Coach’s Comments

I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Eastern Suburbs to Linfield Park for our Round 6 game in the National League.

Eastern Suburbs come into this game after a strong last outing against Auckland City, where I don’t think the score really reflected their performance. We are under no illusion as to the difficulty of the task in front of us and that we will need to be at our best to something out of the game.

We come into the game on a decent run of form with two wins and a hard fought draw against Tech in our last three games; we look forward to the opportunity to maintain this momentum and give our supporters something to celebrate.

Today’s game will mark the 100th appearance for Coastal Spirit for Jack

Mitchell, I’d like to congratulate Buzz on this achievement; he has been a terrific performer for us all season.

Thank you to all our volunteers and your work that makes today possible, I hope that you and all our supporters enjoy the day.

Captain’s comments COASTAL SPIRIT FC

We’re very excited to welcome Eastern Suburbs, along with their staff and players, for our second National League home game at Linfield Park.

We are now 5 games into the National League and are happy with the progress we are continuing to make. After a good win away in Wellington against the Nix Reserves and a very entertaining draw against our rivals Cash Tech, the boys are hoping to follow up with another good performance today.

I’d like to give a huge special shout-out to Tania Hughes, for providing both

teams and the officials with our after-match food. We know this is a huge task and you put tireless work into this every week, so a huge thank you to you.

Additionally, I would like to thank the supporters who come down every week to cheer us on. Your support is definitely heard on the pitch and hopefully today we can provide you with a few more goals and another good performance at home.

Coach’s Comments

We look forward to meeting Coastal Spirit today at Linfield Park for what’s sure to be a great game of football. With Coastal Spirit breaking into the National League Championship this year it’s always a great opportunity to test ourselves against a new side.

The past few weeks we have played some competitive football with a young side, but have been unfortunate for the results not to go our way.

Today’s match will no doubt be a good battle as we look to redeem ourselves, and Coastal look to continue their fight for a top-two finish.

Thanks to the team at Linfield Park for hosting us today, and all the best for the rest of the championship.
