stories about their traditions, beliefs, cultures and religions with their classmates. They spoke with pride about their families, customs, languages, celebrations and the values that are important to them. These conversations helped deepen everyone's understanding and appreciation of the many cultures represented within our school community. The day was filled with curiosity, respect and celebration, reminding us that our differences make us stronger and that everyone has a story worth sharing. A huge thank you to all of our children and families for embracing the day with such enthusiasm and for making it such a memorable celebration of inclusion, respect and belonging. 71

Year 5 Visit IntoUniversity Our Year 5 pupils recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to IntoUniversity, where they explored the exciting world of future careers and higher education. Throughout the day, the children learned about a wide range of jobs and career opportunities, encouraging them to think about their own ambitions and the many pathways available to them in the future. One of the highlights of the visit was taking on the role of architects. Working collaboratively in teams, the children designed their own buildings with a focus on sustainability, carefully considering environmentally friendly features such as green spaces, renewable energy sources and energyefficient designs. They then worked together to present their ideas, demonstrating excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. The visit was both engaging and thought-provoking, giving pupils a valuable insight into the importance of teamwork, creativity and planning for the future. We are incredibly proud of how enthusiastically Year 5 embraced the challenges and represented the school with excellent behaviour throughout the day. A huge thank you to the team at IntoUniversity for providing such an enjoyable and inspiring experience. We hope it has sparked aspirations and encouraged our pupils to dream big about their futures. 72

KS1 Sports Day What a fantastic way to round off an incredible year! It was wonderful to see our Key Stage 1 children proudly representing their house colours, giving every event their all with determination, teamwork and huge smiles. The encouragement from the sidelines was just as special, with parents and families cheering every race, celebrating every achievement and even getting involved themselves! The atmosphere was full of laughter, excitement and school spirit, reminding us what makes our school community so special. A huge well done to all of our children for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship, and thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support and make the afternoon so memorable. What a brilliant way to celebrate an amazing year together!

Summer Concert – A Celebration of Talent and Confidence Our annual Summer Concert was a wonderful celebration of music, confidence and community spirit. Children from Nursery through to Year 6 took to the stage to perform a fantastic selection of songs for their families and friends. It was truly heartwarming to hear the children's angelic voices filling the hall and to witness just how much their confidence has grown throughout the year. Every performance reflected the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication of our pupils, and they did both the school and our community incredibly proud. A special highlight of the concert was hearing several children perform solo parts with such confidence and enthusiasm. We may well have a few future stars in the making! We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents and carers for their continued support. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout, and your encouragement made the event even more special for the children. Well done to every pupil who performed—you made it an unforgettable afternoon! 74

Year 6 Leavers Trip to the Cinema As our Year 6 journey draws to a close, we wanted to give our pupils one final treat before they head off to secondary school. Today, they enjoyed a trip to Greenwich for a visit to the cinema, complete with a great film and plenty of treats. It was a chance for them to relax, laugh together and make one more special memory with their friends before beginning the next exciting chapter of their lives. We are incredibly proud of everything this wonderful group has achieved during their time with us. They have grown into kind, confident and ambitious young people, and while we will miss them greatly, we know they are more than ready for the adventures that lie ahead. Good luck, Year 6 – you'll always be part of our school family. We can't wait to see all that you achieve.

Employee of the Year Some people make a difference simply by doing their job well. Others transform the lives of everyone around them. Salma is firmly in the second category. Throughout the year, Salma has been an exceptional member of our team. In Early Years, she has built wonderful relationships with children and families alike. Parents speak so highly of the care, warmth and reassurance she provides, while the children absolutely adore her. She creates an environment where every child feels valued, safe and able to flourish. What makes Salma truly special is her selflessness. No matter what challenges she may be facing personally, she always puts others first. She is the first to offer support, the first to volunteer to help and someone her colleagues know they can always rely on. Her kindness, professionalism and unwavering commitment never go unnoticed. Her dedication was perhaps best demonstrated during our Year 6 trip to Rome. Salma was nothing short of outstanding, providing constant care and reassurance to both pupils and staff. Whether supporting children's wellbeing, solving problems behind the scenes or simply bringing calm to every situation, she went above and beyond to ensure the trip was a success. Salma embodies everything we value as a school: care, commitment, cooperation, courtesy and consideration. She is an inspiration to those around her and has made an immeasurable difference to our school community. It is with enormous gratitude and admiration that we recognise Salma as our Staff Member of the Year. This award is richly deserved.

100% Attendance Reward Trip Cinema and Pizza Express To celebrate their outstanding 100% attendance, pupils were rewarded with a special trip to the cinema and Pizza Express. The day was a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate their commitment to coming to school every day and demonstrating excellent punctuality throughout the year. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching a film at the cinema, sharing the experience with friends and creating lasting memories. Following the movie, the group visited Pizza Express, where they enjoyed a delicious meal together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Throughout the trip, pupils represented the school exceptionally well, displaying excellent behaviour, manners and enthusiasm. The reward was a welldeserved celebration of their dedication and highlighted the importance of regular attendance in supporting learning, achievement and personal development. 79

Year 2 Beach Trip – Tollgate Takes Over Canvey Beach! What a fantastic day our Year 2 children had on their exciting trip to Canvey Island! The beach was full of smiles, laughter, and adventure as Tollgate truly took over the shoreline. The children enjoyed a variety of fun activities, before cooling off with a delicious ice cream. The children had great fun at the park and even paddled and splashed in the sea. With music playing on the beach, there was plenty of singing, dancing, and joyful memories made throughout the day. The trip was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn, explore, and enjoy the outdoors with their friends. Their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm made us all incredibly proud. After such a fun-filled day, it was no surprise that most of the children were fast asleep on the coach journey home. 80

Tollgate’s Summer Fete A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our Summer Fete. We were delighted to see such a fantastic turnout from our school community, and thanks to your generosity and support, we raised a significant amount of money for the school. We would like to thank all the families, friends and visitors who attended, took part in the activities and helped make the event such a wonderful success. The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was fantastic, and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves. A special thank you goes to all of our staff who gave up their time to stay behind and help run stalls, organise activities and ensure everything ran smoothly. Events like these would not be possible without your dedication and support. Finally, a huge thank you to Mr Huckstepp for all of his hard work in organising this year's Summer Fete. His commitment, planning and enthusiasm were instrumental in making the event such a memorable and successful occasion

Year 5 Visit Tower of London Year 5 had a fantastic day visiting the Tower of London, bringing their learning about British history to life. Throughout the day, the children explored the historic site, discovered its fascinating past, and learned about its role as a royal palace, prison, and fortress. The pupils enjoyed seeing the Crown Jewels, exploring the medieval towers, and hearing stories about some of the Tower’s most famous residents and events. They were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and demonstrated excellent knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the visit. We were incredibly proud of the children's behaviour, curiosity, and positive attitude, which made the day both enjoyable and educational. It was a memorable experience that will support their learning back in the classroom and deepen their understanding of this important part of British history. 82

Tollgate Head Girl and Boy Julienna and Daneal are Head Girl and Head Boy at Tollgate Primary School. They have shared some reflections on their time at Tollgate. As you can see from the array of badges on their ties, they have made the most of their time at Tollgate! Julienne Thank you to Mrs O’Connor everyone at Tollgate for making our time here so special. I would like to pass on my special thanks to Mr Myles, who has helped me improve at maths. I used to mix up my numbers and forget my multiplication tables but Mr Myles showed me creative ways to remember them. I have enjoyed lots of experiences at Tollgate, but one of my favourite has been our trip to Fairplay House. Daneal Like Julienne, I also enjoyed our adventures at Fairplay House. My teacher this year has been Mrs de Juan. She has helped me improve my written English. English has been the subject I have struggled with the most, so thank you Mrs de Juan! Julienne and I are both going to the same secondary school, which is great as it means we shall both have a friend on the first day. We’re looking forward to all the new adventures and challenges we will face. Goodbye Tollgate – we shall miss you! 83

Daneal: Thank you to all of the teachers at Tollgate for helping me throughout my time at this school. It is a very bittersweet moment as I start a new chapter in my life, however I am so grateful for all the memories I have made. I will miss everyone, especially the friends I have made who are going to different schools. Goodluck to everyone for the future. Nile: My favourite memory is when I went to Fairplay House and I woke up Mr. Parsons at midnight and he came into the room and gave us a 20-minute lecture on why we should be asleep. He didn't look happy with us. I will miss my friends and teachers, and I wish everyone good luck for the future. Folatoke: My favourite memory was when we were at Fairplay House and we did a talent show. My friends and I impersonated the Tollgate teachers. Everyone found it funny and we had the best time! I will miss Tollgate Primary so much. Aisha: I want to thank all of my teachers such as Mrs De Juan and Miss Newton because when I really needed them, they were always there to support me and always challenged me to do my best. I'm grateful for all the strategies they taught me to be successful. I will miss Tollgate.

LDE Trainee Teachers QTS Celebration All of our 25/26 trainees gained QTS and their PGCE from Liverpool Hope University. We held a small celebration in the garden at Tollgate, as the trainee will have their formal graduation in Liverpool in the new year. We thank Harriet Harvey-Moore from Ambition Institute for coming to celebrate with us and for Harriet and Rosetta for their heartfelt speeches which brought a tear to the eye! LDE Trainee Teacher Induction 26/27 cohort Rosetta and Elana organised an amazing Induction Day (1 of 4) for our new cohort of trainees for the next academic year. They will train in schools far and wide Primary trainees will have their centrebased training at Tollgate and Secondary centre-based training will take place at Clara Grant with the stunning views! We have 54 trainees on programme for 25/26 - 20 Primary and the rest secondary.

LDE Out and About... Sarah out and about again on Appropriate Body business. This time at St. Bons in Newham working with the school to support their ECTs. Sarah put so much care and efforts into her visits she even coordinated her dress to the school.

NPQ SEND with Best Practice... We run various Best Practice Network NPQ programnmes will facilitators from across the Trust and Teaching School Hub area. This one is NPQ for SENDCos run by Martin Stanley our Trust SEND Lead and Emily Patel the SENDCo from Ravenscroft Primary School.

LDE Partnership Board Each term we hold the LDE Partnership Board meeting of local MAT CEOs, HEad Teachers, LA Respresentatives and other stakeholders - along with the Maths and English Hubs. We discuss all areas of the TSH remit and gain really helpful support and challenge from across our hub area. Thank you to all that attend. We use the same data to report back to the Boleyn Trust Standards Committe of Trustees every term.
